Utte Vina wandered up the midway that lead from the front gate of the carnival. It was late afternoon, but soon the lights would shine brightly like a small city in the middle of a dark sea. She loved the milling crowds and the sounds of screaming children. As she passed the haunted house, some of those screams were filled with terror. She turned an almost serene smile towards the sound before continuing on her way. Without exception, she truly loved it here.

Ravon sauntered about, trying to find something interesting to do. Instead of a bare chest and showing off his tattoos, he wore a long sleeved white shirt under a black t-shirt. Simple, but comfortable. He comes across the entrance of what seemed like a Carnival, curious he wanders over.
"This must be that Carnival that Utte had mentioned." He murmurs to himself, eyes dancing at the lights and sounds starting up behind the gate. He remembered the girl easily, as she was one of the first he met arriving to the shop.

Today Utte's job was to sell balloons. She was resting her singing voice for the next few days, but she would still play an instrument later on tonight. She went through the notes in her head as she danced through the crowd, wearing one of her brightly-colored costumes. Her face and hair needed little doctoring with her natural complexion what it was.
Passing a pair of balloons to a young brother and sister, she spotted a familiar form in the crowd. At first it felt merely like deja vu, a glimpse of someone she had met recently, but with the wrong posture. With a smile and a wave to the kids, she continued on her way, weaving between revelers in the general direction she had seen Ravon pass through. But not seeing him right away for her back was unfortunately turned to him, she was distracted by a boy who wanted to buy balloons for his girlfriend.
She'd find out if it had been Ravon, eventually.

"Step right up! Take yer' shot, young man! How many of these 'ere balloons can ye' pop, eh?"
A gentleman in a brightly colored suit waves Ravon over, a handful of darts in one hand and the other waving at the array of balloons blown up on the wall. It seemed as if each one held a ticket for a prize inside. The Guardian Angel points to himself curiously before wandering over.
"Yes! Ye', care tah take a shot, m'boy?"
The dark skinned Pockettu could only laugh inside as the other called him 'boy' and 'young man'. He was far older than many of the others around, but that was his dirty little secret, no? "Sure, why not. How much for a round?"
"Oooh, it'll be free fer tha' first three shots! After that it'll be ten bucks per five."
"Ok, I'll take my three shots." Ravon happily takes the three darts offered to him and looks at the balloons. "Any specific rules?"
"Just'ta simple one, pop as many as ye' can. There be tickets inside that'll tell ya' yer prizes."
"Huh, ok."

Utte had successfully found homes for all but a handful of balloons before continuing on her way. She had begun to wonder if she would ever see Ravon's face when she walked past a booth, catching a brief bit of the conversation. She knew both voices, one of her colleague, the other of Ravon! She turned and slipped up to the front of the booth where people lined up to take their shots. She smiled and winked at the one manning the booth and silently watched while Ravon decided whether to try to pop the balloons or not.

"Well, I guess I'll try it out. Supposed to have fun at a Carnival, right?" He smiles and shuffles his wings, taking aim like a newbie at a bunch of balloons. He flings the dart all wrong, completely missing them altogether. He blushes lightly and smiles weakly. The man winked back at Utte before concentrating once more on the crowd he had. He laughs softly at the winged man at his booth.
"Yeh still got two more darts."
"Hopefully I don't hurt anyone. It's been a long time since I played a game like this." Taking aim once more, and his time at doing such, he tosses again. Managing to hit a small blue balloon with a loud POOPF!, also making Ravon jump a little, "Oh! I got one!"
"That ya' did." The man walks up and grabs the ticket, handing it to Ravon before stepping back out of the way, "One more shot, eh?"
Taking his final aim, his eyes get serious for a split second as he aims and flicks his wrist with expertise, managing to pop a few balloons near each other. The playful look on his face returns to normal, as if he'd done it by complete accident, "Oh my gosh, I got a few!" He grins happily as a little girl nearby pouts to her daddy that she didn't get anything and wanted to go another round. He glances at them as he collects the rest of his tickets, looking them over, and hands all but one to the girl. "Here you go sweetie, I'm on my own just playing around, so you can have my extra prizes." He winks at her and waves the dads thanks. Collecting his prize of a small bear with a top hat and bow tie on.

While Utte watched, Ravon seemed to get progressively better at the game. She couldn't help but giggle under her breath at his first miss, but his successive wins -- and giving the gifts to the little girl nearby -- were impressive. After he had collected his single prize, she stepped up by his elbow, taking hold of it lightly, and smiled up at him. "Bravo! What a show, good sir."

Glancing down at his side in slight surprise, he raises an eyebrow at Utte and adjusts his arm a bit for better hold. "I do what I can." He smiles softly and shuffles his wings, "It's good to see you again, Utte. A lovely outfit you are wearing this fine evening too." He chuckles lightly at her costume.

"I see that!" Though it might make sense that someone called a 'guardian angel' would do charitable things for strangers, actions always speak loudly of an individual. Utte let go of Ravon's arm to spin around and curtsy lightly. The balloons at her side bobbed and twirled; she knew how to move to make them do what she wanted. She could hear children begin to bother their parents for those 'fancy' balloons. "Thank you, Ravon. I guess you could call it a uniform. I need to stand out so people will know I'm actually selling these," she grinned. Then she tilted her head curiously, "For some reason I didn't think you'd come, you seemed...unsure of this place, last time we spoke. I was surprised. But it's s nice surprise."

"I didn't think I'd come either, but I passed by and figured I'd give it a shot. You did say it was fun." He grins and shuffles his wings, "When do you got a break, maybe you could show me around a bit?"

Utte tugged lightly on the small handful of balloons remaining at her side. "Once I've sold the last of these, I'm free to take a break. I could probably do both at once if you don't mind swarms of balloon enthusiasts," she chuckled.

Smiling softly he shrugs his wings, stuffing his hands in his pockets, "I could help you sell, if that'd be alright." He was happy to help his new friend out, even if it meant 'working' a little.

"Hm," Utte smirked at him slyly, but only briefly. "That's not necessary. But I would certainly enjoy the company. This shouldn't take long. And I'm technically still working, I just happen to have a friend along."

"Fine, suit yourself." He shrugs his wings casually and looks around, eyes sparkling as he adjusts his grip on the toy he'd won earlier. The noises of the carnival reminded him of the good days back home. The squeals of laughter and occasional shriek of surprise followed by more laughter. The occasional parent scolding a child, the child crying or whining back. He seemed to be lost in thought for a moment, his eyes looking very thoughtful and a frown on his face now.

Utte chuckles at Ravon then glances around She took the angel's moments of distraction to fall into her routine, walking in a deliberate way that would bring to mind ballet while manipulaating the small group of balloons. It took little time to attract some children, and eventually one or two convinced a parent to buy them one. Tiny grabby hands tried to touch her skirt, or Ravon's feathery wings. Her laughter was carefree and childlike. "Ah, last one gone," she said finally with a little wistfulness in her tone, then turned her smile upon Ravon. "Now I'm all yours. What would you like to see?"
