Over the last several days, Rhodonth had gone all bright, and Lilah knew exactly what was happening: her dragon was over a Turn old now, and it was time. While she was no shy little Holder girl, the greenrider was not particularly thrilled by this inevitable turn of events, but as with all things, she was prepared to take it as it came. Even if she ended up sleeping with another girl or - much worse - someone way older than her, which would be way gross. But whatever. Things would happen however they happened, for better or for worse.
It was early morning when Rhondoth woke her, brighter than ever and eyes gone purple. Mine, she said frantically, I love you, but-
Go, Lilah cut her off. If you're gonna go, Rho, go. Shards, but it was early. The young woman climbed out of bed, stumbling and stubbing her toe, and hopped towards the pile of clothes on the floor, then changed her mind. Really, what was the point of changing out of her nightclothes?
After issuing a sharp bugle, by far the loudest sound she had ever made, Rhodonth waited a few moments before launching herself into the half-lit sky. Wake up, Benden! Wake up, boys! There was a green to be chased!

A'in was sleeping, when Troiseth woke him. The blue lumbered out of the weyr, leaping out to chase the green. He didn't see any of the others out there, yet. A'in grumbled about the time, but felt the emotion in His. Fly true and strong.
The blue gave a touch of understanding, looking for the rest joining in the chase. He had plans, if they lasted that long.

Milnth was lazing out in the Weyrbowl when Rhodonth bugled and he was instantly alert from his semi doze. B'nas was already awake, having felt the urge to use the 'bathroom', when Milnth informed him none too gently that he was going to chase Rhodonth. It took B'nas a moment to realise who her rider was and inwardly groaned, this was not the kind of woman he usually spent the night with but he found himself moving without much though as Milnth took off and surged ahead of the other males.
K'en too had been asleep that morning when the green's bugle echoed throughout the Weyr, and his bronze was faster to respond to the call than He was.
I would like to give chase, Stromath stated simply, eyes whirling purple as he watched the green take off.
The bronzerider yawned as he forced himself to sit up. I'm not stopping you. It wasn't necessarily the first thing he wanted to wake up to this morning, but since the Flight was already in progress... Good luck.
Thank you. The bronze gave a deep rumble before taking off into the air after the green. She would be his.
K'en simply watched for a moment before shaking his head. Now just to figure out where he was supposed to go to possibly find this greenrider if his dragon won... He just hoped it wasn't a male greenrider. That would be rather awkward.

At first, Rhodonth flew as if she weren't in any great hurry, giving her potential suitors a chance to wake and chase her - and so she could get a look at who exactly was chasing her. Troiseth, Milnth, and Stromath, with Milnth taking a slight lead early on. Good morning~! She called cheerfully back at the trio, then with strong sweeps of her wings, began to pick up speed and ascend in a tight spiral.
Please don't run into each other, the green advised preemptively. That would not be fun at all!
The bronze was admittedly rather amused by the morning well wishes, as well as the advise not to run into each other. Good morning indeed, he offered in return. And I will certainly do my best to avoid any such collisions. after all, he had no intention of maiming any of his fellow chasers; he simply wished to catch the glowing green. That said, he put on a burst of speed to make up for time lost in leaving his weyr.
Troiseth wasn't upset that the others were pulling ahead of him. He knew that with browns and a bronze chasing, he would fall to the back of the pack, but he was the only blue out there. Surely he stood out. Morning to you lovely! He wasn't going to miss that chance, at least not right now. He surveyed the area, looking for a vantage for a possible Flight prank. Mine, as much as I enjoy pranks, please don't injure the others. I don't want to explain it to the Leaders. A'in's thoughts raced into the blue's mind and he gave a dragon laugh.
"Wonderful morning Rhodonth" replied Milnth cheerily, moving to try and grab her despite it being so early on in the flight. "I will try not to hurt the others lovely Green" he chuckled but was forced to bank and wheel away as she spiralled.
Milnth snarled as his initial surge to be near her backfired on him as he pulled away to avoid a collision two other males managed to get even closer to her than he had been. He roared and was about to lash out at one of the others but remembered that might make Rhodonth keep away from him, so he refrained and tried to catch up once more.

Rhodonth didn't speak further to the males, just sent them all a burst of loving feelings before finally settling into the task at hand - outflying them and making them work to catch her! While she'd taken her sweet time, Troiseth and Stromath had both gained on her, and that was unacceptable! She wasn't anywhere close to tired yet.
Determined, she put on another burst of speed to widen the distance between herself and her pursuers and gain more height. Upon reaching what she deemed an acceptable altitude, she arced over backwards, folded her wings, and dove, aiming to streak right past the males. But this was Rhodonth, and of course, something was bound to go wrong sooner or later...or now. Despite her focus on avoiding midair collisions, her steep dive had her plummeting straight towards Troiseth.
Uh-oh!

Troiseth looked up, surprised he caught up with Stromath. He thought about tweaking the bronze dragon's tail and felt a moment of annoyance from His. Giving an extra spurt, the blue started to fly up towards Rhodonth. His wings pumping and his emotions went into shock as the green seemed to be heading straight down on...HIM! Slowly as if they were just practicing maneuvers, Troiseth dodged to the side, their wings grazing as he turned to catch her.
Rhodonth I thought you would make this harder, to catch you that is. His claws flexed as he thought he would catch her before the bronze.
Well, that was certainly an unexpected and rather daring maneuver on the green's part. Perhaps a bit too daring, actually. Stromath took advantage of the close proximity and dove after her, ready to capture the plucky green. True the chase had not been a long one, but he was not about to let this opportunity slip by.

Whoops! Oh dear! Fortunately, Troiseth reacted quickly, and they only grazed each other. Rhodonth whirled away even as the blue reached for her, though, shying away from the near-collision, but also broadcasting frantic, apologetic love at him. Oh, I am sorry, Troiseth! So sorry!
He had a good point, and she had meant to make it harder, to make it a good Flight, but...but maybe that was not such a good idea, in retrospect. She had almost crashed into Troiseth, and then they would have been hurt, and then they wouldn't be able fight Thread, and then- oh, oh, this was no good at all.
Even as she fussed, Stromath was making to catch her. Yes, maybe it would be better to be caught, and then there would be no more accidents. With one last burst of affection mixed with apology to the other two, she reached for the bronze.
