Uzumaki Advancement Trials Part 2 [Mission Trial] (Currently OPEN) The ninja's ability to follow instructions and complete a task is important as they grow older. This trial will test both.
As each hopeful steps through the door behind Masuto they will find themselves in a dark room with a single light hanging from the ceiling in the center. Being illuminated in this light is a set of ten chairs forming a circle with a number written on each one forcing each participant to sit in the chair pertaining to the question they answered correctly.
Further instructions will be given once the first trial ends.
[Trial Starts Tuesday, June 5th at 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.]
NOTE: YOU SHOULD POST HERE AFTER YOU PASS THE FIRST ROUND!

☽ Tsubasa Uzumaki ☾ ✔Status: Waiting ✔Mood: Confident ✔Thoughts: Hope I'm not in this skyless room too long. The knack of flying is... Walking into the room, Tsubasa takes in the surroundings. Not much in here, a small light, a few chairs. The chairs are numbered though, so I'm guessing that they correlate to the select 10 people that can pass round one. Now I was second to leave, so I guess I should sit in the number 2 chair. Tsubasa walks over and sits in the designated chair. Now to play the waiting game.

 Masato Uzumaki
As soon as all the advanced ninja took their seats in the circle a set of bright lights flickered on showing a very spacious room with a single chalk board on the far end. At said chalk board stood a jonin most of the participants would be familiar with; "Congratulations on making it this far, however, I can assure you that at least half of you will not be advancing onto the next trial. This trial will test your abilities in the field, before we as a clan can think of advancing any of you onto the next rank we must know you will be able to complete a mission." As he finished his initial statement Masato revealed what was written on the chalk board; "Whirlpool Island Whooping Crane: Severely Endagered Specimen."
"There are ten specimens in existence on this island, and by extent the world. five males and five females. We have, as a clan been able to locate half of those, however if we are to save this beautiful creature we must capture the other five. We have quarantined all five on the western half of the island, your task, for this trial is to locate a single specimen and return it here without injuring it. How you do so is up to you, I suggest using your skills as a ninja to obtain them, that being said, you may engage in combat to obtain a specimen, but understand if the bird is harmed in any way you will fail upon return. The number in which you passed the last trial will be the order in which you leave this room. Each person will leave one after another, one hour in between each exit. Meaning that Ayashi, you will be leaving immediately followed by Tsubasa, and so on and so on... Any questions?"
(Tsubasa may begin at 6:00PM Eastern, Tsuyomaru may begin at 7:00PM Eastern, Tamaki at 8:00PM Eastern, Junko at 9:00 PM Eastern, and Kojin at 10:00PM Eastern.)
You must search (in character) for the crane, a moderator (most likely me) will post as the crane when you have discovered it. Be creative! You will literally be shaping the western half of the Land of Whirlpool, what you create may come into play at a future date! Take it seriously and have fun! (Remember, you may come into contact with other competitors, a moderator will make their posts).

☽ Tsubasa Uzumaki ☾ ✔Status: Looking for a crane ✔Mood: Glad to be in the air again. ✔Thoughts: I hope this area works. The knack of flying is... Tsubasa remains seated until his hour has come to leave, he gets up and heads for the door on the other side of the room.I'll catch you guys later Tsubasa walks out the door and into the sunlight. Masato did say that the cranes were on the western part of the island, guess i should follow the sun for now.
Heading westward, Tsubasa starts to cover ground, heading for the treeline in the distance. Reaching the trees, Tsubasa scales the first tree he reaches, climbing high into the treetops. Reaching the peak, he channels his chakra to his legs and launches himself high into the air. He spreads his arms and legs out and allows the wind to fill his sails. Speeding out over the tree tops Tsubasa starts scanning the area. Crane's like water, so I should try to find a pond or something out here in the middle of this forest. Gliding on for a while, Tsubasa lands on a tree branch of a taller tree, climbing up to the highest safe point he could, Tsubasa scans the area until he notices the sun reflecting off a small pond to the northwest, Tsubasa launches from his branch and starts in the direction of the pond.

╔═════════════════╗ ~Tsuyomaru Uzumaki~ ~The Red Hurricane of the Whirlpool Country~ ╚═════════════════╝ If I go crazy then will you still Call me Superman If I'm alive and well Will you be there... Tsuyomaru waited paitiently in his seat, taking his time to devise some sort of plan for when he came into contact with one of the birds. Admittedly, there wasn't much in the ways of jutsu that would assist him without bringing harm to the bird. Still though, once an hour passed since Tsubasa's departure Tsuyomaru jumped up quickly and began sprinting towards the door, being stuck in the room wasn't going to help him at all; "later guys, hope you find your birds!" Spoke Tsuyomaru, obviously talking to Junko, Tamaki, and Kojin; the others weren't really any of his concern.
As he exited the door Tsuyomaru immediately took to the trees, figuring it would be much easier to see the bird while from a high vantage point. The older Uzumaki looked round, trying to get a grip on his surroundings, putting pieces together; the room was literally right on the edge of the clan village, placing them directly on the western half of their island which meant that they could literally step outside the door and be lucky enough to find a crane; though unlikely the possibility still existed. With a small sigh Tsuyomaru continued to jump between branches, his long scarf flailing in the wind.

