Okay, she had to suck it up; she couldn't avoid him any more, especially since her mind was in much better straights than when she last saw him weeks ago. She had recovered, and no matter how scared she was to confront him honestly, she knew she had to do it; even if it sent her back into the depression she had been, she knew she could get out of it again. After all she had gotten out of it once, how bad could it hit her a second time?
The trip to his room was fruitless, and she couldn't find him anywhere else; he wasn't like Roch, she didn't know where to find him at the drop of a hat! Perhaps...that was a bad thing? No, no. There was no answer to that yet, stop getting yourself worked up! Amrita shook her head and pressed her backwards hands tightly against the sides of her head, waiting for her head to calm before continuing on again.
Once she recovered from her mild bout with self doubt, the Patchwork just started wandering to find the Igor, thinking perhaps that would work. In the end she was right, as she spotted the hunched form in one of the nearby graveyards. She loved graveyards, it reminded her of home; that was why she had wandered there initially, suddenly wanting to feel that extra little bit of comfort. But, there he was! Two birds with one stone? Okay, Amrita; this was it! You can do this, just..one foot...in front of the other...
"Chris...! F-fancy meeting you here! Come here often?" She forced a smile, raising a backwards hand into the air to wave. Yes, see? Nothing was wrong, everything was fine!

For once, Christof wasn't just digging. He had been thinking. The graveyard was a nice place to be alone, and the sudden voice made him jump- but when he realized who it belonged to, he relaxed slightly. He slipped down from the gravestone he had been sitting on, wiping his hands off on his coat as she approached, his face twisting into a weak smile as he raised a hand in greeting.
He hadn't seen her since the... picnic. It had been a good meeting, and he was glad to see she seemed to be in good repair. A few stitches he should probably tend to for her, but her work had gotten better. He'd have to let her know he was proud of her maintenance.
"Need-something?" He signed simply, fidgeting a bit as she awkwardly approached. "Happy-to-see-you." He added for good measure.

Amrita shook her head. "Err, yeah, sort of, actually." As she approached she alternated looking between his hands and his face, not wanting to miss a moment of what he was doing and saying. She stopped in front of him, staring at him awkwardly despite her hesitantly happy smile. "I'm happy too~" She admitted, staring at him for a moment before dropping her gaze to the ground; now she didn't want to tell him anything. All she wanted to do now was give him a hug and pretend everything was okay all across the board.
Boy did she really want to hug him...but alas she just stayed put, clasping her backward hands behind her back.
"Err, actually; Can I...talk to you? Just...two serious things, and that's...that's it. Everything else can be...normal. Just...two things, please?" She sputtered, really unable to hold it back; if she did, she'd never get it out...and she had to, before it got around to him anyway.

He fidgeted, his own eyes nervously on his stitched boots before nodding with a shrug. Finally, he glanced up with the same shy smile before signing, "Good-at-secrets. Good-at-listening."

His joke went right over her head but rest assured she would have laughed (or maybe swatted) at him if she had understood it.
"O-okay. Um. Well---" The Patchwork leaned back a little bit, looking down and to the side as she tried to figure out how to best put what she had to say. It didn't go so well with Jericho and Malodore, but of the three of them Christof was the most violent. Should she ease into it, or just...get the brunt of it out of the way and smooth it over after? HRMM~
Taking a deep breath she squared her shoulders, stood her ground, made eye contact and--- "If we find Riley's statue...I think we need to smash it." --- went right for it, and whatever would happen after.

Christof listened intently as she babbled, but when she reached her ultimate point, his expression immediately hardened, his hand flinching as though he just barely was able to contain his outrage.
Instead of hitting her for such insolence, though, he drew in a long breath, mismatched eyes twitching over her face to gauge her expression, his hands very slowly rising to sign, "Why?"
Smash Riley? What if there was a way to fix her? What if there was a way to reverse the effects? It would not pay to have bits and pieces of Mistress all over, and the idea sickened him.
But something had to have inspired her for this thought.
He cared enough about the ghoul to hear her out, at least. He had been short enough with her recently. He owed it to her.

