Bix was enjoying the return to normal on the island. The slight drifting of fog was back, the breasts were gone and he'd taken a break to crawl out under a tree with a small pile of books.
The albino was a large white spot in the green of the grass, sun blazoned on the back of his intermediate coat. He was on his belly, a fat text book in front of him with a very obvious comic book stuck into the middle of it. He wasn't far from the main building and within sight of the walking path.
Bix was antsy, every couple of minutes he'd roll or shift or adjust, antsy while he read. His eyes were glued to the fascinating 'text book'.

Anxious was one word for it, jittery was another. Paranoid? Probably.
All of these summed up in to her current mood... one that she would file under the 'stressed' category. She wasnt sleeping as much as she used to, that fear always in the back of her mind that she would wake up with 5 more months of her life gone in a flash of white cloaks and nightmares.
It was all that kept her wanting to study more, make sure THAT mistake never happened again. The raven haired woman was walking down the pathways, once again searching for the library... it was almost as if that one mission she went on was a blur, a while ago. She was in the library once.. right? Fact was messing up with fiction in her mind, what part of her past was real and what part was dream?
It was not too hard to spot him as he sat there, he white against the greens of the grass. Not just his coat even, it was his skin and hair that also set him off like a beacon. Ceres found herself walking towards him the second she noticed what he had, a BOOK! Maybe he knew where the library was!
"Hey can you point me in the direction of the librar-." Then she spotted it, a comic book. Eyes growing wide, she stared at it like a cat to cream. She fought the urge to snatch it out just to see what it was exactly.
"...What edition is that?" Patience patience, it was one of her greater virtues after all!

Bix jumped when the voice came out of nowhere. He slammed the textbook shut, in the paranoid chance it was some division leader peering over his shoulder. Instead he found... a really excited looking girl. Was every girl on this island good looking?!
"Umm.." He turned pink, a constant wasy read of his emotions. "It's actually a new issue. I got it last weekend." Weekend leave was an awesome thing.
The albino scratched his head and looked to be contemplating for a moment. "You like comics?"

"New?" THAT caused her to frown, and think about that for a moment. How the hell did he get a new book on this island? Smuggling? ...Probably. Fortunately for Bix, she too was like, ironically, reading an open book. Emotions went visibly across her face as she pondered that, and then it was her turn to turn a little red at the question.
"Well, YEAH who doesn't?" Ceres couldn't fathom why someone would not enjoy comics, they were fun to read! She did not have a huge collection to choose from once upon a time ago so her knowledge was limited, but what she did know was she liked them! She liked reading those books called 'manga' too when she had the chance.
Moving in a little closer, she made a pointing motion at the book. "..Can i see? How did you get it in?" Of course she meant on Deus grounds.

"I just.. went and bought it." Bix shrugged and sat up. He was wearing a Green Arrow t-shirt under his coat. The Sun hunter pulledthe comic free of the book and offered it to her. It seemed to be the newest DC universe's Green Lantern. "New 52 is a bunch of crap. They made my favorite Green Lantern into a young gay guy.. which isn't bad cause he's gay.. but why couldn't he stay OLD?"
Yeah he just launched into that.
"Some people don't read comics. A lot of people actually." Bix looked the girl over a moment. She didn't seem too bitchy initially. "You want directions still.. or...?"
In his head his weapon hissed at him. "Oh.. I'm Bix by the way. I don't think I've seen you around much...?" Her face looked vaguely familiar.

This concept made her frown. He just...went and BOUGHT it? "I was told they were strict about what we brought here." Which was why she was so struck with this concept of buying things and just waltzing through the door with them. Sudden mental image involved leostrutting...
Taking the comic she flipped through a few pages, looking down at it briefly before responding. "So if he was a old gay guy you would have been more content?" Valid question she thought!
"Admittedly i haven't had a chance to get my hands on a variety of comics, but i have read... some?" She was for-sure not going to be able to keep up on a conversation about comics, but she was enjoying the fact he seemed to be interested in things she was! Someone normal? GASP.
"Ceres." SHe offered the name back." ... and. Well." Now it was her turn to be really red, again. Both a mix of embarrassment and anger on her part. She really did not want to talk about being stuck in a pod for months to a total stranger did she?
"...Long story. Directions would be nice?" Skip the question maybe he would let it go...maybe? She hated lying.

"Well they are strict about what you bring but.." He tilted his head. "Well I mean we are allowed to have weekend leave and stuff." Long story? Had she been off island? "Did they have you on a mission or something? Yeah we all get paid and are allowed to portal out for shopping and stuff."
He watched her, scratching his pale head. "Yeah if he was old and gay that would be fine. I mean he fought in WWI, his kids all died, he hangs with all other old guy super heros. Gay isn't too much of a stretch..." Yes. He'd thought about this thoroughly. He didn't want to seem like a homophobe or something!
"Ceres.. cool name. Wasn't there like a Sailor Moon Ceres girl?" One of his exgirlfriends had every single manga. Maybe he read them once? Or twice? Or... just oggled the cool art sometimes.
"Library is over there but uhh.." comic book friend comic book friend, the mantra ran over and over in his head. Someone to stuff with comics! ".. I have all kinds of comics. Plus I did bring some with me from home when I came here. Decided against a few pairs of shoes and brought books instead." He grinned, awkward as he tested the level of her coolness. Would the mocking commence?

