DEFENDERS SYNOPSIS: Years ago, before any currently enrolled students, even when the current professors were still studying at Amityville, a very small and specific event occurred, perhaps one of Amityville's most well-kept secrets. As the graduating class of Amityville, with the Jack-o-Lantern festival approaching soon, it feels like all the pressure is on you, the graduating student. You have to make sure the festival goes smoothly, set up and clean up booths, entertain the guests in hopes that one day you will get hired by them or work for them, or even start your own shop and-
- Fight your hardest to fulfill your hopes and dreams to simply graduate. There are some things within Amityville that even the most accomplished of students have no idea how to handle and sometimes the conflict comes from within. NOTABLE NPCS: Medea: The Head Priestess from the Lost Clans, she seems to have good intentions all around. There is something she is looking for, and she is not afraid to enlist the help of students as well, as the secret seems to lie within Amityville.
Professor Todd: A well meaning old ghost of a man who teaches the history of Halloween as well as Human Ethics. He tries his best to work with the graduating class to make sure that this year's class is the best and brightest from Amityville and though is something of a boring, drone of a ghost, seems to have a good grasp of what is going on.
??? A professor that rarely shows themselves, considered relatively creepy and hard to approach. There is something they seem to know about what is going on, but approaching them on the other hand....
Red: A graduating student with high hopes and aspirations to be a Bogeyman. She fights for what she believes in, and will do what she can to protect those around her, if they listen to her.
Arel: A graduating student who prefers to follow his two friends, Red and Cricket, and is something of a lackey in their eyes. He spends most of his time slacking off, running away, or just sleeping in class. Has no real aspirations.
Cricket: A graduating student who mostly follows Red's lead and teases Arel. She has gained a high aspiration of becoming a renown FEARhealer, though some of the methods she has gained to achieve this because of her natural ability are questionable.
Pyre: A graduating student whom has been called the 'class b***h' at times. Stuck in her own world she has no trouble telling you exactly what she thinks of you, and has no remorse for her actions. Loves to tease others. She has aspirations to go places in her life, but she sometimes would much rather fly away from everything.
Walker: A graduating student who's bright, yet socially unpracticed even after his time at the academy. Having spent much of his life in solitary observation, he is still quietly curious about life as a normal student, and the events around him.
Murdoch Dregs: A graduating student with strong feelings concerning Halloween's racial inequalities. While passionate, he's often hindered by his own self-loathing and resentment toward others, primarily demons. While he has a few close friends, his temper keeps many at a distance, even those who may hold similar views and feelings.
K. Rengath: A graduating student hoping to be taken into the tutelage of Halloween's finest theater. Big egotistical dreams, he dreams of making it on the silver scream. Overly excited if flamboyant, he really wants to be noticed. Like, he REALLY wants to be noticed.
Ren Kurosawa: A graduating student out to make a name for himself. A slacker, a snitch, and a gossip; a practiced prankster. He rarely studies, but maintains his grades somehow anyway. Abrasive and smug.
Avery: A graduating student who is still unsure of which career to pursue now that he's finished school. With no goals and no motivation, he isn't outstanding in any of his classes. In fact, the only thing he is known for is his explosive temper.
Moira: A graduating student with a cheerful, optimistic nature and bucketloads of school spirit. Amityville has become her home, and she is loath to leave it; she hadn't expected to pass her exams, and is somewhat at a loss now that graduation looms.
Selene Apophis: A graduating student that has spent most of her time with her nose firmly lodged in a book. She's clumsy to a notable degree, meek and shy, with a hissing stutter that only adds to the list of things she's commonly bullied and ridiculed for.
Malcolm Fiad: A graduating student with a knack for getting into trouble, and prone to verbally abusing his classmates and getting rough with them, but never really going 'all the way' by actually causing them any harm. He had also been reported to be significantly gentler around minipets, although all evidence of this had mysteriously disappeared.
Norvegicus Rattus: An excessively nerdy graduating student who practically lives in the Science department, often missing his eyebrows. He one day aspires to be a great Mad Scientist. He is often found shoved into lockers or locked in the other bathroom. Generally cowardly by nature.
Argyle: A graduating student who is excessively emo, resulting from his distaste over his own species (they are terrible to human scarelings and passed glowing skin onto him, the horror!) Devotes most of his time towards pushing ethical human treatment. Argyle is not his actual name, but he knows it's something humans came up with, so he adopted it as his own.
Vanth: A graduating student who also promotes ethical human treatment. She cares deeply for the safety of all living (and undead, and ghostly) beings, and she will show you how much she cares by mothering anyone who flashes so much as a frown or a papercut in her general direction. She is a bit of a ditz, having grown up sheltered, and even still has some pretty ridiculous conspiracy theories about Halloween.

