Daa'kara was feeling restless. He was trying to come to a decision, a decision on what he should do that day. Still being relatively young, despite his size, he wasn't weighed down with a great many duties at the moment. And so, he had been pacing around the forest's edge for most of the morning, thinking hard about what it was he wanted to do that day, coming up with ideas, thinking about them, and then tossing them aside one by one. He had always had the tendency to over think, and could be at it for hours on end if no one snapped him out of it. But this had yet to happen on this particular morning.

User Image Luna was trying to move on from the past and forget about her failure as a parent. The sun had risen and it looked like it was going to be a beautiful day. She grazed on some berries and sniffed the flowers. She decided to shrink down and flutter around smelling the flowers and maybe taking a bit of nectar as she went along.

After a little while she found herself watching a curious stallion pacing at the forests edge. She flew over to him and then morphed back to her regular size right in front of him. "Hello I'm Luna. It's a beautiful morning isn't it?" She asked the stallion expectantly.

Daa'kara was startled when the mare suddenly appeared in front of him. Quickly taking in her appearance, he recognized her as a flutter... and was that a unicorn horn? He'd heard about them before, and at least knew that they could change size... She was rather pretty to. He should try and make a good impression.
"Why hello! I'm Daa'kara," he looked to the sky and around him. He hadn't really thought about it yet, but it was rather nice at the moment. "Yes, it is rather nice out."

Luna let out a small laugh at the stallions started reaction. She could tell right away that she liked this male. Though she had a tendency to like everyone she met at first. "Hi Dakara, what are you doing on such a fine morning?" She asked saying his name incorrectly.

She took in his appearance. She thought his wings looked a bit funny. She also cocked her head and got in a little closer to inspect his dreads. Not minding how close she was getting to him.

She vaguely remembered meeting Soquili in her old homeland that had dreads and tusks. After looking at his hair she moved to his mouth. She didn't see any tusks but maybe they were real small. She waited patiently for him to talk again so she could look closer.

He'd heard her laugh and that gave his confidence a boost. Good. He wondered if he could do it again. "Oh, I was just trying to come to a decision about something." He'd been close to mentioning what he had been trying to decide, but then he figured it'd probably make him look dim. He left it that part out. "And it's Daa'kara," he corrected, pronouncing his name slowly so she'd say it properly.

As she stepped closer and looked him over he tensed for moment. 'She certainly isn't shy...' he thought. As her eyes settled on his mouth, he blinked in puzzlement, before he finally asked, "Why are ya staring at my mouth like that?"

When he spoke she looked closely but saw no tusks, and she felt a little disappointed. She then heard him repeat his name..."Daa' kara," she repeated slowly after him almost mindlessly. "Nice to meet you. I was just checking for tusks, but you don't have any."

She stepped back now so that she could see all of him again. He was a nice blue color with interesting markings. She decided blue was her new favorite color it had been brown awhile ago, but she decided brown was not as cool as blue.

All of sudden she turned her thoughts back to the stallion. "What were you trying to decide? Maybe I can help, unless it involves thinking. I'm not good with numbers." She stared at him waiting for a response.

Selladore had been trudging on her own for at least a week, having just come of age; too old now to follow her mother and father around. One hoof tiredly thudded in front of the other, not even caring which direction she was headed. She couldn't remember the last time she had water. It was only a day ago, but she was quite thirsty nonetheless. -Ugh, I'm so very lost... then again, can one be lost when they didn't know their destination in the first place?-

Her lazily philosophical train of thought continued, distracting her enough to not realize that she had trudged herself right into the middle of a clearing. She looked to the right... to the left... getting her bearings... then looked dead ahead and blushed. There were others here. And, she stumbled right up to them. And she hadn't met many people growing up so talking or interacting in any way wasn't her strong suit. In fact, she dreaded it. Frog nestled firmly in her throat, she let out an introductory "Um..."

Daa'kara tilted his head slightly. "Tusks? I wonder if Mum's tooth counts...." He quickly shook the thought away. He'd try and figure that out later.

And then he heard he ask what he'd been trying to decide. Uh oh. Cornered. He couldn't lie about it, so he looked down and kicked at the ground with his foot as he spoke. "I was trying to decide what I wanted to do today...."

He then heard another voice and lifted his eyes slightly. Another mare? He'd have considered this day lucky, if he hadn't felt so embarrassed at the moment. "Hello there."

Luna tilted her head in response to Dakaara's head tilt. "Oh tusks are like teeth but different," She said trying to sound smart.

She looked at him strangely when he said he was trying to figure out what to do. She had never spent time thinking about such things. She just let the day happen. "You think what to do..." She trailed off getting distracted by the new mare who wandered up to them. "Oh you are pretty and blue. Blue is my new favorite color you know?" She was excited to now have another blue Soq around. She thought to herself that today must be a lucky one.

