With her exam over and most loose ends tied up Sin was eager to get back to her classes and catch up. She didn't dare let her mind wander to other matters...the things she had missed...Ril-no! No she couldn't think about it right now, not in public. She took a deep breath and looked down at her planner, okay there were lots of classes she had to take.

She glanced up and around the demon common room noticing it was virtually empty. So much for coming downstairs and being social with her own kind. Her own kind...she'd had plenty of proper demons to interact with a few months ago, but their attitudes had put her off. They pitied her for having undead friends? Well she pitied them for being so...close minded...just like...just like she had been. She sighed and rubbed her temples, okay time to focus.

She looked back at the list of classes, lots of new professors it seemed. Oh Cricket was still teaching first aid...she would probably need to take that.

Ah, the smell of freshly pressed clothes was enough to put a spring in any demon's step. It had been awhile since Riyo wore her old coat and top hat out and about, but today seemed appropriate. Maybe today, instead of eating at a greasy burger joint, she'd go sit down in a restaurant and listen to people talk about trivial bullshit. It was the demon way, after all. Eating expensive food, wearing expensive clothes, and making yourself seem more important than you really were. Oh yes, She knew the game well.

The sound of heels echoing down the stairs alerted anyone who cared to hear that someone was getting closer. A rather formal-clad feline appeared in the common room with hands tucked in her pockets and eyes on the ceiling above.

Just as she was about to head out the exit, a ding from her pockets caused the ghoul's ears to stand on end. Skreemail? Skreemail.

Retrieving her precious eyephone (that she had already broken four times this year), Riyo began reading the screen and heading back towards one of the seats in the common room, never really realizing that she wasn't alone.

Sin blinked and lifted her head pulled out of her intense focus by the sound of a 'ding' and the sight of another demon. She flicked back a strand of pink hair and leaned forward to give her wings a little stretch. The other ghoul looked a bit...occpied. Still Sin cleared her throat slightly and decided to at least introduce herself since she didn't look familiar.

"Hello there." She would have stood and offered her hand and name, but she still wasn't sure if the other demon wanted company. Her stomach gave a slight squeeze, a reminder that it was almost lunch time. Hmm floresce sushi sounded good, or maybe a nice well dressed salad.

The sound of someone clearing their throat made Riyo finally look up with a raised eyebrow. What was it with people always wanting to talk? Who was this?

Straightening up in her chair, the bakeneko's tail curled up on the seat next to her, anxiously swaying around now that there was someone else being acknowledged. "Uh. Hi?" Was all she could really muster. She'd come a long way since joining Amityville's ranks, but she still couldn't pretend to give a s**t about someone she didn't know.

With that out of the way, the ghoul went right back to her eyephone, tapping furiously at the screen with her thumbs to send out a reply. At least this ghoul didn't seem like another Charlie.

Sin couldn't recall ever being so simply dismissed from anyone's mind when she had made an introduction. It was a bit startling then to have this demon simply say hi and then turn right back to her phone as if Sin were non-existent. She felt odd, the sensation of being ignored or neglected was new to her. Maybe the other ghoul just didn't realize that Sin had meant to offer an introduction. Any thoughts of the other ghoul just wanting to be left alone were quickly leaving Sin's mind. No one came and sat down in the common room just to be left alone, well unless they were studying, but even then they usually enjoyed some company.

She stood and walked over to stand in front of the ghoul and slowly extended her hand. A proper introduction was obviously all that was needed to make her understand. Sin was trying not to be snobby anymore, she didn't want to judge other demons...well maybe she still did a little, but she was trying!

"What I meant was, Hello I'm Sin Err, I haven't seen you around before and wanted to introduce myself. It's always good to know ones fellow students after all don't you think?"

Riyo only looked back up when she found a shadow looming over her. What was this bullshit? The ghoul's brow furrowed as she was 'formally introduced' to one Sin Err. "Do you introduce yourself to every minipet you see as well, Miss Err?" The eyephone clicked as it was turned off and placed back in the cat demon's pocket.