DEFENDERS Q & A
What does DEFENDERS stand for? - Defenders of Amityville of course! A small group of resistance fighters who... well okay, I'm just spoiling the plot here. Why not participate and see?
HOW DO I SIGN UP? WHERE IS THE SIGNUP FORM? - There is none! This event will open up as an ORP that will be announced IN GUILD, IN THREAD, EVERYWHERE for 24 hours. Anyone who posts in this ORP will be considered part of Defenders.
When does this event start/ end? - Defenders begins officially June 1st (24 hours of signup). Most GM posts will be per 24 hours to make sure everyone has a chance to read and react, though there will be small GM reaction posts in between for character interaction/depth. - Defenders is SLATED to end in 1 week, but it may drag on for a couple of days longer depending on how RP reactions go.
How is Defenders run? - Defenders is a storyline format event. That means the GMs will be taking your characters through a storyline, as they try and piece together what is going on and ultimately make choices of their own, for better or worse. As this is GM run, there is an entirely cohesive storyline element to this, characters will be considered "preordained", meaning many of them will meet very specific roles, but the events and actions they take to get there are entirely their own, as well as their own thoughts and feelings.
Am I playing a disposable? - Good question! Some characters actually will not die, however.... In other words however, you do not need to sign up for the disposable, this is actually part of the defenders ORP storyline. Your character will have as mentioned a preordained set of events, but everything leading to it in the storyline you will get to rp out to your enjoyment, including thoughts, reactions, so on so forth.
Why am I signing up with my student then? - You shall see.
I am relatively new to Halloween/ this shop! Can I still participate - So much yes! This is actually a GREAT event for people who are new to this shop, as it is a singular storyline that has very little tie-in to everything that has happened so far. That means, by having a new character jump in as well, you will be able to learn things from your own and have a great chance to develop this character. For old existing characters, having an existing character jump in will potentially help them develop as well, depending on how YOU want to take it.
Why are these answers retarded? - Shut up okay. You know what. Take this contract. Take it and enjoy it.

I have a hunter. Can I RP my weapon instead of a disposable?
Only those who have been contacted via special roles may RP their weapon pre-weaponization.
Is it true that my disposable character can die permanently?
Yes.

As this is taken from the roll of a disposable, and not our students themselves
-Will RP points be awarded for participating? -If we have more than 1 student, they each would have a different disposable correct? -If RP points are awarded, does ^ hold true, that each student must have their own disposable in which to view events to earn rp points?
I GUESS ITS LIKE 1999 AND NO POINTS BUT JUST CHECKIN YO

Syusaki If I don't have a student I can still make a disposable right. 'v'a I just jump to posting the disposable form? Each case varies from person to person. If you have a horseman OR Hunter and you would like to join you can create a disposable. Just go ahead and proceed to the disposable form if you'd like to RP just for rping a disposable character: you just will not get the IC tie in with Trance obviously, but you will get the OOC rewards at the end biggrin

Can my disposable be related to my current character? Or can my disposable be related to my hunter's weapon?
No. Only those who have been contacted in regards to a special role may RP a character related to another established character in the shop.

Wow, this is a useless question, but - can you play a disposable character sourced in media that's less than 20 years old? >.> If it's a variation on a common type of beast, not something utterly unique?
(i just want a skyrim dragon lolololol orz)

I was contacted for a relative plot^^ So my question is, can I give him an instrument for a weapon, like Roch has? I was thinking an acoustic guitar. (Was planning a cowboil type uncle.) And can I give him shadow step as his NA?

AHhhhhhhhhhhhhh just realized this~
While we can't play 2 disposables and what not, can we have our second student/horseman show up, if only to be able to say they were there and thus, could have the IC info after the event?
IC info being general things, any special dialogue between players, offshoots, ect they would miss out on, but, they could get the jist of the overall events?

Just be sure to follow the character creation rules for this event. iStoleYurVamps AHhhhhhhhhhhhhh just realized this~ While we can't play 2 disposables and what not, can we have our second student/horseman show up, if only to be able to say they were there and thus, could have the IC info after the event? This is fine, but please RP only one disposable for everyone's sanity. If you're RPing more than one character, but both/all their posts in the same post to lessen the chaos too please~
