There was this cute little park in the city that people flocked to on nice days in droves. Kites, bikes, balls to play football, basketball and other such recreational activities, and of course there was the pinics.
Cupcake loved picnics. Of course he did. It had food, of course the icky stuff he didn't much like (ew veggies!) and the stuff he loved (helloooooo desserts!)
His biggest joy when he was in the city was running around the park and spying on what people were doing...and more specifically eating. Today was no exception. Kelsie was somewhere around he'd darted off as soon as they'd gotten to the park, and she knew he'd find his way back to her if she didn't find him first.
So he began his favorite city activity. People (really food) watching!

“Wow, that’s amazing!” Sasha exclaimed as she looked up at her longtime friend in awe. She was quite agile and more then capable of balancing, but this act, it was way beyond what she could do.
Giggling, Lexi replied, “Thank you!” and continued to slowly put one foot in front of the other. Her arms outstretched, she easily balanced on top of the short, concrete wall that made up the perimeter of the park. What made the feat of, well, feet so impressive, as well as putting it beyond Sasha’s abilities, was that she was balancing on top of the wall from over a foot up. Really, an onlooker would have to wonder if there was really any balancing involved or if she was just simply levitating that high. Regardless, Sasha was quite impressed.
Her stomach suddenly rumbling slightly, Lexi effortless hopped off the wall, landing a foot above the ground. “Let’s go eat!”
Already having been ready for some food, for quite some time, Sasha eagerly remarked, “Alright! I’m starving!” A large bag strapped to her back, she headed into the park with Lexi, who was bagless, right behind her.

That boy there had a kite shaped like a fish and it caught his eye for quite awhile. "A flying fish...that's just funny!" it made him chuckle a bit before he finally tore himself away from the kite flyers and went dashing off again.
A constant ball of energy that was him. Unless he was bored to tears in which case he'd flop on his back somewhere and likely go to sleep. But right now he was in almost constant motion, be it feet, ears or nose, something was always moving as his senses were overloaded. It was no wonder his trainer didn't bring him to the city often!
He paused to get some water from the duck pond, ignoring the outraged quacking coming from them Hey! This is our pond go away! is what he was picking up from the agitated noise and flapping wings but he ignored it until he had his fill and took off again, a furry bullet.
"Ah cool she's walking along the wall." words low and mostly to himself though he paused. "No wait...she's walking...above the wall. How cool!" it was! He wriggled a moment fur waving with the motion and he took off at a fast trot this time, tailing the pair curiously.

Lexi, who had made her way ahead of Sasha, exclaimed suddenly, “How about here?!” It was a pleasant location, in the shade of a large tree.
“This looks perfect!” Sasha replied a wide smile on her face. She eagerly removed the bag and pulled a blanket out. She couldn’t wait to eat, so she hastily unfolded it and set it upon the ground. As Sasha dug around in the bag, Lexi sat, crossed legged, about 6 inches over the blanket. Her stomach growling, she hungrily watched Sasha unload the food. It was all baked goods that they had just purchased from a local bakery. Their roommate Meadow had actually made them a few things, but they had eaten it all on the way to town.
After unpacking it all, Sasha sat opposite of Lexi and they both eyed the food. Neither knew where to start, they just sat taking it all in. There were 9 muffins, 3 blueberry, 3 carrot cake, and 3 chocolate chip, 4 danishes, 2 cherry and 2 cheese, a lemon meringue pie, a chocolate cream pie, a double layer chocolate cake, 6 cupcakes, 3 with chocolate frosting and 3 with vanilla, 3 glazed donuts, 4 cream filled donuts with chocolate frosting, a loaf of marble rye bread, a loaf of olive bread, 2 onions rolls, 3 cream puffs, an assortment of 5 different petit fours, and a solitary everything bagel.

