DWMA Nurse's office for sick or injured students or staff.

Eric stumbled into the nurses office, holding his still bleeding wound. He was soaking wet and sat down on one of the infirmary beds. The nurse quietly came over and began examining the wound. Neither of them said anything as she undid the bandages and began to clean it out.

"Thanks" said Eric, smiling. "I'm sorry about all that." He wasn't sure what had happened to Dara after he had collapsed. "I...." He trailed off. "Some....people I know tried to....help me but it was better for me to go to the infirmary so I came here instead." He said, trying to not worry her by telling her everything that had just happened.

He was glad she was there. He was exhausted, emotionally and physically. "I guess I owe you an explanation," He said, looking at the ground.

"Oh yeah, that" Said Eric sadly. "That's a long story. I was talking about freezing up in the training room also." He said. He noticed the scratch on her arm. He grabbed her arm gently and held it up to examine the wound. "Where did you get this?" He asked, worried. "Was it at the training room? Nurse!" He called. "Can you take care of her first? I'll be alright for now."

Eric shook his head. "I deserve that," He said. "I was the one who froze up. You were incredible out there." He said, smiling at her. "Your resonance force is off the charts. I haven't had a Weapon that powerful since....." He trailed off. He took off his sopping wet shirt and jacket. A small but deep scar ran across his chest, ending several inches away from his heart. His back was criss-crossed with scars of all sizes.

He watched as the nurse began tending to her wound, then he lay down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling, his mind full of thoughts.

"The little kinks..." repeated Eric softly. "Dara," He said, looking over at her. "Have you ever been to the South-Eastern Territories? You know, the ones way outside Lord Death's influence? The really slummy parts I mean, not the rural areas."

Outside it was dark and the rain beat heavily on the window. The nurse continued working quietly. The room was mostly bleach white with medical equipment laid out everywhere. It was cool in the room and Eric shivered in his wet clothes.

Eric took the towel appreciatively and began rubbing his head with it, attempting to dry out his hair. "I'm just.....I'm from there." He said. "And I didn't know if you knew....the type of things that happen there." He didn't look at her as he spoke, wiping himself down with the towel, doing his best to dry off.

Thunder rumbled in the distance as the rain picked up. The nurse had almost finished patching up the wound. He finally looked at her. "And the type of people who are there."

Eric placed a comforting arm on her shoulder. "You okay?" He asked. "Anyway, it's not as simple as what your parents probably ran into. I mean, maybe I don't know."

He sighed as he turned to face her fully. "Before I came here I...ah....worked for an organization that umm.....involved a lot of killing. I killed a lot of people. People who weren't on Death's list. He knows about it already, and accepted me anyway because it wasn't exactly my choice but....I think you should know that before we go any further as a team. I was the kind of person your parents probably would have killed if they ran into on one of their missions back then.....if you want to find a new meister I understand, don't worry. But can you keep what I told you a secret?"