☽ Tsubasa Uzumaki ☾ ✔Status: Looking for a crane ✔Mood: I gotta do this for my future ✔Thoughts: I hope I can find it before the sun goes down. The knack of flying is... Landing at the edge of the pond, Tsubasa looks around the pond Hmm, still as a rock, but I gotta keep looking One of Tsubasa's goals in life was to become one of the best ninja scouts of the Uzumaki, to fail this test would mean he might as well give up on the scout dream. Searching around the shores Tsubasa could find anything, as he was turning to climb back into the tress, he got his first clue, a pure white feather. This could be the crane, or just another bird, but it's something in this whole bag of nothing. Following the path that the feather was laying in, Tsubasa starts walking through the woods in a westernly diretion.

Junko waited patiently. Well as patient as she could get being who she was. She just could not get comfortable in the damn seat. First leaning forward, elbows on her knees, then leaning back legs stretched out and arms crossed.
First an older ninja Junko didn't care about went out on his mission, then her teammate Tsubasa left and finally Tsuyomaru. She gave the eager genin a thumbs up as he exited.
Tamaki was up next and then she could go out and search for one of these cranes for herself. She had a good idea where she would search. Training out on her own had given her a decent sense of the landscape.
Now she just had to wait for her turn.

Tamaki nodded in understanding as Masato gave them the instructions. Excited, it seemed for eternity for his turn to come up. As soon as the hours slowly clicked over, Tamaki bolted out the door, and towards the western side of the island. He was lucky enough that Masato told them that it was the western side of the island. Currently, the population of ponds on the western half wasn't really that great. This being said, they were on an island. The cranes, as Tamaki remembered, didn't prefer one type of water to the next. Thinking this, Tamaki left the building and went to the coastline. It was maybe a five minute walk from the village, so he just set a point stright ahead and walked.
Tamaki's head swiveled about as he continuously serched for the crane. They were low-flying birds, so he didn't have to worry about looking up too high. This he knew, because they had discussed in class that because of the larger size, and the low-strength of their wings, the cranes were basically refined to this island. Of course this was a bad thing as they were becoming extinct. Tamaki continued to search as he neared the coast.

Tamaki's turn finally came and Junko had one more hour before her turn. It seemed like eternity and a half before they allowed her to leave.
Junko bolted from the doorway and immediately got her bearings. Junko sprinted as fast as she could to reach the region. All of her strength had returned and she felt better than ever. She knew exactly where she wanted to head to find this crane. There was a spot in the northwestern region that she knew of where a two rivers converged to meet the sea.
In what felt like no time , she had arrived at her destination. Two slow moving rivers joined together less than 300 meters from the sea. The V of land between them made for a great habitat for wildlife. She just hoped that her instincts would pay off.

☽ Tsubasa Uzumaki ☾ ✔Status: Heading for Mt. Uzumaki ✔Mood: Slightly scared ✔Thoughts: I really hope the UWPF is aware of what's going on. The knack of flying is... Shew, these birds are harder to locate than I thought, of course finding 1 of 5 birds across miles of island, is definitely like finding a needle in a haystack of needles. As Tsubasa was walking westward, he happened upon a clearing in the forest, in the clearing was the remnants of an old campsite.Well look at what i found, a camping area. Huh, what's this... Out of the corner of his eye, Tsubasa noticed a kunai stuck in a tree with a piece of parchment hanging beneath it. Walking over to the paper, Tsubasa read what seemed like a warning:
Poachers beware, hunting of the Whirlpool Whooping Crane is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. Anyone caught in the act of hunting said animal will be punished by any means necessary, including but not limited to FINES, EXILE, and EXECUTION. Have a nice day from the Uzumaki Wildlife Preservation Foundation.
Well, I sure hope the UWPF is aware of our mission out here, otherwise we could be in some deep trouble. Walking around and inspecting the campsite, Tsubasa finds a few scraps until he turns over the remnants of a tent, in which he finds a worn rucksack. Inside the rucksack he finds a journal documenting someones hunt of the cranes. In the journal it states how they hunters were on the trail of a crane, which was leading southwest from the campsite, in the direction of Mt. Uzumaki, the next page was blank except for a few drops of old blood. Looks like the UWPF caught up to him, but it seemed like he was close though. I guess I'll head for the mountain. Tsubasa steers himself in the direction of the tall mountain and takes off with a renewed vigor.

