Name: Khanda (Gujarati for sugar) Zitisi (Greek for demand)

Blood colour: 6d0085User Image

Gender: Female

Symbol: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Alchemy for fool's gold.

Personality: Khanda is a lonely troll. She puts up a good face and acts like her seclusion doesn't bother her, but it really does. After what happened to the last queen and many other trolls of the upper-class her lusus hid her away deep in the ocean and basically kept her under hive arrest. She had always been rather protective of her little charge, not allowing her to go on land and always being with her when she went out, but after the assassination of the upper-class she hardly ever let her leave the hive. While she hardly saw anyone before afterwards she has yet to see another soul within her small, protective bubble.

As she was no longer allowed to explore the ocean her lusus took the extra time to make sure Khanda learned how to be a proper high-class citizen of Alternia. Those lessons were very boring so Khanda became quite a restless young troll, yearning to once more swim about in the sea. She longs to travel the Alternian landscape and make lots and lots of friends! The world is her platter and she intends to take every opportunity she can to experience it one night. Especially the sweets. Man, does she love sweets. Walrusmom is also strict with her diet and rarely lets her have dessert.

The lessons she partook in nightly were mostly in the academic nature, but the hemospectrum was also a very important part. Khanda was always told that as a seadweller she was better than any of that trash that lived on the land. With the emphasis on how superior she is Khanda grew to be a bit big-headed, even thinking that she and the queen are equals despite being on the lower end of seadwellers (Walrusmom spent so much time talking about how much better she was than landdwellers she forgot the mention that being a seadweller does not mean you're at the top).

Strengths:
-Protective
If Khanda has decided something is important to her she will guard it with her life. May it be a present from a friend or the friend themselves. No one will touch any of her things without getting through her first.
-Determined
Once she has set her mind to something Khanda has every intention on following through. Even if things look bleak she will find a way to persevere. Despite having a collapsing and expanding bladder based aquatic vascular system it burns with a fire that can't be quenched.
-Scholarly
She can do math equations and read a map in a blink of the eye. Her best subjects are actually Tactics and Navigation. She has a wealth of knowledge all thanks to the teachings of her lusus. While the lessons may have been boring she did pay attention to them. Her interest in them were mostly to make Walrus mom proud of her. Also, possibly, to prove to herself that she is as great as she has continually been told. She doesn't flaunt the fact that she knows things, but if someone were to ask a question in her range of hearing she would have no problem answering it.
-Adventurous
There's so much to see and do! Khanda is always ready to go on an adventure and explore. Since her grubhood has been confined to her hive and a very small bubble around it (under the watchful protection of her lusus, of course) she wants to get out and stretch her legs!
Flaws:
- Demanding
If there is something Khanda wants you better believe you'll hear about it. As a seadweller she doesn't believe she should have to get or do things herself, that's stuff for landdwellers. She's tired, carry her. She's hungry, go get her food. She's bored, tell her a story. An important part of her lusus's lessons, after all, were that she is entitled and is better than anyone who does not have fins on their face. In Khanda's mind that's just how the world works and even if she orders everyone around they will still love her, because she's a seadweller and they are awesome.
-Clingy
Growing up without any friends Khanda won't let go of any she makes, even if it smothers them. If she sees a familiar troll she will attach herself to them and not leave them be, even dragging them along with her to where ever she is going. Sometimes she even views other trolls as her property, but never in a condescending way. If you are her friend she really does care for you.
-Naive
Even though she is book smart she is no way street smart. Living in such a small world with no interaction with other trolls has left her rather stupid when it comes to the dos and don'ts of being social and how to spot a lie. If another troll tells her that if she hugs a cholerbear she'll be perfectly fine she'll believe them. She will be amazed by everyday things. Items that never were deemed "important" enough by her lusus to be in a lesson or ever in her hive will blow her mind.
-Superficial
Appearances are everything. Khanda has no time for ugly or gross things. She'd be more attracted to an ornate, plastic weapon than to a rusty broadsword. Despite knowing the latter to be better for actually killing something she'd much rather have the pretty prop. Same goes for trolls. She'd be much nicer to those who wore nice clothes than to those who wore rags. She herself can not stand to have messy hair or a stain on her clothes.

Weapon: BunnyKind! She uses a chain whip.

Appearance: Khanda
She wears a one-piece swimsuit that has a wrap top and her symbol on her abdomen. Around her waist is a cover-up in her blood color. She goes barefoot and wears a pendant of her blood color on a golden chain. (some golden anklets or bracelets, maybe? IDK)
Her bangs are styled in a heart cut and all of her hair (save for two strands framing her face) is pulled back into a loose ponytail with a big purple bow. One horn bends out slightly before making a gentle arc back the other direction while the other horn makes a gentle curl. She wears mascara and lipstick in her blood color and has large eyes.

Home: Ocean

Lusus: Walrusmom named Beskytte, referred to as Bessy.

Power: none

crit time! o vo /flails

the first thing that stood out to me is Khanda's seclusion/lonliness. Understandable her lusus would lock her away after what happened to the Queen- but that was still fairly recent timeline wise. What about before then? Was she still kept under a watchful eye and has always been ronery, or were things more strict after the Queen's death?

you don't really go too in depth on Khanda's opinion of the blood caste system, which is fairly significant for seadwellers. you mention walrusmom taught her that she is better than everyone else; does she concur? if so, how does that opinion effect her ability to make friends, and does khanda realize this?
simply being a seadweller must dampen her ability to make friends, as a lot of the lower castes are afraid of highbloods- especially seadwellers. how does khanda feel about that?

@scholarly: are there specific feilds khanda is good with, or has a knack for? being overall super smart in everything is slightly unrealistic imo. if you want her to be that knowledgable I feel like you need to develop the trait a bit more and play it up, maybe go into her academic interests, motivations, and things like that. :3

@demanding: this seems fairly counter productive to khanda's main motivation to make friends, haha. i get that it's part of walrusmom's teachings- but does khanda realize that this would push most trolls away? does she simply not know better?

@clingy It seems a little contridictory to me that khanda would ditch out on whoever she was with if someone more interesting came along. Then it's like her desire for friendship isn't genuine, it's just that in the moment she doesn't want to be alone. how does khanda act if someone doesnt want her around them? what if she genuinely upsets or angers them?

@fire-y anger... lol, maybe there's a better term for this? quick/hot tempered? also you mean wail, not wale. (or whale.... lol fish puns) I feel like this is a little flat- why does she get into such fits, what goes through her mind? You need more reasons for what can trigger these episodes, I feel, as well as how she calms herself down. :3 Otherwise it seems highly situational, and therefore less of a flaw and more of a quirk.

overall i think you have a great start here; you just need to flesh out some of her qualities a bit more.

Yeah, for clingy I guess I worded that wrong. I didn't want to make it seem like she'd abandon people at the drop of hat. I guess I just wanted to make it seem like they had a chance of escape? Oh well, took that out. As for the anger, yeah, it is more of a quirk since it's really just a violent temper tantrum. I didn't like the wording either, but my brain died. Changed her last flaw to superficial. c=
