 1000 HP Shaun perched on Slavo's back and watched the passing scenery as the Tropius plodded along, heading for nowhere in particular. For once Shaun was actually paying attention to their surroundings, keeping an eye out on the grassy landscape around them for any pokemon they might encounter. For a while now the only pokemon he'd seen was a couple Pidgey flying far in the distance, too far and fast for them to be able to get close enough for a good picture. Instead he saw a stream off in the distance. Well, pokemon were likely to gather near water sources, and they could use a good drink anyway. Salvo had already spotted the stream and Shaun only needed to point for his pokemon to head that way.

 1100HP Niji drank deeply from the stream. He was enjoying the peace and quiet when he heard a heavy, plodding pokemon coming closer. He peered suspiciously in the direction of the noise.

Thanks to a small rise in the ground, Salvo had nearly reached the stream before he spotted the pastel-colored pokemon at the bank. Then he paused, checking that his trainer had seen the pokemon.
Shaun had indeed seen the pokemon. What luck! It was particularly rare and uniquely colored! "An Eevee! And you're such a pretty one, too!" He promptly pulled out his best camera and snapped a picture.

Niji blinked and shook his head, annoyed by the way the light reflecting off the lens of the camera put spots in his vision. Deciding that strange clicking and flashing must have been some sort of failed attack, Niji retaliated.

Salvo was just turning back to look at the Eevee when he was blindsided by a volley of bright stars. He reeled back a little, then shook his head before looking tack at the Eevee. 'What was that for?' he asked, puzzled.
Shaun didn't understand why the pokemon had attacked, either. Maybe the pokemon was just grumpy? But no matter what the reason, it was not a good idea to be on a pokemon that was being attacked. In most cases he'd just leave a pokemon that attacked him without provocation, but he didn't want to miss a chance to photograph one so unique as this. He took several steps back and readied his camera. "Give it a chance to see we mean no harm. Safeguard," Shaun told his pokemon.
Salvo raised a shimmering shield around himself as he said, 'We didn't mean to bother you. My trainer just wants to get a few pictures, if he can.'

'I have no idea what "pictures" are, and you started it with the flashy lights, and you are too big to be safe, and I don't like you!' Niji said as he attacked again, obviously very worked up. This was the third time today a large pokemon had approached him, and both of the others had attacked him for being in their territory. Niji was tired of being chased off by big mean predators!

Salvo was again battered by the quick little stars. He glanced over at Shaun and gave a sort of shrug with his leaves, hoping to convey that this pokemon would not be reasoned with.
Shaun happily snapped pictures of the attacking Eevee, managing to get a good one of it firing off Swift. He noticed his pokemon's movement and shrugged back. "Well, if it wants a fight, we'll give it one. Leech Seed."
Salvo fired of a salvo of seeds at the smaller pokemon, waiting for them to take root.

Thankfully, the poisonous substance splashed harmlessly against the shimmering Safeguard shield. Salvo glanced at the substance as if it were mildly interesting, and Shaun loved the expression so much he snapped a picture of that, too. "OK, take it down a peg with Rock Smash," he told his pokemon.
The Tropius steped towards the Eevee, then lowered his head down to swing it like a baseball bat at the smaller pokemon.

Shaun chose not to get a picture of the Eevee being tossed back, but the growling-angry looking pose a moment later made a good shot. "Again. Hit it good," Shaun said.
Again the Tropius swung his head down to club at the Eevee.

Niji rose, shaking the dust from his fur. That had really hurt! Narrowing his eyes, Niji suddenly darted forward, between the Tropius' legs, and ran a tickling tail over the larger pokemon's sensitive belly.

Shaun saw the Eevee dart beneath his pokemon's belly and shouted, "Drop, now!"
Salvo had started to giggle at the feel of the fluffy tail, but at his trainer's call he threw himself to the ground, trying to stop the Eevee in its tracks.
