A small house squished between two bigger buildings in a busy back alley. Two small "bedrooms" (not much of bedrooms), a small kitchen, a full bathroom, and the rest of the house is a roomy living area. Inside it is always warm, no matter what the weather. A mixed aroma of home and street smell fills the house. The house is mostly clean, only some dust and dirty dishes. Cats and dogs alike flock the house, where they usually get treats from Amai during meal times.

He unlocked the door and stepped inside, removing his sneakers at the door. Hitoshi turned on the lights and walked into the kitchen, getting a few snacks from the cabinets. With a jump, he sprawled on the couch, trying to get comfortable before turning on the TV and promptly stuffing his face. Hitoshi felt a little bad for dropping in today without much warning and for not returning Amai's calls for the past few days, but it didn't bother him much. He was starting to wonder where she was though... The sudden sound of the door clicking open startled him, so that he almost fell off the couch. Amai motioned Liliana up to the door as she opened it, "Helloooo? You in here?" "Yeah, yeah in here." Amai removed her shoes and placed them neatly on the floor, "I brought a friend over, so try to behave, okay?" Hitoshi looked between his sister and Liliana, obviously distraught. He pointed at Amai, "This doesn't mean that you've won! When I get MY Meister, we are going to mop the floor with you!" "Would you calm down? You're scaring Liliana and you'll wake the neighbors!" While Hitoshi was ranting and boasting about how he would "claim victory", Amai went over beside Liliana, "He's only like this because he hates coming in 2nd place. She looked between them. "You look alike but it seems like your personalities are very different." She looked over to him.

"Yeah, we are as opposite as two people can possibly be," Amai laughed softly. Hitoshi was taken aback by Liliana's sudden change in character, his face flushed brightly, "Yeah, w-well, Don't count on it!" He sat back down in a huff, fully flustered. Girls, she scuffed to himself. Amai sighed but smiled, "Anyway, Liliana, shall I show you to your room?" Hitoshi just stared at the TV, not very sure how to act. He was never really good with other girls, he can't even get along with Amai all the time either. Amai lead Liliana up the stairs and onto the 2nd door on the right and opened it. The bedroom was small, but it had plenty inside. The room was based on blue, deep colors accenting the comforter, curtains, and the small love seat in the corner. Everything had a light and fluffy feeling. "How is it?" "I'm glad you like it. Make yourself at home," she smiled brightly, stepping out of the room. "Oh, the bathroom is the door right next to you, and my room is across the hall. "Hey. What's wrong?" He looked down at his hands, "I... Are you seriously Partners with her?" She gave him a gentle smile, "Yes, Hitoshi, I am." He was quiet for a minute, "Do... Do you think I'll get a Partner? And even become a Death Scythe?" "... I think everything will fall into place very soon. You'll find your Partner, and by working together, you will become a Death Scythe for sure!" He smiled back, and stared at the TV for a while... "She's not that bad. I'm sorry for being that way." "Well why don't you tell her that yourself?" Hitoshi dipped his head, "I... I don't want to..."
