So, as I'm sure we've all noticed, activity is very, very low right now. I won't try to claim that I haven't had a hand in that, but I do want to see it end. Unfortunately, try as I may, I can't read your minds (Perfectly.) through the computer, to know what needs to be done to remedy it. So, I bring it to you.
What would make you more active? The more ideas brought forth for increasing activity, the more likely something works. And being your idea, we at least know it would work on you. =p
So please, speak out! Even if your idea is utterly ridiculous, I'd like to hear it.

LT hasnt had a new student in forever
Also we need more blood, people just dont die in the guild for some reason. WE gotta change that.

I don't mind making a rouge nin for LT to kill, but I can't do anything with it right now. Working under this dual enrollment Crap is Tuff.
No school would make a ton of people active. razz

A zombie horde of flesh-devouring mutant humanoids would be nice.
Or we could create a team of scientist shinobi and have them create some weird mutant creature and jack it full of steroids and let it terrorize POTS.

No school would make a ton of people active. razz Thanks, but No rouge npc, we need someones real RPC to die. We need people to get emotional about their RPCs so they get invested in them, and dont want to lose them. We need to take out some one tough and rock the foundations, shock em to their core. It just people on these rp's are whiny babies and will b***h and moan about losing their character. So we need to make a list of whose willing to die. First on the list will be me.

Unfortunately none of these methods are really, doable. We can't force people to join the guild, though we can give incentives, and I ask that all of you please invite any friends you know that might enjoy the guild, and we certainly can't randomly kill off someone's RPC. (I'm uncertain that killing someone's RPC is the best way to increase anyone's activity too, but risk of death will make the RP more interesting for sure.)
What we're looking for here is suggestions for ways we could alter how the guild works to increase activity. What incentives could we provide? What would make you quit your job, drop out of school, and just sit in front of your PC all day waiting for the next chance to post? (Please don't do that.)

I find this a contridictary statement...but that may because I lack understanding. gaia_diamond gaia_diamond No disrespect intended, please don't miss understand me when I say this but...
The establishment of your guild will depend on new members. To say, that this method is not "doable", means that you aren't willing to invest in the productivity or activity of a guild. For instance, those who truly want to roleplay - will roleplay without "incentives" like prizes, gifts, or items. Truly the heart of a true roleplayer is within the writing and creativity of the art. The only true need is a storyline/plot that is worth playing in (and a role-play worth joining!).
My suggestions from just the recent experiences I've had on the site may be limited, but I'll share them with you anyway because incite from someone who just recently applied may help you understand why you are not seeing the true growth or activity you may need...
I am unsure of how many ninja actually exist in your guild nor how many are active. I am merely focusing on the "new member" side of this issue.
While you do have a profile skeleton to follow, you also have many pages of uncondensed, incoherent information that overwhelm those looking into the guild. I see a need to weed out those who are not worthy of the "shinobi" title, and also the need to keep those from being "over-powerful". Still, while the skeleton is nice...an explanation of how one should go about filling it out or rather, how the rules of play go around here, would be nice.
I am not saying "go to this page to find this answer, and this page to find this answer" but something more significant than "read everything then fill this out" would be beneficial. If it wasn't for my invitation from a good friend, and also encouragement that it was a nice place to roleplay, I would have given up out of sheer confusion. I chalked this up to the fact that I didn't know a thing about Naruto. But, it was suggested that I did not need that knowledge in order to join or play (which appears to be the case).
I believe a statement of what the guild stands for, how roleplaying works, and perhaps a plotline will help even old members become more active.
Another suggestion is: ask for suggestions on what people would LIKE to see in their guild! More people are willing to recommend or advertise to come to the guild if they are excited about what they do. The common excuse "I'm too busy because of [x]" is simply a statement of, "The priorities in my life, have more excitement than this." People can't even take the 5 minutes of downtime in their lives to reply to a post because - it's not worth replying too!
If people can post in OOC or Chat that they are too busy...they probably would find time to squeeze in a post if it were more exciting. This is just my suggestion and previous experience. I, again, don't know much about what goes on here - but this is just from what I've seen thus far. gaia_diamond

I actually agree with Natsumi.
She does point out that there is a surprising lack of Plot going on in the guild currently. We have ONE baddie tearing Sunagakure apart. While good for the ( Two ) active members of Sunagakure, it doesn't help Konohagakure, Kumogakure, or Kirigakure.
Konohagakure has somewhat stagnated because Zin isn't there as far as I can tell. There is a post in Konohagakure maybe once a week as far as I can tell.
Then Kumogakure is filled with a single jonin, a chunin, and six genin. ( Five if Lance isn't being very active, or that other guy, Kris6 I think his name is? ) Hardly enough to NOT be doing something with. That is actually 8 people, so why is it that we're not even as active as Konohagakure!?!? Sorry, that's simply my direst due to Kumogakure being one of my favorite villages currently. sweatdrop
Kirigakure is self sustaining itself, but it too is starting to bog down. Without Kane, or Yamatano, they only have Luo, LT, and Matsuya to train the genin in the village. Literally, THE GENIN, as in Masaki. Why isn't Masaki a chunin by now? He has probably the three strongest people to train him. LT with his evil training ways, Luo with his extreme intellect, and Matsuya with his... Nara-ness? I get that they now have Duo, but he is kinda not on their good side right now.
Sunagakure is being hammered by a metal guy who wants to play with an oversized raccoon, and is currently unable to because two chunin keep jumping in the way. Then you've got two ( Three counting Panthers' character. ) genin standing on the side completely useless. ( unless Sora is doing something, I haven't checked that thread in forever. ) And one active genin who should be attempting to help the village himself, with hte help of an NPC who will hopefully teach him the art of sealing afterward for a fee. ( If it wasn't for the fact that Hinote is able to n** any problems I have with sealing in the bud if I learn from him, I'd more than likely simply buy the scrolls since I'm having to pay for them. )
I'm saying that the amount of plot events needs to be much higher in this guild. I know my fellow members of the ADT are working hard, but we need a couple of mini arcs for the villages themselves. Maybe there is a fire, or a band of thugs rolls into town. Hell, pirates could attack Kirigakure or something, or Huns attack Kumo. Something fun and engaging like the zombie halloween arc Kiri had a while back.