Cupcake was lurking behind a bush as the pair set out their blanket and began to unload their food. What he saw made his eyes bug out, and his jaw drop. "Look at all that yummy stuff!" he was amazed by what he saw...or more aptly by the quantity of the yummy stuff he saw!
He wasn't hungry, not really. He and Kelsie had eaten not too long before coming to the park and they'd been there less than an hour, it was just that delicious sweet stuff that had his stomach rumbling( in appreciation if you asked him!)
His feet had a mind of his own and he was slowly creeping out from behind the bush, looking at the pair, the one floating off the ground, then down at all their food. What was some of that stuff anyhow? He didn't want any of it...he just wanted to sate his curiosity on what some things were that he couldn't put a name to.
Some of it had odd smells, but still smelled good. How interesting! His nose was twitching away as he scented the air as he crept closer, almost stalking the picnic blanket. He was just being cautious. He wasn't the type to run up, steal something and run off, really! Well....unless it was Kelsie but that was different!

There moment of contemplating where to begin was short lived. With much zeal, Sasha grabbed a cheese Danish and, in two large bites, it was consumed. It didn’t even seem like she chewed the bites. Chomp and swallow, chomp and swallow, and it was consumed in its entirety. Lexi, the more ladylike of the two, chose a chocolate chip muffin to begin with. She devoured it in five bites, and she actually chewed each mouthful…. two or three times. She still did make quick work of it, finishing it at about the same time as her good friend. Lexi wasn’t about to be outdone by Sasha, she had to get her fair share. Of course, when the meal was complete, she would say that Sasha had eaten way more, but, for now, she had to keep pace. It was a bounty of food, a feast, and she had to try everything… and some things more than once.
Despite her back being towards the Eevee, Lexi sensed his presence first. Sasha was too busy eyeing the food and, while Lexi was scanning it as well, she was still able to pick up on the furry Pokémon’s emotions. Turning her head, she stated, with a smile, “Hello! Would you like some?” She may have been intent on getting her proper share, but that didn’t mean she would deny a morsel to a possible new friend, and a cute one at that!
Looking up as Lexi spoke, Sasha saw the approaching Eevee and exclaimed, while reaching for a chocolate frosted cupcake, “It’s an Eevee! Hello! How are you?”

There was a startled note of surprise from him as he was noticed, and he blinked a little at the pair of them. How strange, they looked like Pokemon...but also humans? How was that even possible? He'd never seen anything like it before!
Still he crept closer, that food did smell awfully good and they seemed nice enough, especially offering the way they were. But he was cautious.
Though he laughed at what seemed to be an eating competition between the pair and finally he was dashing and closing the distance between him and the others and sat there looking at them, to the food, back to them amazed by how quickly they ate. "Wow...and I thought I could eat sweets quickly! You two are putting me to shame!"
He was awed by how quickly the food vanished, and he blinked at the question from Lexi. "No, no it's okay...but what is that?" and his paw reached out and pointed in the direction of the bagel...and a couple of other things. Sasha's question was met with a smile. "I'm good! I'm exploring the park! I'm Cupcake, who're you?"

Giggling, Lexi replied, “That is an everything bagel, it is Sasha’s.” Pointing to Sasha, she added, “Oh, and that is Sasha and I am Lexi.” She couldn’t help but smile as Cupcake introduced himself. Motioning towards the cupcakes, she added, “I am sure you know what those are, Cupcake.”
As Cupcakes introduction, Sasha first looked down at the cupcake in her hand, and then at Cupcake, then she once again looked down at the one in her hand. She couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Shaking her head slightly as Sasha’s reaction, Lexi then proceeded to point out and introduce the various bakes goods. “Those are muffins, those are danishes, that’s a cake, those 2 are pies, donuts, bread, onion rolls, those are Sasha’s as well, cream puffs, and those are petit fours. You sure you don’t want one? I bet Sasha would even let you try one of her onion rolls! Probably not the everything bagel though, well, maybe a bite, but not the whole thing.”
“Sure,” Sasha chimed in, “You can have a bite!”