"Noottt exactly." Back to looking rather sheepish she bit her lip looking away. YEAH she was hiding something, her face said it all.
Though...with the mention of sailor moon, she perked up and looked back at Bix. Now THAT was a conversation she knew of! Plus it changed the topic. "One of the Amazon Quartet... but im glad i dont have pink hair." She would not have liked that, pink. Ick. "Loath that color." Ceres was not girly in that aspect at least!
Looking back towards the library, oh there it is, Ceres found herself flicking her eyes back and forth. Bix, Library. Comic books, ACTUAL work. Fun, noottt so fun.
She went with fun.
"Sounds like YOU have the real library then." Nerdy friend? Actually didnt pack more shoes to bring more comics? Knows of green lantern AND sailor moon? What the heck else did he know? "...That is if you don't mind?" Yeah she was pushing towards it, but she was one to go for what she wanted.

"You should do your hair like her though.. heh.. that would be awesome." Bix was actually good with hair, if his own looong white braid (perfectly smooth and straight) wasn't clue enough. "You should try it. For shits and giggles." Suddenly the girl (who was so lying about where she'd been) seemed unsure of her next move. Her eyes darted back and forth, but inevitably she made the right decision. Oh yes. Nerd friend. His uneasiness and slight embarrassment seemed to melt away, he got a sly look on his face and hopped up with his books clutched in hand. "Come into my parlor.. said the spider to the fly." He was making a stupidly poor villain face. Or was he trying to look swarthy? Whatever it was he looked constipated.

All that greeted that idea was a stupid look of her own back at him. "If you fix your hair up at one of the other then, then maybe.. MAYBE i would consider it." She only made the offer because she thought, albeit hoped, he would never put his hair up that way. "Besides my hair is in no way long enough. Currently it was pulled back in a clipped up ponytail, the way she usually wore it. When down it reached her middle to lower back area. Biting her lip once again, this time it was more to stop herself from busting out laughing. Instead she quoted another stanza from that poem. "Thank you kindly, spider, the simple fly replied." Though her words were choked out and clearly failing at keeping the laughter out of her voice. "C'mon spider, lets see this collection of yours."

"Hey.. I have pretty good hair. You'd be surprised. You think it's gets this nice without extra special care? You make me a good bargain.. and before you know it we're both sailor scounts" Bix flipped his braid around his neck like a scarf.
"Walk this way.." He swaggered towards the building. Of course this was a Young Frankenstein reference, by the slight accent he used, but maybe it was just another nerd test for the other hunter.
Bix hopped onto the foot path and motioned for her to follow. "So.. seriously.. where have you been?" He gave her a playful expression.

"Getting YOU in a mini skirt, it might be worth it." Oh yeah she was full out laughing now, shaking her head back and forth at the idea. Him in a sailor costume? Rediiiiiculous! Yeah,and from that walk, the hair flip, and the jokes? Ceres was SO putting this guy in the 'gay' category. Not to mention he was talking about dressing in drag... Just met him, but her 'gaydar' was pinging slightly. Even though she did not really HAVE one.
"You know that doesn't work without the cane." She smiled back at him, shaking her head again.
Following behind she chose to walk normally, pausing only for a moment to think this over. You know, she SHOULD feel odd about just meeting this sun hunter and immediately going to his bedroom, right? For some reason that should feel wrong. But hey, it was just one nerd to another, and he was still so in her 'gay friend' slot for now. What could go wrong?
THEN it was back to the awkward. Looking down she fell in line next to him, and watched the pavement as they went. "Reeaaalllyyy don't want to talk about it right now."

"Alright alright. I can respect that." Bix smirked when she finally spoke some truth. He'd find out eventually but at this point he only wanted to know because she was so keen not to share.
Bix's nancing stopped and he hopefully seemed less.... gay. He wasn't particularly stylish and appearance wise the neatest part of him was his perfect hair.
"Listen, once you have gotten stuck in a female golem more than a few times, wearing a fuku is not a big deal." He politely held the door to the dorms open for Ceres.

"But thats also just a golum, wouldn't it feel different wearing it actually? Wonder if youd be as graceful in heels on this side hm?" She was glad for the topic shift at least. She let go of a breath she had been holding on to though, and let herself visibly relax. If he insisted on pushing the issue on why she was gone for so long she might have walked away. She really really was not up to it right now, so she was content that he let it go.
Huh, a gentleman even. She noted and walked in first, waiting for him just beside the door. Why were all the decent ones gay? Geeze. "Which number is yours?"

"I was in this girl yeti once.. I had a kimono and makeup and everything." He gave her a sage nod. "Cept.. chinese version of a kimono. Whatever those are called. It was pretty funny."
The dorm hall was normal as always except for the mass amount of work being done because of the Insanity. He was one of the lucky ones whose things were left pristine.
"I'll give you one guess." Door.. door.. door.. door with a white piece of paper that said 'BIX' on it. He'd put it up the first day he moved in and it was wrinkled and battered and even burnt a little but it was still there. "Voilaaaa.."
The albino opened his door to a very neat, perfectly clean dorm room. His pristinely made bed was pushed into a corner leaving a lot of floor space. His desk had perfectly stacked books, his bookshelves organized largest to smallest. OCD maybe just a little?
On one wall there was a 'Women of DC' poster with all the female heros and villains in scanty outfits and exaggerated dimensions. There was a blue and white paper lantern over his dresser and a full set of Lord of the Rings action figures on the back of his desk.
Oh yeah and the bookshelf full of comics.