"Hi, I'm Luna. Who are you?" she said this trying to be friendly as she approached the mare and sniffed her. She seemed nice enough.

Pooka found himself all alone again. Myst had gone off for her morning hunt which she liked to do alone. They seemed to rarely hunt together anymore. And now that she wasn't around she couldn't tell what he shouldn't do. She was always so serious and never seemed to like to have any fun. So he had to wait until she was gone before he could have any real fun in his day.

He started thinking about all the mischief he could cause today. Maybe he could find a foal to scare off and away into the deeper would away from it's family. That was always fun kept him occupied for a couple days sometimes.

Voices stirred him from his thoughts. Oh, sounds like we have something interesting up here, He thought to himself. Better make myself hidden to have a closer look. With that he wrapped his tail around his leg and slowly transformed as small as he could get. It was not the most pleasant sensation but it was useful for hiding. He slowly fluttered up laboring to get closer to the small group of Soquilli. He found a tree close enough to her what was being said. He used all his strength in his wings to fly up into one of the branches. From there he looked like a large butterfly or a small bird. Hopefully small enough to go unnoticed.

After listening in a bit he would try to work up some trouble for this bunch. They all looked like they needed something better to do.

Selladore swished her tail somewhat nervously, and was surprised by Luna's bluntness. "Pretty? I'm partially blue, yes, but pretty is such a subjective word and usually not one used so early in introductory conversation..." She shook her head as she noticed herself getting lost in rhetoric again. "My name is Selladore. It's nice to meet you."

Huh, this talking thing isn't so bad. As long as I can keep myself from going off on a tangent... Then she noticed the Stallion and that familiar frog leapt right back to her throat, and she felt the warmth of a blush cross her cheeks again. She hadn't yet spoken to a stallion before, as her parents were the reclusive type. "Might I ask for your name?" He is handsome... wow, those wings. They shimmer in the light! Wait... she has wings to. I appear to be the odd one out. Does everyone around here have wings...?

Her train of thought was interrupted by a shiver going down her spine. She felt as though something unlucky was about to happen. Could just be my lack of self-esteem though... I'm most probably fine.

Daa'kara got a strange feeling for a moment and was about to wonder what was going on, when he was distracted from this train of thought by Luna's voice. "Er, yes. I do that alot, actually." He was starting to think that it was a bit silly to do that, so perhaps he should think of a way to stop doing it.

He turned his head towards the new mare, who was apparently named Selladore. It seemed she had a horn, like his, except she had no wings and a tail that wasn't short, unlike his, but long and a bit fluffy. ....She was rather pretty to. Maybe this was his lucky day, afterall. "But you are pretty, Selladore," he said without thinking about it to much. "And my name is Daa'kara."

Luna stepped away from the mare to watch her speak. She was using words Luna had never heard before. She looked wide eyed at the mare half in confusion, half in awe. "Oh Selladore a pretty name too, and you are so smart." When Luna said that a thought struck her. "Oooh! Maybe you can help us figure out what Daa'kara should do today!" She said beaming at herself having an idea.

When Daa'kara said the new mare was pretty, Luna felt a little pang of jealousy. "I'm pretty too, right Daa'kara?" She asked slightly disheartened.

Pooka, couldn't believe how unusual this group seemed. The blue ones seemed a bit nervous, which was always made it easier to get a start out of them. The purple mare was just strange, seemed like a very dumb creature to him. But he was coming up with an idea as he sat watching. He had been practicing throwing his voice, but had yet to put it to use. He wished he could imitate voices better, but that would take more practice. He would try his best to imitate the stallions voice. A stallion with two mares could get himself in a lot of trouble.

Pooka, quietly cleared his throat and than said, imitating the stallion "You're ugly." He tried to get the right volume and tone to make it sound like it had come from the stallion in the group.

"Help me figure out what to do today?" He'd never had anyone help him think of such things. Though admittedly, he had never asked.

Daa'kara had just opened his mouth and was about to say, 'Well of course you're pretty to, Luna,' when he'd heard those two little words
"You're ugly." His first thought had been, 'What the...' which had been immediately followed by, 'FIX NOW!' Laughing a small laugh, he quickly said, "Yes, you're ugly like the ocean is ugly, which of course means you aren't ugly at all. Of course you are pretty, Luna!"
He finished the statement with a soft, if not nervous laugh, as he hoped and prayed to whatever spirits above that this would appease the fluttercorn mare, all while he tried to figure out what had happened. If he had been nervous before, it was nothing to how nervous he felt at that particular moment.
