The cave. Unblocked, opened, and despite the cloaked figure's threats, there for all to claim.
It smelled like a trap.
And yet, what other direction was there, for those who called themselves the Defenders of Amityville? They could choose to flee, to turn away and hide, but doing so would tarnish their own pride. Doing so meant they accepted defeat, that Amityville was not nearly theirs, that Halloween could be desecrated and defiled as anyone with power wished.
This was not how true power, this was not how any power should work. There was a system, and Defenders represented that system. They fought and fought and fought to the bitter end because-
- They fought for what was right.
The path forwards into the dark corridor smelled like a trap. It was already a trap. But they would fight. They would fight until they could not any more, for what reason did they have to live other than to fight and to protect? OOC It is DARK in the cave. - The cave is still DARK so unless your student brought a light source, it will be hard to see! - Navigation around the cave is still very difficult, it seems to branch off in several different directions. - Roll a 100-sided dice. If you roll 80 or LESS, your character is lost/ hits a dead end. If you roll 80 or higher, your character reaches what they remember is the corridor from that odd boss but.... it is blocked?

It figured it was still dark in this damn place. No seriously, it was dark. Cricket folded her arms looking into the darkness before looking back to see if anybody else was coming - because unless Arel and Red showed up soon, the ghoul wasn't about to head in there.
Part of the whole 'a group sticking together' idea she had in her head.

"Jacking Hell, I knew I should have brought flashlight for this time around," Vel cursed as she moved further in. It was just as dark as it was before, and the last time she tried to navigate it without light did not work out very well at all.

The glow from his hair helped, but the glow from the screen of his skelephone was what enabled WESTHOR to read the message sent by Tarot, although... Reading was hard. Forcing himself to keep awake as he read the text, it took him about 2 and a half minutes to read each word in the textt. He soon found a dead end though - the perfect place to rest, and read a text!
Now that he had stopped moving, concentrating on simply reading the text, that time shortened to about 1 and a half minute per word. Soon, he had finished typing a reply text - he was so proud of himself for adding a comma! - and continued on his way through the darkness, nervously humming to himself as he relied on himself for light.Syusaki Text to Tarot: k i promise i will be careful, lookin 4ward 2 seein u soon =D

"I don't think we'd really have time to grab one now if that dude is lingering around." d**k answered to Vel's complaint about the darkness - not to say it didn't still such as much now as it did the first time around.
"But I guess that's part of how they kept this so ********' secret."

"I don't know that a flashlight would help very much," Quin said as they moved into the corridor. "The last time we were here it was dark so its not like we would recognize land marks. At best it would keep us from running into things...or certain people." Quin looked pointedly in the direction she had last heard d**k's voice. Not that it mattered, he was probably as blind as the rest of them but still she was sending glaring vibes.

((Entering)) The sound and chaos from the reapers last attack had been enough to drop the large dragon to his knees, what Reaper had that much power? Still the cave was left open, though he had taken no prize for himself he found himself drawn back to it in the darkness, others would arrive he was sure and it was best they stay in a group.
"Oie you and me both lil lady." He shouted out to Vel as he shifted through the darkness two hands in front of him, "Ya know the worst part bout this?" He let out a rolling laugh that echoed faintly in the cave, "Gaping Dragons are practically blind to begin with!"
There was a splash and the laughter was cut short, it seemed he had trouble finding his footing and fell into the water of the cave.

Avery wasn't fond of the darkness. His eyesight, though not terrible per say, wasn't made for seeing in complete darkness. So it was no surprise that rather than make his way effortlessly through the cave, the behemoth was lost. Again. Bumping into the occasional dead end.
Fortunately, though he was still placing hand over hand, so that he at least wouldn't walk into a wall as he walked, there was a faint light up ahead and---
"Westhor?" He asked into the darkness. He recognized both the scent and that light source. If it was indeed the lightning elemental, it would also mean he wouldn't be bumping into things blindly anymore.

Malcolm was at a dilemma - he needed to reply Taru's text, because if he did not, she might assume that he was dead or something... And maybe spam him with texts. Yeah, that would be annoying. It wasn't like he was worried about her safety, or Bee's safety, or anything. In the end, he settled for something he thought might be a little intimidating, and a borderline threat. To top it off, he mentioned the minipet first.nothingyet Text to Taru: Better Jacing take care of Bee. And yourself. Hopefully he did not sound like one of those DETH-minipet crazies.
Pocketing his phone, he summoned his staff for its light, letting it guide him as he tried to remember the turns that he had taken before; so far, he hadn't ran into any dead ends, which was a good sign. However, as he reached the end of the road - or what he thought was the end - he found it... Blocked. Didn't they open up an entrance here before?

"I guess," Vel signed to Quin before glancing to d**k, then to the Gaping dragon as he arrived as well.
"Well, here goes nothing.." she started before frowning as she suddenly heard a splash.
Oh hey! There was a light up ahead. The raptor narrowed in on that to guide her and before too long, she found herself at the other side of the tunnel. With a smirk, she clasped a claw onto Malcolm's shoulder.
"That staff of yours never ceases to amaze me. Lets hope it never fails to shoot its spells off any time soon hm?"

He was coughing, standing up he opened his full mouth hacking out a few pieces of gold and water. "M'alright! M'alright!" Stumbling about he glanced around squinting, everything was just blobs of black to him right now.
"Just ah keep on a talkin' I'll find ya'll so-" there was another splash and a series of draconic swears as he lost his footing once more.

"... Bro?" He asked, turning around; it was a male's voice, so it must be a bro! He squinted, taking a few steps towards the boil, concentrating so that he would light up a bit more, even if it was tiring him out; he had done... A lot today. His activity level today was probably higher than his combined activity level for the past few days, "Avery broooo!"
He beamed, obviously happy, "Want to chill together, bro?"

Malcolm immediately turned around, staff coming to down on Vel's head- Wait, Vel. The staff stopped inched from her head, and he frowned, "You need to learn not to sneak up on people when they had just been attacked, and are now in a place where vision is limited." He was not amused. Then again, he hardly was.
"Of course it will shoot spells when required," He turned away from the ghoul, using his staff to illuminate part of the wall, "It used to be open here, right?"

Avery squinted a little, putting a hand up to block the light from his eyes so that they could properly adjust. When he lowered them again, he was glad to see that it was indeed Westhor. Who looked just as lost as he did.
"Oh thank Jack! I thought I was going to get stuck down here and continue going in circles." He grinned, showing off his pointed teeth, before he gave the other a brief nod.
"Beats wandering alone in the dark." He agreed.

"Oh. No worries. If you had attacked me I would have just torn your throat out," Vel said rather happily. The grin on her face soon faded though as Malcolm pointed something out.
"Yeah. I'm sure of it. Damn. You don't suppose that Reaper caused this do you? Quick. Check the ceiling. Ol'tentacles might still be around."
