Kokoleka loped at a comfortable pace along the borders of the Kapūkolu Ikaika land. She was looking for inspiration. As a kumu hula, in charge of the entertainment, she always had to think of new things. Right now she was looking for ways to portray the movement in nature. The way the trees swayed in the wind or how the grass bends. Even to the way the birds flapped to get away before coasting up high. There was so much things to look at. But how could a lion portray such things? She was so caught up in her thoughts that she wasn't paying attention to the lands beyond, where rogues roamed.

Hamaji tilted his head, observing the area he found himself in. Well this didn't look like the Suka'Fumo lands at all. Wasn't that where he was supposed to be going? He frowned, thoughtfully walking along, hoping to find the large forest and high cliffs he had been told about by a wandering performer. No... this... this wasn't like it at all.
He sat himself down, trying to think about what next to do. However, much thinking failed him as he spotted a female not too far from him. Hey, now she could tell him where he was!
Hopefully.
Without missing another beat, he sprang over to her, offering an overly-excited smile. "Hello!" he hummed, "my name is Hamaji! Do you know where I am right now? I'm afraid I'm horribly lost."

Koko nearly jumped out of her fur at the sound of someone bounding towards her. Her thoughts had kept her very occupied, perhaps too well occupied. She turned to look at the stranger. A smile stretched across her maw at the dark colored lion. "Hello. I'm Kokoleka but you can just call me Koko." She greeted, quite pleasantly. Sometimes there were those that simply passed through or didn't know where they were. "Well, you are now on Kapūkolu Ikaika land. There is a lake further that way." She indicated with a paw even though the lake wasn't visible from where they were.

"Oh..." Hamaji frowned. "I'm not supposed to be here, am I? I'm sorry! I'm looking for another pride, and I think I got horribly lost along the way. I don't really know how I got to this neck of the woods. I hope you can forgive me." He was a bit flustered, and seemed sincerely apologetic. Probably because he was- he didn't like being places he wasn't supposed to be.
It made him feel like a target. Anyway, he had spent too much time being where he wasn't wanted. The last thing he was going to do was re-live those feelings if he could avoid it.
Though she didn't seem angry with him.
"A lake sounds nice... do you mind if I stop for a drink? I promise I won't stay long. But if it's against the rules, that's fine too! I don't want to step on any paws, I swear..."

The last thing Koko wanted to do was make him feel unwelcome. But somehow she had managed to do that or so it seemed by his words. She wondered why she was so bad at greeting new faces. Mini would have no problem with this if she had been in Koko's paws. She tried to give a reassuring smile to Hamaji. "You are most welcome here and are free to stay as long as you want. Pleas don't feel like you are unwanted or unwelcome." Hopefully that would put him at ease.
When he mentioned getting a drink from the lake, she noticeably brightened. "Of course you can! In fact, if you are hungry, there is some spare fish that you can eat before you leave here." Koko wished he would stay but it seemed he already had a destination in mind so she wouldn't press him on it. Anyone with dark fur was always free to come and go as they pleased.

Hamaji felt a bit comforted when she said it wasn't against any kind of rule for him to be there. At least he hadn't wandered into some kind of trouble. It would just be his luck if he had ended up in some kind of crazy pride where they ate invaders and thought he looked absolutely delicious. Thankfully, she didn't seem to think he looked yummy at all.
As far as he could tell, anyway.
He smiled brightly. "Well thank you! I don't want to take food meant for your pride, though, so I think I'll stick to water. but I really appreciate the offer!" Even if he was hungry, it felt awkward to step on toes. She was already being so kind to him.
Why should he ruin that?
"Lead the way," he hummed.

Koko nodded and promptly turned to lead him to the shoreline of the lake. She didn't want to waste his time. They traveled through the lush green grass of her home, which she loved. The dry grass of the savannah seemed so lacking compared to what they had. The grains of pale sand made slight crunching sounds as she led him across it to the water.
"Here we are." She turned with a smile. "You know, now that we're here, I think I'm thirsty too." Koko hadn't even noticed in her musings how dry her throat felt. She crouched down, front paws in the shallow water, and drank her fill.

Hamaji smiled. He liked the green grass a good deal, too. The view was much better than what he was used to. He had heard that a Suka'Fumo lands were surrounded by forest, which he imagined meant they were full of grass, too. Fresh grass, not dried out, hard-on-the-paws stuff. It was all very nice.
He was pleased.
Once they got to the lake, he moved to take a drink, though not before letting her find her spot first. He didn't want to get in the way, even if it was more than big enough for the both of them.
"Thank you," he said lightly, leaning down to get himself some water, "I really appreciate how kind you've been to me."

Koko drank the cooling water in companionable silence with Hamaji. It was kind of nice meeting a stranger she supposed. Though not all were so easy to get along with as this one. She stepped back out of the water and licked at her paws to clean off the water and sand that was stuck on it.
She supposed he would be on his way now. After all, he seemed like he had somewhere he was heading and was only stopping because he was lost and water was offered. "Should you ever find yourself on these lands again, don't be afraid to take a drink. You're always welcome here." Her smile was sincere. "Good luck on your journey and I hope you don't get lost anymore." She let herself laugh a little as she led him back to the border so that he could go on his way.

It was probably the nicest water Hamaji had drank in a very long time. Or was it just the company that made him feel happy? It wasn't like he talked to many lions in the rogue lands. There was always too much risk one was going to get mad about it and launch an attack. Really, they were that cranky. Or that's what he thought, anyway. If they weren't really like that, he would never know; he refused to talk to them.
A pride was where he needed to be.
"Thank you," he replied with a happy smile, "it was an honor to find such a nice place to get lost in! I hope things continue to be peaceful for you- this place looks lovely. I'll be sure to tell the pride I'm heading to about you, so they know how lovely you are!" Maybe it would help create some peace between two prides? That, or no one would so much as listen to him. Either way. With a nod of his head, Hamaji turned, readjusting his journey and heading off in another direction to try and find his future home. She had already found hers, it seemed. He wanted to know what that felt like, too.
