Contrary to the title, this will indeed be a high school roleplay, but I feel like if I tried to open it to the whole guild it would not do well. So yes, this will be a one on one roleplay, and I do very much hope it will not contain smut, because anyone who resorts to roleplaying that is childish beyond limits.

I don't really like to think of a cover story, so it will just be a normal high school, so weird supernatural things will not a part of this. Please private message your profiiles to me, so that the actual roleplay will not blow up with odd profiles; thank you. Title the private message as your favorite color and 'cheese'. Quite stupid, I know, but it is the best way I can be sure you actually read this. I will be a male in this roleplay, so you can be either a female or male, it doesn't matter much; since there will be no smut/love.

I just need to have something keep me occupied during the summer, it is quite boring.

~Characters~

Username- Xx-Samu Kimi-xX
Name- Dex Malone
Age- 17
Appearance- User Image
Biography- Dex is a very shy person, he's a senior in high school, a few more months and he'll be out of the state; out of the country. He dreams of traveling to Germany, where his grandparents are from. They died when Dex was young and he never got the chance to visit, even though his father talked about going many times. Dex never wants for anything, he's a very simple child. He could live in harsh conditions, even though he had never been forced to. His mother died giving birth to Dex, so he never knew the love a mother could give him, even his father's new wife never gave Dex the love and attention expecting of her to give. His pet hedgehog, Azazel, is his usual companion when he is alone in his home; Dex does not like to have many friends. He has a few close ones, but they do not tamper in his life, he has asked them not to.
Anything Else?- He usually takes Azazel, his hedgehog, with him to school.

Username- Masten December
Name- Mordecai Vates
Age- 18
Appearance- User Image
Biography- Mordecai is a quiet, somewhat distant young man. Outsiders would describe him as troubled; people who know him might call him bitchy; people who really know him would call him misunderstood. He certainly is a snarky young man when he finally opens his mouth. His few close friends know that this is because his past has caused him to be quite cynical and a little bit bitter: unloving parents too concerned with money, no other nuclear family, an incredibly isolated childhood. Mordecai may not have known death as a tragedy, but he has known poverty, and loneliness, and these have been enough to warp his mind.
Anything Else?- His hair is naturally pink. :3

Looking out the window of his home, Dex already knew that the day was going to be an interesting one. Like some people could tell if it was going to rain, or if their crush liked them; Dex could tell the mood of one's day, if it was going to suck, or if it was going to 'rock'. Might as well get going then.

Picking up Azazel, his hedghog, and putting him into his jacket pocket, Dex was already ready for the school day, up since before the sun rose. He could not remember if he was supposed to go wake his friend next door, or if he was skipping today. Thinking he might as well, he started to head towards his friend's window, where he persistently knocked until one angry man threw it open and glared at Dex. "What the hell, man? I told you I was skipping today." Dex grinned like a fiend, his friend already looking like he wanted to punch him. "I apologize, but you might as well go; you're already up."

His friend was already ahead of him, getting dressed in the corner of his room. As he was putting on a shirt, one of his scars was visible, it was one that happened when they were kids. His friend fell off his bike onto a jagged rock, and it completely sliced his back open. Without even bothering to tell his mother that he was leaving, his friend, Liam, climbed through the window, and they both started walking towards the school.

Liam had tried to talk with him, but just ended up listening to music. Dex had been thinking of ways that the day could be interesting, not much happened at the school there.

Mordecai had no interest in how today was going to supposedly turn out. It would be dull and full of annoyances, like the day before, and the day before, and he had accepted that a long time ago. The pink-haired youth gazed out the window as he dressed, holding in a sigh. Pants zipped, shirt buttoned -- Mordecai shouldered his bag and exited his room quietly. As he stepped past the foyer and out the front door, his mother, who was sipping black coffee and reading the paper, ignored him, and he ignored her.

Thus began yet another bland, uneventful day.

Mordecai's thoughts drifted around as he walked among the fallen leaves, focusing on nothing in particular, and he nearly made it to school in peace. Then, his vision caught a head of blue hair turning a corner far down the road.

Oh, fantastic. It was that... kid. Dex. He'd never bothered with last names, and especially not with this boy. To date, Dex was the only person that had actually gotten him to shout in anger. The only one to force him to give any outward signs of distress, in fact.

Mordecai and Dex did not get along. They both stood out, because of their odd personas and even odder hair colors, and thus this was a fact that everyone knew.

And, at the current pace that Dex and his little friend were walking, they'd reach the street the two of them as well as Mordecai needed to turn onto to get to school. Well, that simply wouldn't do. Mordecai sped up his walking a hair, careful not to make it obvious that he'd noticed the other boy.

Don't see me. Just ignore me.

As soon as Dex thought that the day might not get interesting on the way to the actual school, he caught sight of pink hair. No one else in the entire state had that shade of pink for hair. Dex frowned, and he nudged Liam in the shoulder to gesture to where he was looking. Liam snickered, obviously getting what Dex meant, and he could see the wheels turning in Liam's brain; he wasn't exactly bright.

