It was a beautiful day, and quiet; just the sort of day she liked. She'd been spending time down at the beach, and the young Lagos and Voronwe kits had been all over her to tell them stories and sing them songs. Lying here in the sun was a welcome relief from all of that attention. But she was not a solitary Voronwe by any stretch of the imagination. She enjoyed having other adults to talk to and travel with. She was actually hoping that at some point, one such adult would come down to the lake, and she would have her desired company.

Sakura whistled gently to herself as she closed her eyes, feeling the breeze brush and tickle her fur. Smelling the cherry blossoms that adorned her body. Ahhhh.. Such was the life, she simply couldn't quite imagine a moment more perfect..

Even with the buzzing of the bees in her ears. She sighed.

Even with the Lagos chasing each other around in the background. She groaned.

Even with ... "Oh, forget it!" She exclaimed, basically to her own self. A momentary attempt for meditation quickly failed. "Perhaps another time.."

She flicked her tail gently amongst the trees before rising, and wandering moreso towards the sandy beach. Oh, the feel of the warm sand beneath her paws! The cherry blossoms' scent wafted gently upon the breeze, wings spread ever so slightly to bask in the sun.

Over and hour had passed and much as she hated to admit it, she was bored to tears. It seemed no one was interested in coming to the lake today. All of the action seemed to be going on back down at the beach, so she got up, stretched, and took off at a leisurely run. She made a game of it, weaving in and out of the trees as she headed south towards the beach. She scared a few lagos and other small creatures from her path, but she made sure not to harm any of them. She hummed a lively tune as she ran, stirring up the birds in the trees. In no time she was breaking out of the trees and running through the tall grass that bordered the beach.

She'd just stepped onto the warm sand when she realized it was no longer the bustling, noisy place it had been earlier that morning. Silence greeted her as she slowed to a walk and eventually came to a stop. A strange smell came to her on the breeze, and she tried to make out what it was. It was sweet, and not something one would think to find at the edge of the ocean. She turned into the wind to get a better sense of where it was coming from, and she saw her; wings spread wide, sitting in the sand. Someone to talk to, she thought, and she headed off at a run. She was coming at her from behind, and not wanting to startle her, she called out, "Greetings!"