"And honestly, no. I really don't think so. In fact, if I could un-meet some of the people I've had to put up with here, I would do it in a heartbeat." Sin's hand remained untouched as Riyo stared up at her with a matter-of-fact look. If this was a business deal, the feline would've stood, given the hand a dainty shake, and said 'good to ********' meet you.' But this was something casual. Riyo had no obligation to be nice, therefore she wouldn't be. "I'm Riyo, by the way. No last name necessary." Or rather, she didn't like giving it out.

Oh, so she really didn't want company, well! Sin was fairly certain that this particular situation was completely foreign to her, had anyone ever been so dismissive of her? Well some of the professors maybe, but this wasn't a professor it was a fellow student, a fellow demon! She slowly lowered her hand and crossed her arms to hold back the urge to fire a retort. Nice Sin, you are trying to be nice...even when it's hard.

"Minipets no, but it is generally a good idea to know ones fellow demons. I hadn't realized that anyone came to the common room in search of solitude, you must have a rather inhospitable dorm room."

Riyo, so she did have a name, at least Sin had that much...now she knew who's oh so pleasant company to avoid.

"My it sounds like you've had some rather sorry experiences during your time here if you regret so much of the company you've had to keep. I am sorry for intruding...I had hoped to invite you to lunch since I was in the mood for a little floresce sushi and some company, but I can see you're...occupied." She glanced at the eyephone then shrugged ad turned.

"You haven't met Titus yet." Was all Riyo had to say about enjoying a fellow demon's company, a smirk forming in the corners of her lips.

Until Sin suggested her room was a dump, that is. Nevermind the fact that it was pretty trashed at the moment. She was still working on it after the whole nervous breakdown thing. "Or! Or... I stopped to read a skreemail. That could be it. Just.. Throwing out suggestions." The sarcasm was almost overwhelming. "I like to give my full attention when reading something." Lest she walked into a fountain or something equally embarrassing.

Crossing her leg, the ghoul propped her head up with her hand on the seat's arm. "Yeah. Sorry experiences, and my insufferable attitude." At least she wasn't denying it. She did it on purpose after all.

Though when fish was mentioned, the tone of the whole interaction changed. Specifically the sound of her stomach growling. "Ah. Well then. I suppose all this depends on how much you want company." Fish fish fish fish fish...

Oh boy, Sin considered for a moment just leaving the other demon to her own devices she was rude, sarcastic, and snarky. Yet, a part of her wanted to hold her ground, just to prove she could take whatever Riyo dished out. Nothing could be worse then the pitying looks and whispers of other demons when she had attended the Demon Academy. Riyo was a little rough around the edges, but she oddly reminded her of Rosc's gruff personality.

She felt the corner of her mouth twitch in a half smirk. "Titus? No I can't say I have, but I'll take your experience in mind if I ever do cross his path."

The urge to bait her rose and Sin casually cocked her hip and flicked back a strand of hair. "Oh of course, I know sometimes walking can be a challenge that requires ones full attention..." She grinned and then noticed the other ghouls stomach was...growling.

She blushed when she felt her own stomach give a tiny gurgle in response. "Well...it looks like we don't need to enjoy one an others company so much as we need to enjoy some lunch. You're free to join me of course...I can prove to you that demon company isn't as awful as past experience would make you believe."

Oh, oh ouch. She did the hair flick and followed it up with a nasty comment. Riyo could feel her ghoul hormones screaming for revenge, but what the hell could she do? It looked like the demonic stranger had won this round. "Touche." Did this make the cat demon a gracious loser? Oh ******** no. It just meant this bout would eventually have a round 2.

