Traitor Jacknife Me and sepraphine seem to disagree on everyother race though. I could be an impartial judge if you would like!I've been ready about your fights and you are right the Slann er whatever have better magic then High Elves!

I had this idea for a cheap Dwarf army:
1 Thane (General, Great Weapon, Gromril Armor, Shield, Rune of Stone)
20 Warriors (Full Command, Great Weapon, Heavy Armor, Shield)
12 Crossbowmen (Full command, Hand Weapon, Crossbow, Light Armor, Shield)
It's exactly 500 points and I can add to it, if I wish! Like some Bolt Throwers or an Organ Gun!

Might I recommend more thunderers and replacing the Gyro with a flame cannon?

Major Tom Might I recommend more thunderers and replacing the Gyro with a flame cannon? I used the above army in a tournament and got second overall in battles (I lost to a Brettonian player playing a broken horsie army).

I did okay in the tourney, given it was my first one. I didn't win, but I did do well enough that now I can't get a pickup game unless the other, less capable, Dwarf player joins in!
Now, I'm painting my dwarfs with Burnished Gold weapons, Mithril Silver armor and Blood Red trim and clothes. Too tacky?

I've played in one tournament. Each player got 1,000pts and played three games. I was reeeeeaaaaaalllllllllllllyyyyyyy new to warhammer at that point. I lost all three games, however I came really close to winning the last one, and the Bret guy I played took advantage of my lack of knowledge of his army and cheated.
Right Now I am building my engineer army (Standard list, just themed engineer.) It will eventually include an entire unit of mechanical Hammerers. heart