It came Kojin's turn, he didn't start off with a bang, but he went fast nonetheless out the door and into the wilderness! He would save his chakra for any potential fights that could occur. He headed for the southwestern most part of the island where the river was stagnant and calm. He spent a lot of time out in this region of the island, it's where he went to train his water techniques when he didn't want to be observed. Both in its supply of water. The water didn't run here, so it managed to create a pseudo-marsh like area instead of a running clear creak. This was where the water came through the island to the northwestern region, but the water moved slow and often stagnated here to create the marshy area.
It was near here he would slow down, and begin to attempt to be stealthy, what good would it do him if there was a crane about and he made too much noise? it'd simply fly away. Live capture was absolutely the hardest thing to do. He'd seen them before, so he at least knew what he was looking for as he began to prowl in the trees quietly as he could, searching the water or the nearby land for any sign of the illustrious endangered bird. Finally, he came to an opening. Peaking through the brush, a small series of multiple waterfalls from a water source further south in a more mountainous area than where he was now drained into the stagnated water, and he looked around quietly to see if his quarry would be here.

╔═════════════════╗ ~Tsuyomaru Uzumaki~ ~The Red Hurricane of the Whirlpool Country~ ╚═════════════════╝ If I go crazy then will you still Call me Superman If I'm alive and well Will you be there... Tsuyomaru bounded from tree limb to tree limb, picking up speed with every leap. His direction was one that he had decided on upon hearing the task at hand; when he was younger Tsuyomaru once went on a trip with his cousin, Kojin, and Masoto to the western side of the island where they spent several nights learning techniques that they would come to use later. There was one area in particular that stuck in Tsuyomaru's mind since one such visit.
On the last day of their first trip Tsuyomaru was awoken by the sound of Masoto dragging him from his sleeping bag. Though, he believed the older Uzumaki could easily be planning a prank, he was amazed to see the sight of a pairing of Whooping Cranes, not only that, but between them were three eggs. Masoto's voice still ringed in his ears; "The Cranes that inhabit our islands share a lot of our practices. The children leave the nest fairly young, and learn to fend for themselves, they explore their world and learn many things, but at the end of their lives they always come back to where it all started. They tend to make their nests with their mates in the same area as they themselves were born. Its quite uncanny really..."
That was where he was going, to the area near one of the far corners, the area he had seen a family of Whooping Cranes with his own eyes, hoping that maybe he was correct in taking what Masoto told him to heart. After all he knew his teacher wouldn't give him faulty information.

╔═════════════════╗ ~Tsuyomaru Uzumaki~ ~The Red Hurricane of the Whirlpool Country~ ╚═════════════════╝ If I go crazy then will you still Call me Superman If I'm alive and well Will you be there... The stony crag that Tsuyomaru found himself on was much more steep and difficult to maneuver than he remembered; then again, he and Kojin were assisted by Masoto so he didn't have to climb it himself. For a moment the boy stood and examined the mountain while he cracked several of his joints to limber up before he launched his climbing attack all over the crag face. Tsuyomaru quickly drew chakra to his feet and began scaling up the cliff side, actually performing a small bit of gymnastics as he bounded over protrusions of rocks.
It was just as he remembered, all those years ago, the scenery was beautiful, and best of all, even if no cranes were atop the mountain he would have a great vantage point to see where a couple of his "enemies" were as well as the possibility of seeing a target flying about. Then again, he may be building everything up, he would only know once he reached the top, which in all actuality wasn't too far from him. It wasn't until he reached the top that he noticed a new sign; Mt. Uzumaki. He was still unaware that this place had a name... ...holding my hand I'll keep you by my side with My superhuman might Kryptonite

☽ Tsubasa Uzumaki ☾ ✔Status: Climbing a mountain ✔Mood: Nervous ✔Thoughts: Please let this be Tsuyomaru. The knack of flying is... Tsubasa broke through the tree line and arrived at the base of Mt. Uzumaki, the fated peak that took the lives of his parents. Man, sis is not gonna enjoy me being out here, I better get this over with quickly. Looking up the mountain, Tsubasa thought he saw the slightest flash of a red scarf about halfway up. Looks like I'm not alone anymore he said to himself as he started his ascent up the mountain.
Climbing at a steady rate, Tsubasa keeps his chakra flow circulating through his legs so he can gradually catch up to who he thinks might be a possible ally. What if it isn't Tsuyomaru and/or there's only one crane? Tsubasa knew what he would have to do, but he really didn't want to have to hurt his friend. As he neared the summit, Tsubasa lost track of the mystery person, They're prolly on the other side of the peak, which means I better be ready for anything now. Tsubasa had a feeling that once he got to the top, so would the other person, and things would be touch and go from there.

Junko stood at the tip of the V of land between the shallow rivers. She stood in between the two mighty forces that had carved their way here to meet ever so briefly before joining with the great sea before them.
The water felt cool running over her feet and her toes shifted the hard smoothness of the pebbles. She stood there quietly listening to the soft chirping of the birds and the bubbling sounds of the shallow waters. It was here that as a child she would come to watch the world. She would stand here for hours, just letting herself fade away into the natural surroundings.
She watched everything around her, waiting to see if one of the cranes was nearby. How did she plan on catching one of these birds when she did find one? The young kunoichi wasn’t sure of that just yet. At this point she knew she would just need to have patience.
