With her room shot full of holes, Katherine needed to remedy her little problem.

Now..having holes in her room didn't bother her--and she wouldn't care at all really if it wasn't for the following problems..

One: Bugs and other creatures were constantly crawling in and out of her room. If she had to share a room, she would rather share it with cats or other hunters. Not with pests that roamed the island.

Two: If it rained, which it did, her room would be completely flooded. Not something she wanted to deal with. The bugs were bad enough.

Three: It got bloody cold at night! She hated the cold! Could not stand the cold! With the holes, there was a constant draft of cold air in her room.

She couldn't stand it any longer!

No, she needed to patch up these holes, and soon! Even if it meant raiding other hunters rooms for supplies. Its not like she would be stealing really. Just..borrowing, and returning their things in..less perfect condition. Aw hell, she would just pay them back later if they complained. That was if they even found out.

Because the dorms were in such poor condition, it was possible people might not even notice a few things gone missing here and there. This could work to her advantage really!

So off she went to search for materials and objects to patch up her room. She wouldn't need much, just some necessary items to patch the holes, and catch whatever rain leaked into her room.

First, she would take extra or unused pillows, and other plush like items to stuff the holes. Then she would locate pots, cups and buckets. Of course, she would also need some cloths, and maybe old shirts even to mop up any mess on the floor. Bugs, water and dirt..not a pleasant thought.

Creeping into unlocked dorms, Kat peered in before entering to see if anyone was about. Last thing she needed was a pissed off hunter trying to kill her for breaking and entering. Well..entering. The door was already open, and the dorm was already broken. In any case--in she went!

Lucky for her, most of the hunters were off else where. Probably helping out where they were needed most. Because she had only recently woken up from the pods again, she had barely been called upon since. It gave her plenty of free time to tend to her room, as well as raid others.

:I can't believe your even considering doing this. I mean, really! Can't you just ask the other hunters if they can lend you some items?:

That would take too long. Not to mention, I'm not sure how many would be willing to lend or give me things. Besides..do you want me to have water all through my room? I know you would just love that.

:Ugh..just..do this quickly then!:

Snickering to herself, she began to creep about the room. Stuffing the needed items into a pillow case she had brought along, she then moved onto the next room. Luckily for the hunters who's dorm she raided, all the stuff she was taking was tattered and messy. No doubt, they would have been tossed out anyways. Lucky for her.

Her looting and raiding carried out through several rooms. She only took what she needed, and didn't grab anything of value. She was that kind of thief--well..maybe. She did blackmail Mark into giving him the coat off his back and she stole his goggles even. And his card key--which she still had back in her dorm somewhere. Yeah..she should probably return that later.

...

Yeah, later.

Noticing that her sack of stolen goods was becoming a little too heavy to bare, she though to head back to her own dorm and begin repairs. But now..how was she supposed to get by everyone in the halls? It would be a little hard to explain where she got all of these things. Especially if they caught her exiting some other dorm than her own.

:You know, it would help if you had thought this through earlier.:

Probably, but saying that now isn't going to be much help either, Xedis.

Maybe, she could say that she was just assigned to cleaning up garbage? That would work. After all, all the things she had collected were pretty much garbage anyways.

Okay, yes. That would do.

Hoisting the bag onto her shoulder, Kat peeked out into the hallway to make sure no one was about. Still no one in sight. "Lucky~" Stepping out into the hall, she carefully closed the door behind her, and strode back towards her own dorm.

She had encountered a few hunters along the way, but they mostly shrugged her off and continued on their way. Leaving her to make away with the 'borrowed' goods.

When finally back at her dorm, she let the bag drop to the ground with a thud and examined the room again. Yes..this would take a while..but with her supplies, it was do-able.

"Well..that was easy."
