Warning! Spoilers! If you haven't watched the show, I advise you don't read below.

Yes, I do realize this is also a manga. I have read the first couple of books.

Introduction

Ciel Phantomhive, heir to the Phantomhive household, signs a contract with a demon, who becomes his gracious, courteous and talented butler, Sebastian Michaels. So Sebastian Michaelis is now a butler serving the 12 year old head of the Phantomhive family, and strangely has perfect knowledge, skills, and talent at everything. He does anything that his master wants and carries out his tasks with perfection due to the fact that he is a demon and the pentacle symbol in Ciel's right eye is a contract that binds him to his master's will.

Despite Ciel's young age, his intentions drive him to use his royal relatives and servants as his chess pieces, only to realize his goal through using Sebastian.

Princess Izy
Ciel Phantomhive is a twelve years old boy. After the death of his parents he took over the company and became the head of the Phantomhive familly. The Phantomhive family is a royal family. They help the Queen with murder cases, when those are too big for Scotland Yard. Ciel has a fiancé. His fiancé Elizabeth is very different from Ciel. She's always happy and likes to renovate Ciel's mansion. He cares much about her although it may not seem like it.

When Ciel was 9, he lost his parents in a fire. After that Ciel was traded as a slave. Because of that he has a symbol burned on his back. During all this Ciel lost most of his emotions. He doesn't know how to smile like he has fun anymore. Sebastian Michaelis, now his butler, saved him and made a contract. In Ciel's right eye is a pentacle. That's the same pentacle as Sebastian has on his left hand. To hide the pentacle Ciel has a eyepatch over his right eye.

Sebastian Michaelis is a demon butler of the Phantomhive household and loyal to his lord/master, Ciel Phantomhive.

Sebastian has a radiant and attractive appeal to both men and women, as suggested in the anime and manga. But don't be deceived by his charming looks, Sebastian has talent and skills beyond the imaginable.

In addition to being the Phantomhive family's butler, he is also Ciel Phantomhive's bodyguard. He is highly skilled butler, and can do practically everything, no matter how impossible a task looks. No matter how messed up everything becomes by hands of the other three, Bard, Finian, and Meirin, he always is in time to make everything alright. Then he says that it's only normal as a butler of the Phantomhive family. He can do all this because he's a demon.

Sebastian saved Ciel when Ciel was traded as a slave, and made a contract with Ciel, now his young master. He must do everything Ciel wants, because of the contract. But Sebastian gets Ciel's soul. The contract is sealed with a pentacle. Sebastian has it on his left hand and Ciel has it in his right eye.

Grell is over-the-top and flamboyant, with a tendency to use female nouns and pronouns when referring to himself. He also has a tendency to put things in terms of theatre, referring to Angelina's death as the falling of curtains on a theatre act, and comparing his relationship with Sebastian to the famous play, Romeo and Juliet. He apparently has feelings for Sebastian, much to the latter's disgust, and gives Sebastian the nickname "Little Sebast" in the manga and "Sebby" in the anime.

However, his affections are not limited to Sebastian, as he seems to find men in general attractive. For example, with William Spears, whom he calls a sadist, he seems enamored by his eyes, saying they send chills up his spine. He also hunts down Pluto, saying he made his hunk radar go off. In particular, he seems to favor those he deems immoral.

The other Shinigami, however, don't seem to like him, as William constantly refers to him as "trash."

His favorite color, apparently, is red, as he is described as the Shinigami in red by Angelina, commits the Jack the Ripper murders so he can paint "ugly" women red with their blood, and says "Ordinary women aren't fit to wear the color."

Lady Elizabeth Ethel Cordelia Middleford is the daughter of Alexis Leon and Frances Middleford, sister of Edward Middleford, and cousin/fiancee of Ciel Phantomhive. She is undoubtedly one of the most cheerful personalities you will ever find in Kuroshitsuji. Ever. Then again her emotions are so powerful it can cause her to erupt into exuberant (if not borderline violent) outbursts which can harm those around her in one way or another. None of this is truly intentional, however. It's just her having fun.

Elizabeth prefers to be called Lizzie by her loved ones, asking her younger cousin Ciel to call her so quite often as she finds it to be too formal. This "adorable" nickname may stem from the affection for cute things, her youthful zest for life, and the fact that even towards servants she retains a cheery and upbeat attitude (for the most part, anyway).

Though the marriage between Lizzie and Ciel was an arranged one, she was happier than anyone else about it, to say the least. She loves Ciel with all her heart and then some, and does anything she can (or just plain desires) to get his attention and make him smile and be happy; just like he did when they played together as children. She loves Ciel so much that she is willing to not wear high-heels (it was what girls her age would be wearing in her days) just to get the same height or lower than Ciel as she was one year older than him.