Mordecai was the worst guy ever to have to walk on the same street with. Not that he himself was a bad guy, but he and Dex never got along, as long as they knew eachother. At first, people had enjoyed pairing the two for their odd colored hair, now they paired the two for their rivalry in life. There wasn't a very specific reason why the two of them were enemies, they just were.

Mordecai was so bland, he never shouted, never got angry; except one time Dex had said something; he couldn't even remember what it was. But Mordecai had absolutely no emotions, and he was sort of rude, too. Dex enjoyed at least getting emotion from people, which was why it ticked him off that Mordecai had none.

Dex certainly wasn't going to call the guy out, if that was what he was avoiding, it looked like he increased his pace just to avoid Liam and him. Dex intentionally slowed his pace, Liam already following with it. Azazel peeked out of his jacket pocket to gaze at the world; but quickly shoved back in when he heard a cat meow; causing Dex to snicker.

Mordecai stiffened ever so slightly as he observed Dex look directly at him, and then nudge his friend. His hackles rose. He'd accepted that today was not going to be fantastic, yes; however, he wasn't quite in the mood for a confrontation so early.

Luckily, it seemed that Dex had had the same idea as him. He and his friend appeared to be slowing their pace. Mordecai hurried towards the school, becoming agitated at the very thought of his blue-haired rival and attempting to calm himself down.

Then, he paused.

Dex had slowed down his walking... which meant that he didn't want to get into a fight, either. Well. Dex and Mordecai, among other things, were known to never agree. The pinkette smirked to himself in a rare display of feeling, and lingered at the school gate.

Soon enough, Dex and his friend came meandering up. Mordecai stared at the other boy, saying nothing, until he'd caught his attention. Then, he looked Dex right in the eye.

"Funny, I thought they had pulled all the idiots out of the school so that they'd stop bringing down the graduation rate. You must have slipped through somehow." Mordecai's face was completely straight until he curled his lip at the other boy. Giving Dex no time to respond, he swept through the gate, pink hair fluttering behind him.

Dex had thought that Mordecai had already gone into the school, until he saw the whisper of pink hair again, standing right outside the gate. After saying a somewhat sly comment of Dex being stupid; another tac to put on him being rude, Mordecai rushed into the school. The comment certainly didn't bother Dex; what really made him smirk was the fact that he got a reaction out of Mordecai; which was the only thing Dex cared about.

Liam looked at him then, and seeing that it didn't effect Dex, said goodbye and went to go gather his books for the day. Liam long since stopped asking if Dex would see him to his locker, that just wasn't something he did. Dex soon realized he was simply standing in the middle of the hallway, people going out of their way to go around him. If the weird hair didn't put him at a disadvantage, his cool personality did, making Dex one to be less approachable than the usual senior guy.

Dex did not enjoy friends though, they were a part of life that he didn't have time for. Friends slowed people down, Dex just needed Azazel, and he was fine. Walking to his first period class, he felt his hedgehog shuffling in his pocket, probably wanting to get comfortable before the class started. His first period class was on the first floor, no stairs to climb, a relief. Once he settled into his seat for the class, he started to again wonder what might cause the day to be interesting; nothing out of the ordinary so far.

The ordinary was probably going to dry up now though, since most of every class Dex had was with Mordecai, an odd set-up that even Dex had no explanation for. At least in this particular class they were not very close to eachother, where in a few they were forced to sit at the same tables.

Mordecai was slightly put out when Dex showed no noticeable reaction to his taunt; then again, it hadn't been a particularly strong one. More to maintain appearances than anything, really.

Mordecai had no need to stop at a locker, and no desire to find any so-called friends, and therefore made a beeline for his first period. English, it was, and therefore not exactly worth his attention. He wasn't seated particularly close to Dex, either, at least not enough to bother. Mordecai propped his chin in one thin, pale hand, passively watching his peers file into the classroom.

A dark-haired youth sunk into the seat next to him and almost immediately leaned forward conspiratorially. "Mordecai," he began in an undertone. "I heard Kevin got arrested last night."

Mordecai's eyes flickered towards the other boy.
"Good morning to you, too, Tyler," he replied flatly. The other boy just shook his head. "Don't you care, dude?"

"It was probably his own fault. Wasn't it?" He fixed his companion with a blank stare. Tyler fidgeted for a moment, clearly uncomfortable, then conceded. "Yeah... I mean, sure it was. But man, you're just stone cold, aren't you?"

Mordecai gave the other boy a small smile, more to tease him than anything, and turned his attention back to the front of the room just in time to see Dex walk in.

Dex smirked slightly as one of the youth punks in the class started to talk to Mordecai; but it quickly turned to a frown as he realized that in order to notice that, he would've had to have been looking in Mordecai's general area of location. He, in turn, had almost no one to talk to in this particular class, a particularly feeble attempt for Dex to maintain peace. Talking to people in classes disrupted his thinking, and disrupting his thinking led to not paying attention in the slightest.

