"Hey! Hold it right there!" an officer snapped as he struggled to keep up with the quickly vanishing young man. The suspect was a quick lad who stood at about five and a half foot. He had blue hair as dark as midnight and his deep eyes were just a slightly lighter shade of blue. He wore dark clothes with a bag stuffed full with various pokeballs he'd snatched from an apartment in Champhoreon City.. He tore around a corner, stumbling slightly and just making it to his feet in time to jump onto a fence, and over it. The officer tried following but barely made it to the top before falling back on his butt. Ezra smirked and thought he was home-free. He turned the corner, slowed to a walk and melded into the crowd, whistling a jaunty tune in hopes to look innocent. He was a few blocks from the underground tunnel where he could stash these pokeballs til later and get some rest when a flashlight landed on him. "You're getting quicker, Ezra but you know the drill. Hand over the bag, get up against the wall and spread your legs." the officer growled as if he were rambling off a nightly routine. Ezra scoffed and scratched his head with a hand on his hip, smirking lightly. "Dang... Well, you got me, officer." he said and started to remove his bag but just as the cop reached out, he released a small pichu that immediately waddled up. "Pi... Pi... PICCCCHHHUUUU!!!!" the little guy squealed before shooting off jolts of lightning that forced the officer back. Ezra smirked and took off, calling Lieji to follow him. "Pi!" he responded and ran after, catching up and climbing up his trainer's leg and onto his shoulder. Ezra made it into the underground tunnel in enough time to dive into his hidden spot before the cop caught up.

A blur suddenly dashed by Ezra's hiding spot and there was a shout and then a thud in the not so far distance where the cop had been.
However, another dark figure came out of the tunnel's shadows from the opposite direction. Whoever it was paused, and seemed to look in the direction where Ezra was hiding. The person then started to approach.

Ezra rolled his eyes and crawled out with Lieji shivering in his arms. "Now what?" he muttered, looking towards the stranger. He could handle cops, they were easy. Usually, he just conned his way out with games or distractions and, on the rare occasion he couldn't make it out through tricks, he never ended up in jail longer than a few days but, he wasn't sure what this stranger wanted and he hoped it wasn't a fight. He tended to avoid other trainers since he didn't want to put his only pokemon in harm's way at all.

As Ezra got up to meet the stranger, he would be able to make out details. It was a young man in his late teens, dressed entirely in black with short red hair. A pair of green eyes that also glared at him.
"Who the hell are you," he demanded . "You've got some nerve bringing the cops all the way down here." This said as he folded his arms across his chest.
He had been on a mission after all, to check up on the old outpost since the incident a while back. To see if anything had changed. Last thing he wanted was for the police to find out he was here.

 I was born...Ezra cocked his head to the side. "What in the-- I only ran down here to get away from them..." he muttered. "Besides, who are you to come barging in here this late at night, anyways? You don't seem like the usual homeless that hide in here."  To set the world ablaze!!!

The red head huffed and rolled his eyes. "That's cause I'm not." Duh. Homeless indeed. He had more self respect than to get himself into that sort of situation.
"What I'm doing here is none of your damn business. So get the hell out."
It was than that the blur from before, returned. A large Pokemon loomed over them, one Zoroark. Its glinting green eyes matched those of its trainer, and narrowed at the supposedly homeless punk.

I was born... Leiji stopped shuddering and climbed up onto Ezra's shoulder, trying to look brave. "Look, I'm not gonna fight you. If you want this crappy place, take it and I'll find some other place to crash." He highly doubted Leiji could handle a fight like this one and, he didn't want to stick around in case the cops did show back up. To set the world ablaze!!!

The red head put a hand to his forehead in clear irritated exasperation.
"Nobody said anything about fighting, idiot. I already told you to get out, so what's keeping you?"
He really didn't have the patience to deal with this.

I was born... Ezra threw his hands up and shook his head. "Whatever, I'm gone!" he snapped and turned to leave but he didn't make it two steps before two more cops came in with arcanine's at their side. "We got wise to you, Ezra. You can't hide now that our hounds can sniff you out." one officer pointed out, reaching for his cuffs. "Now, let's do this the easy way and maybe the judge will go easy on you this time." he offered. To set the world ablaze!!!

The red head looked up just in time to have flashlights shining in his face. Raising his hand, his green eyes squinted at the light. "Ugh, you're such a pain!" He yelled, but whether or not he was referring to Ezra, the cops, or both, was not made clear.
Either way, these cops had to be dealt with, no matter who they were after.
"Saber, go!" The teen yelled, and the Zoroark went into action, leaping at one of the Arcanines and swiping his claws in a Night Slash.
In the next moment, there was a burst of light as a fierce looking black Rapidash was released. Its flames lighting up the tunnel as it too dashed for the other Arcanine on command. The fire horse's body cracking with electricity as it used a Wild Charge attack.
"Just what the hell did you do?!" The red head then demanded of Ezra. He must have done something pretty noteworthy to have this many cops on his tail.

I was born... "It's called surviving..." Ezra replied with a shrug. "I steal pokemon to sell and these cops have a thing against that." he explained. "...especially considering these ones were all part of a poke mill in a small apartment." he added, muttering to himself. To set the world ablaze!!!

"Hmph. So that's it. They think you're one of us," the boy muttered under his breath. It all made sense now. Anyone who was stealing Pokemon would probably be lumped in with Team Rocket, especially now that the League was in town.
Howls of pain could be heard from the Arcanines as they were attacked, as well as bursts of flame as they countered.

I was born... "One of you?" Ezra wondered, blinking his eyes. Then, he realized what the 'us' was. "Aww.. Crap... Don't tell me I just got help from a Rocket." he mumbled, slumping his shoulders. "The cops will never stop hunting me now. They're gonna think I'm with you guys!" To set the world ablaze!!!

There was a snort. "I'm not helping you! You and your cop friends are in my way!"
Speaking of cops, there was shouts from the two policeman as they barked out orders and their fire dogs attacked.
"Saber, use Night Daze! Havoc, Stomp!"
The black Rapidash whinnied and reared up on hits hind legs after being struck with a flame wheel, before bringing its hooves down on one of the Arcanines. There was also a flash of dark energy as the Zoroark attacked.

I was born... "Whatever, I'm getting out of here while I can!" Ezra yelled and darted out of the tunnel with Leiji fast on his trail. He wasn't sure what the point of running was cause there was no way he was getting away with being accused of being a Rocket. No cop in Kodo would believe he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. To set the world ablaze!!!