"An everything bagel?" how puzzled he sounded about that! "What's on it?" he sniffed at it curiously, but the mention of onion rolls made him take a step back. "Onion? In bread!? But...but onions are icky!"
But he had to admit, they did smell sort of good, yeasty, and sorta sweet, but that tang of onion had his nose twitching doubtfully. How could that even taste good? Still...
"Maybe just a little...I don't know if I'd like it and I'd feel bad if I wasted it." the comment about the cupcakes made him laugh again brightly. "Those are my favorite, it's why my trainer Kelsie named me Cupcake."
He finally took a seat sort of between the two of them, but across so he could look at them as they all talked, tail flicking as he was unable to fully sit still, it was just in his nature to be in constant motion. "It's really nice to meet you Lexi and Sasha." it was, he liked making friends!

At Cupcakes question, Sasha exclaimed, “Everything!!!”
Giggling, Lexi added, “I think it is poppy seeds, sesame seeds, onions, and…um… salt? I think? I don’t really eat them, I prefer sweeter things. Sasha, though, she will eat anything! And, if you let her, everything.”
“I do not!” Sasha exclaimed, sticking her tongue out.
After sticking her tongue out at Sasha, Lexi turned to Cupcake and said, “Well feel free to try anything. It is nice to meet you as well Cupcake!”
Picking up the bagel and ripping a chunk off, Sasha held a piece out to Cupcake, “Yeah, have a try!”

"I guess that WAS sort of a silly question asking what was on an everything bagel." he couldn't help but laugh, it had been silly! "Wow! That's a lot of stuff on them, no wonder they look and smell sorta funny."
The piece of bagel was taken with a thanks, and he ate it with a puzzled look on his face. "Huh...this isn't bad. It's sorta neat all these flavors at once...and it's crunchy. I like crunchy!"
Cupcake snickered some listening to the two of them go back and forth thinking it was nice to see that, to have someone around to spend time with and all. Sometimes he wished Kelsie had more than just him around.
"I'll try not to eat too much of your food, and I'm not too hungry anyhow...but well I bet you know how it is with sweets it's hard to resist no matter how full you might be." and so he did nibble a few things that he'd never seen before, making sure to only take a little, and if it was offered. Once he was done he licked some excess..something...off his paw.
"That was all tasty, thank you for sharing with me, I just wish I had something to share with the two of you in return." it was just how he was really.

“Aren’t they delicious?” Sasha exclaimed, despite Cupcake already giving an answer.
“I like the sweets better,” Lexi added, “though, they aren’t that bad. At least they aren’t spicy.” Turning to Cupcake, Lexi stated, “Eat all you want; we can always get more! And there is always room for pie! Or cake! Or cupcakes….muffins….donuts….bread…. I’m still hungry…” At that last remark she grabbed a cream puff and quickly devoured it, though it did make a bit of a creamy mess on her face.
Laughing, Sasha stated, “I think you missed some!”
“Give me a napkin, Sash!”
At her demand, Sasha reached into the bag that had held the baked goods and pulled out a handful of napkins. After being passed one, Lexi quickly wiped her face. “There, all better!”
Continuing to eat as Cupcake nibbled here and there, Lexi replied, at his comment, “You’re welcome and don’t worry about it! Though, maybe if we meet again, you could show us some of your favorite foods!”
“Yeah!” Sasha exclaimed, “What’s your favorite type of cupcake? What else do you like?”

"I like it, but I don't know that I'd want to eat it a lot. But ohh I bet it tastes good warmed up...and a little bit of meat and stuff on it!" he loved thinking about food, was nearly obsessed with it, honestly. He didn't know why, it's just how he was.
"I don't think I've ever had anything spicy honestly." there was a thoughtful look on his face then trying to recall. Sweet, salty, smoky...he didn't recall spicy however.
"Oh that's easy! Kelsie makes this really, really yummy spice cupcake. It tastes like cinnamon, and nutmeg and cloves. Reminds me of Christmas..sorta like a little Christmas in my mouth." he laughed some. It was an easy thing to tell this one was a happy sort, usually in a good mood, and laughing. "There's also this stuff...I forget what it's called but it's all smooth, and creamy and there's butter in it, and milk. Usually have it with other food. Mushed...no..smashed...smooshed? Something along those lines. I really like those!" mashed potatoes of course.