Dex took extremely great care to pay attention in his classes, if he did not, his parents would actual try to give a damn about his life, to tell him he needed to improve his grades. He did not feel like having his parents notice him right at that very moment, things were going pretty well. If his parents were to step into the picture, they'd have him belted and chained to his computer desk at home, and wouldn't let him set foot out of the house. To improve the matters, Dex thought he heard the words 'Parent-Teacher Conferences' come out of the idiotic mouth of the professor, and that was a serious no-no.

Almost directly after, the professor started to announce the beginning of group projects; worth eighty percent of their grade for the year; which was completely preposterous. Not only group projects, but the class was not allowed to choose their partners, the teacher would be doing so. A cold chill ran through Dex as he envisioned him having to work with Mordecai on anything ever.

There was a gleam in the professor's eye that Mordecai instantly disliked. He relaxed somewhat as the professor began lecturing on the importance of grades and parental involvement; he had both of those categories covered. The pink-haired boy had almost began to zone out when the prof made his big reveal.

"Group projects!" He beamed at the class. Mordecai felt like snarling back but didn't even twitch. "Well, more like paired projects, actually. And no, you don't get to pick your partners." Much of the class groaned, and the professor put up his hands. Mordecai couldn't help it; his eyes flicked towards Dex.

"I'm not going to try to make you miserable."
Not directly, at least, Mordecai thought to himself. "I've put everyone's names in a hat, so it's nice and fair." Unlikely, that.

So, the prof began calling off names, and the list of people that weren't Dex shrunk at an alarming rate. Tyler shot Mordecai a sympathetic look as he was paired with a plain-looking girl. The pinkette stared blankly at the professor.

"Dexter... your partner is Mordecai!"

Mordecai locked gazes with the blue-haired boy and absolutely did not frown.

Instead, he stood, gathering his belongings with ease, and made his way around the desks to occupy the one nearest his enemy. The professor, having paired up all of their peers, began to go over the specifications for the project, but Mordecai was hardly listening.

"So. This can be easy, or this can be quite difficult."

As the blood left Dex's face a tiny bit each time there was a set of partners that consisted of neither him nor Mordecai, he could clearly see where the situation was headed towards. Finally, the teacher called his name, and the guy that Dex never wanted to be in close quarters with, ever, as partners.

His eyes slightly shifted to the side to glance at Mordecai, neither of their expressions showing any emotion at all. Since Dex did not talk to people, he never sat next to anyone, so when Mordecai walked over to sit beside him, he took the desk right next to Dex.

The pink-haired kid's snarky comment made him bristle, but it did not show on his face as he took notes down on what the project requirements. He could hardly stop paying attention at that moment, being paired up with this guy, who looked like he wasn't even listening to what the professor was saying. "For eighty percent of our grade, you bet your a** it'll be easy." Dex barely glanced up from the paper as he jotted down the last of the requirements, as the teacher set them off to discuss their topics. Since the class was indeed english, they were supposed to read books from a list and write a series of essays about them. Not too hard, except for the fact that Dex was supposed to work with the rudest person in the school.

Mordecai, content in the knowledge that Dex was busily scribing down everything that the professor said, closed his eyes for a moment. Anyone who had ever wondered whether his pink hair was natural could have their question answered if they only looked close enough; even the boy's eyelashes were pink.

Mordecai allowed his mind to wander to Dex. He realized that for the two of them to succeed at this project, they would have to, regretfully, work together. Perhaps if it had been a smaller portion of their grade, Mordecai would have considered intentionally fudging up the project -- he currently had over one hundred percent in the class, after all -- but even his impeccable scores couldn't suffer a failing grade as 80 percent of the overall. Mordecai sighed through his nose, a small frown gracing his features. His eyes flashed open.

"So, big boy. What exactly do we need to do?" Mordecai fixed Dex with a blank, almost accusatory stare. If he had to work with the boy, at least he could ensure that the other would be as uncomfortable as possible the entire time.

Everything that the guy said was complete rudeness. Dex bristled again, but not wanting to start an arguement, especially with Mordecai, he never faltered with the stone cut expression of boredom on his face. Dex could surely wait to see how the two of them would end up working together, the very thought of inviting the pink haired guy over to his house was completely ridiculous.

"First of all, don't mock me with crude names." the icy tone beneath Dex's voice had always made anyone around him uncomfortable. That very fact was the reason he was using it on Mordecai, he could tell the pink haired guy just wanted to dull the situation with his oh-so-bright personality. Dex then started to list off the bullets the teacher had written on the board, and he wished that he didn't have to waste his breath when the rude guy could've been taking notes, making this entire conversation appear moot.

Mordecai's stone facade was nearly broken as he held down a snicker. "Crude names? You are a boy, and you may or may not be big." He allowed himself a smirk. "If anything if was a muted compliment."

He gazed out the window as Dex listed the requirements -- this time, he was listening, but he knew a pretense of not paying attention would anger the other boy. When the other finished, he sighed, rolling his neck, then flashed pale pink eyes towards Dex.

"I suppose this means we are going to have to invite each other into one another's homes." The distaste was practically tangible; it rolled off his tongue in waves.