And how did this ghoul still want to be around her? Maybe she'd caught on to the subliminal challenge laid out to anyone who dared interact with Riyo? Or maybe she was just bored. Either way, why not make today an interesting experience. At least their stomachs could talk civilly. "Well. I was about to go get lunch anyways." Though she had fully intended to go somewhere else, sushi sounded so great right now. It was probably still an uppity joint with loads of obnoxious people. "Moreover I'd like to see you try and prove to me what you think I've been missing out on." Challenge accepted. Time to watch someone else make fools of themselves. Without missing a beat, the feline stood, adjusted her hat to perfectly balanced stance, and filed in next to her temporary lunch date. "Do please lead the way."

Well now, it seemed that whatever curiosity Sin had felt towards Riyo was being reciprocated. She tried not to look surprised when the other demon agreed to join her. She smiled and turned to lead the way out fully determined to be as pleasant as possible.

When they arrived at a small sushi bar the sign was bright orange with a skeletal fish and the words 'BAD SUSHI' in bold letters. One had to wonder if the establishment was warning people away, or simply confused about how to lure people in. Sin however seemed unfazed by the sign and walked in heading straight for a table for two.

"I highly recommend the dragon roll and fireland floresce if you like spicy...if not I'd stick with fresh floresce and maybe a little lockleech salad."

She glanced at her menu then looked up trying to gauge Riyo's reaction. The establishment had been selected not only because it was Sin's favorite, but because it held the quiet air of informality while serving food that was five scream quality.

"... Bad sushi?"

The first words out of her mouth after the long walk next to the demon seemed both confused and agitated. "This name bothers me on many different levels. I imagine they think they're being pretty clever by naming their establishment something meant to disgust rather than entice." It didn't particularly matter that Riyo was in the process of walking in as she said it. Nor that one of the employees might have heard her.

Casually, the feline pulled out her chair and flipped the tail of her coat before sitting. "Spicy be damned. I ate a pastry filled with wasabi once. Never looked back." That was before she was even enrolled, during that floresce festival.

Riyo's eyes skimmed the menu quietly for moments before glancing back up to her fellow demon. "So Miss Err, what kind of demon might you be?" She had her guesses, so asking would either confirm she was right or prove she needed more practice.

"Don't you think anything is better than what the serve in the Cafeteria?" She asked with a wry smile. Oh she'd eaten Ginger's meals before, but Sin had taken to throwing her jollymeals in the closet and going off campus for her meals rather than risk them turning on her.

"Pastry filled with...that is a cruel practical joke, but at least it widened your palate."

She smiled and sipped some water before placing her order and turning back to Riyo's question. Funny it had been quite a while since anyone had asked, normally she had to work to identify other demons while they pinned her at first glance. Her looks, her dress, her fondness for emotional climates, all pinpointed Sin and no one could mistake her lineage.

"I'm a succubus, from a long and noble line of succubi and incubi with a few avarice, lust, and pride demons in our family tree."

Well. Sin had a point. The cafeteria food was the sorriest s**t to ever be scraped off of the floor. "Yes. Yes I suppose so." The ghoul admitted, unfolding her napkin to place on her lap. "I don't think it was... Intended. Though if it wasn't, I'm not sure how someone accidentally dumps that foul green substance into the mix." Gnomes. That's how.

When the waiter came along, Riyo ordered herself some regular floresce sushi. Nothing special. Fish was a great flavor on its own, after all.

Had she guessed right? Of course, though the affirmation made Riyo feel apprehensive. If there were two kinds of demons she didn't care to do business with, it was Incubi and Succubi. Perhaps Riyo was a little racist in that respect. Er... Subracist.

The way she talked about her lineage made the feline's eyes roll. "So breeding is all you really have to brag about, then." There was nothing particularly special about Riyo's bloodline, as far as she was aware. Just inherited FEAR she couldn't really control, but what her family had they had worked for. Worked to become successful business owners. The sweat of her brows produced every single pumpkin seed the feline carried in her pocket. She supposed, in that way, Riyo felt a little more privileged than other demons. She had never been pampered. "Have you worked a day in your life for the money in your pocket?"
