It was only a matter of time before Damien found out that he could ride the train to other places on the Gaia map. After figuring this out the jovial fox boy nabbed some cash and took a train to an industrial town called, Aekea. He had never been to this city before and after a he had stepped off the train, he got a little nervous. There were so many new things and new smells to peruse through, and it was all a little daunting.
In order to get a sense of where he was amid all this, he sat down on the grass and watched the cars and people go by. He wished he had brought someone along to wander with. He felt silly for not thinking this through.

Suddenly, from somewhere hiding in the grass, he was pounced on by a small Chikorita, who made a loud happy chittering as she danced around on his head. Moxie had tackled the unsuspecting fox boy and now she was performing a victory dance! By which she meant she had jumped up from a bed of green and was now waddling back and forth in a semi-circle on his head.
She chirped and chittered and made a bunch of meaningless noises to indicate she was happy before poking at his ear with one of her teeny little feet.

"Ah!" Damien squealed as he was tackled down. Although he was shocked, he began laughing when he recognized the chirping that his attacker was making. It was a Chikorita! He had encountered a few before as a Pokemon, and they were all just as crazy as he was.
He turned onto his back as his ear was poked and rubbed the front of his face when he had landed. All the while he laughed and smiled at the Chikorita.
"Wow! You're really good at sneaking up on people!" He exclaimed. "You sure got me! I didn't even hear you from behind me! I'm usually good at that."

She seemingly giggled and screed happily, jumping down and playfully headbutting his side a little - no force behind it and no real power, just a little soft bumping into him. The little pokemon happily ran about him and seemingly was interested in playing with the other child!

Damien laughed and sat up, watching the Chikorita run around him.
"Oh, you want to play?" He asked, grinning. "Well... I've never been here before. What can we play with?"

She looked around some before immediately pointing her leaf at some of the more harmless junk piles and rushing over to poke her head out of a discarded cardboard box. She chirped a few times and wiggled around in it like she was a robot or something.

Damien giggled and followed the Chikorita over the junk piles. He took note of how she was pretending to be a robot and quickly grabbed a large cardboard tube and a trash can lid. Then, he assumed a fighting stance.
"Avast, ye robot!" He shouted. "Thou shall not harm this fair city!" He briefly flailed his cardboard tube toward the city and smirked. "I challenge thee... TO A DUEL!"

She trilled happily and charged at him in the box, which wasn't very fast to move at all and seemed to just lightly bump it into his ankles some. Had they known much about Aekea they could have gotten called out for racism or something but as it was a kid and a pokemon they really didn't know better anyway.

Damien pretended to wobble and teeter as Moxie hit his ankles.
"Oh no! My balance!" He whined, giggling as he lightly tapped his cardboard "sword" on the top of Moxie's box. "Take that! and That!"
