Tim Drake (currently Red Robin). I loved his solo series and miss that he's not doing more detective work in the Batman books but babysitting the lost and confused Teen Titans in the New 52 sad
On the Marvel side, my favorites are the students of Avengers Academy, who are very diverse and learning important lessons that their older counterparts should learn or remember.

Cool! 3nodding Why Tim Drake? As Robin, I liked his costume the best among all 4 (male) Robins. Either his or Damians xd

Why the Green Lantern and why John Stewart?
I hid the reason in a spoiler in case people go reading the comic pre-New 52

Well there is more than that, for me, being a person of colour it was more easy for me to see him as the character I wanted to follow in the cartoon version of Justice league, Growing up I wasn't much into comics, the only african american "hero" if you can call it I knew about was Spawn (oddly enough I bought a box of the comics at a church garage sale.) Even after watching allot of Justice league I never was to much into comics. I remember I was having a conversation with a friend about cosplay, and I was saying even if I wanted to I didn't know who I could cosplay as. He said "Why not John Stewart" I said "Who?" "He looked at me like I was stupid and said "You know, The Green Lantern!?" From that point I had to figure out who this character really was, This was a little bit before The Blackest Night started, I began reading green lantern comics just as the story was starting and from there learned allot about the DC universe. Reading more into the character, I love how he was the first human guardian of the universe, and how his power was taken away from him. I like that he struggles with things like the memory of his dead wife, but isn't a snivelling little baby about it. even being the only Green Lantern to refuse becoming an Alpha Lantern makes me like him even more.

Whoa whoa whoa..! I'm no GL expert but... I'm pretty sure aside from the Guardian's alien species, there can't be any other Guardians... right? eek

Cool! 3nodding Why Tim Drake? As Robin, I liked his costume the best among all 4 (male) Robins. Either his or Damians xd
Just because of his detective skills and balance between crazy (Batman) and fun (Nightwing).

A crazy guardian had set him in charge of a planet that was to be a "galactic melting pot" so to speak.
