The list hadn't really been forgotten so much as... put to the side. He'd gotten a good number of the things done but with the mission to hell pony island, followed by insanity island, there wasn't much time to do the rest. Well, he also just couldn't do the rest due to the state of the island.

Still, it had been a while and he felt that it was high time he reported to Aria of his progress. No idea where to find her, he settled for a text.

As he came in, Dis brushed against his mind, reminding him that the worst Aria had done was glare at him, and Cass liked her. He needn't worry.
The weapon was wise to know his hunter's worries with the division leads.

"Thanks," as he sat down, Marcus pulled out the same scrap of paper aria had written on several months prior. Only now, it held a few new marks on it, though, it was not covered in them




Handing it to her, he knew he hadn't done everything but- "I didn't want to file a mission report until I had cleared it all, but with everything that happened from the horseman mission, haven't been really able to do the others until recently." Disappointment was evident in his voice. "I mean, I did talk to Miss Carr about taking some body guard work, but that's not what you asked for."

The moon trainee was unsure, and Dis was placating him that Aria didn't seem the type to throw him into the pods for not doing all the things. "I'd.. also like to give the mission report now if it's alright."

A shoulder rolled back as Marcus worked on relaxing a bit. Tense would do him no good. "I spent most of the clearing trips defending. And.. To be honest, Lance was really good, I was kind of wondering why we hadn't seen him before and we don't see him as often as the other assistants. Granted the bunkers were rather... cramped."

Smiling he went on. "But you're right, not the topic. Okay, um-" A deep breath and Marcus began. "The purpose of the moon division is to keep others alive, on and off the battlefield. We build defenses so others can say safe while they work, and we're the ones that others should be able to count on to protect them. We accomplish this by training and working closely with our assigned team, going to where we're needed on field. If we're not building, we're defending. If not defending, we're healing. If not healing, we're building. We don't rush to fight, we don't go gather information, and we don't do much research. We defend and heal."

Now the tricky part, the one that Dis wasn't touching this time around. "If I wasn't in the moon division, I would probably be in the sun division throwing myself into fights. I also would probably be dead. That uh.. concludes my report?"

A for effort Marcus, A for effort.

There was a pause as the weapon offered his thoughts.

"........Pretty much."
A small pause.
"...........Dis that is not what moons are about god damn it" He wasn't about to say what Dis thought moons were about. Nope. He was not going to play parrot.

You and Cass both Aria, you and Cass both.

Dis's jabs aside, Marcus had to press on. Just don't linger on the 'bad', he told himself. He could get angry later. "Well... I'm another body. My place is where I'm needed really, even if that means working on injuries. Normally, I'd be out in front acting as a shield for the other hunters. Off duty, I'm usually at the town working to rebuild or fix things. My place is just... where I'm told to go."

He shrugged. "I defend people. That's just what I do."

"I'm training, doing paperwork, helping the other trainees, or just.. generally working." He felt like hitting his head on the desk now. "I just... do stuff."

Like Cass.
"Like Cass."
AHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHH

Marcus sat there utterly stunned. Slowly, he reached up, pulling Dis off of his ear at setting him on the desk, a blush forming on Marcus's face. He suddenly found his shoes very, very interesting.

"Ye Ma'am." He didn't need to be told twice. Grabbing Dis off the desk, the moon trainee was out of her office in less then 3 seconds.


Later, he'd curse up a storm at Dis, lay in bed and beat himself up over his stupidity, and then cuddle with Cass.

He was never going to talk about it ever again.