Honestly, that was as far as Amrita had planned. She expected to get hit in some way for her suggestion, and then she envisioned a nasty fight between them. When nothing of the sort happened, she honestly had no idea what to do with just that look of rage. She just kind of stood there for a moment or two, fists clenched at her side to prepare for a fight that just didn't seem to be happening.
"Uh...You're not gonna...?" Amrita trailed off, blinking in complete surprise. Finally she shook her head to clear her mind, and relaxed her arms to try and seem less threatening. "Well...before the field trip I brought something to Riley to inspect, and she said that it was alive and peaceful but barely existing, and that she'd rather die than be trapped in stone like it was." She explained as well as she could manage, her voice lowering as she had to recall those last few heart-to-heart moments she had with the mindflayer.
The way Riley had promised her a future.
"So...I think...if we find her, we should break her." Amrita repeated softly, lowering her gaze to the floor again.

Christof's expression hardened, his hands clenching into fists as he slowly digested this. Still, the blows did not come. Instead, he reached forward, putting a hand on each of her shoulders before his third slipped out from under his coat to sign pointedly, "Insinuates-still-alive-within-stone. Dead-stone-not-in-pain. Living-stone-may-be-released." He wasn't sure if SMASHING was the answer but... "What-did-you-bring-for-inspection?"

The ghoul flinched visibly when Christof reached for her, and as he grabbed her shoulders her muscles tensed, still waiting for the blows that wouldn't come. She almost didn't want to look at him, afraid that something might happen the moment she did; but she had decided long before today to stop dwelling on her fears. That was what made her look up at him again, specifically at his signing third hand.
She hated having the unpopular opinion.
She loved and adored Riley like the rest of them, though easily not to their extent; but Riley's words rang clear in her head, and no matter what hope they all clung to, all she could think about was fulfilling an unanticipated final wish. "Yeah but---but what if they're doing things to her? What if the Hunters get her? What if nobody can do anything? I don't think she'd want to be trapped forever!" Amrita was, for the moment, stubborn about this; it had been the same when she confronted Malodore and Jericho about it. It was an obviously losing battle on her part, but...she had to voice her opinion, for Riley.
She did not, however, tell him what she had brought to Riley.

Christof's eyes narrowed as he took in her expression and words. Finally he let go to sign a bit more clearly with the proper limbs, "Spoke-with-Master-Doctor. Will-need-to-find-her-to-do-anything. If-she-can-be-saved-we-will-save-her! If-she-cannot..." His lips squirmed, his brows furrowing, "Will-do-what-is-necessary."

"I did too." She knew who Master Doctor was, at least she assumed; Malodore was the only Doctor she knew they both had ties with. Granted, she didn't know about his relationship with the school nurse, but it seemed unlikely.
"I guess...I just wanted that known. 'cause it's...kind of the same situation." Trapped in stone, sleeping, peaceful but just existing. The only difference was, the stone tablet was made to be used, but who knew what happened to Riley's statue since it hadn't been smashed.

"Same-situation-as-what?" Christof still wasn't sure what she was talking about, as far as a similar stone-thing. Did she have another sample of insanity? They needed all they could get.

"Um. Something..." She squeaked out, blatantly looking away at something apparently very interesting on her left side. She wasn't sure if Lizzy wanted it known she still had the tablet, even though Christof was a member of SEEDs and was certainly there that day when it came into her possession. That, and the coat. After a moment she drew her gaze back to him, waivering with uncertainty the entire time, and then dropped her head again, pulling out her skelephone and furiously texting.
Dragain Text to Lizzycan i tl chris bout tablet plz repy soon k When she was done she looked a little hesitant, to say the least. The hesitation slipped into suspicion, and finally back into something a little more Amrita-esque; wide-eyed uncertainty, pleading for an out. "You're not...not mad a-at me, are you...?" She implored, tucking her phone away into her bra, since she had no other pockets.

Christof's gaze remained locked on her, brows furrowed as he watched her text and tuck the phone away again, and then blush and glance down again once he realized he was indeed staring at her breasts.
He cleared his throat before shaking his head.
"Not-angry." He signed, mouth twisting a moment, "Stressful-time."