Subject to violent mood swings, Elizabeth will often end up bringing harm to those closest to her and endangering herself in the process. For example, she breaks Ciel's family ring in a misunderstanding. Ciel gets ready to hit her but gets stopped by Sebastian. Lizzie tries to get Ciel the perfect gift, but Drossel gets her as a new doll instead.

She is not above crying (or faking it) to get what she wants. Lizzie has been known to beg and use just to get her way, whatever it may be. From a dance party to a birthday bash, she'll do what she can. Although as far as anyone's concerned, a great deal of what she does is all for another person she cares for dearly.

So, in all, she is a supposedly selfish girl with a humongous heart of gold. She is also very skilled at sword fighting, which was passed down from her mother.

Ran Mao is probably the character most used for fanservice in the scenes she's in. From sitting on Lau's lap in a suggestive way to using her wiles to seduce a man into stopping in his tracks to being used as a model for a naked ice sculpture, she is made of service.

It is rare to hear her speak, much less speak more than a few words at a time. It is common, however, to see her in the close company of Lau. Even though she and Lau refer to each other as siblings, they aren't related by blood. In a flashback in episode 20, it seems they are shown together as children, so it does not seem improbable that they are so close as to freely call each other family.

Ran Mao often sports a short black and lavender china-doll dress with a short blue jacket and wears her hair up in a cat-like bun fashion. In season 2 and the first OVA she is shown to have special costumes such as seaweed, a skin-tight mushroom suit, and an incredibly revealing kimono.

As for combat, she wields two large ornamental clubs, one for each hand. These clubs are hard and heavy enough to crack concrete and splinter wood, and apparently take a massive amount of strength and lower speed and agility. This does not seem to slow Ran Mao down too much, as she wields them with ease and can even keep up with Sebastian; Sebastian once stated that she must have a commendable amount of strength in her body for a human.

She was last seen attempting to defend Lau from what she believed was going to be a surprise attack from Sebastian Michaelis, which turned out to be no more than a message from Ciel, stating, "live as you please, just don't do it where I can see you."

A highly spoiled Indian prince, as stark a contrast to Ciel Phantomhive as Lizzie. Regardless, Soma views Ciel as one of his dearest friends. Seeing as how Ciel and Sebastian changed his view from spoiled rotten brat to kind, caring individual concerned for others. But change such as that does not comes over night, so he has decided to travel the world over and become an excellent man worthy of mention.

He can not do this without his most loyal friend and servant Agni, whose incredible speed and skill in battle and domestic work rivals Sebastian Michaelis'. Before Soma's trip to England, he had lost a woman servant he had loved dearly. Hearing of a man stronger than any other man alive, he sought out and found this man, saving him from being hung for his crimes. Cutting through both the noose around his neck and so much long hair in one deft slice, Soma announced to both the convict and the crowd that the man they had seen that day was dead. From that day forth the wild man would own a new life as his male servant 'Agni'.

Before he even met Ciel, Soma had a selfish streak ten miles long and blamed all of his problems on others. In addition, he also used his parents money for his own purposes, unlike the constant flow of charity Ciel runs (to get where he desires in life... so they aren't completely different after all).

It was because of this self-centered arrogance that Meena, one of his former servants and someone he looked up to as an older sister. She left for London with a man known as Lord West in order to satisfy her desire to climb higher and higher "using as many men" as she can. This causes Soma to pack up and go looking for her. However, after finding her, she rejects him coldly and walks away, leaving him to gather what was left of his shattered heart. He is then confronted by the Phantomhive servants who give him some of Sebastian's curry bread. The taste is so inspiring, and with a little more encouragement from Ciel, finds the courage to go to the competition and give Agni the support he needed to fight a horde of crazed curry samplers affected by a spice called curry-ma.

In personality, Soma is one of the dorkiest people on Kuroshitsuji, and I'm not just talking about how awkward things can get around him. I mean he has some of the strangest quirks that just make you want to say "Nerd!" Watch the OVA "Welcome to the Phantomhives". How many people try suggesting marriage after just meeting someone? Agni's response is questionable as well. His behavior is just straight up unusual, from changing his mind in an instant to hanging onto Ciel and crying his eyes out. Then there's the fact that he does act like royalty more often then not, proven in the first episode he appears in.

There is contradiction when it comes to his intelligence: if he's stupid or just plain outlandish. For example, in the second season of Kuroshitsuji, Soma almost blows the cover of everyone who is aware of Ciel's amnesia by clinging to Ciel and crying. This may make him seem overemotional, but you would be too if you had lost one of your dearest friends in mind. Now with Sebastian in the first season, episode 14... in the night, Sebastian violently wakes Soma by pulling him out of bed and threatening him... Soma later hides behind Ciel (likely because Sebastian wouldn't go straight through his master... and there was no one else that could help him.

Soma happens to be the prince of Bengal, but now hands out curry bread to the needy in London.

Little is known about Finnian's past other than that he was experimented on, and that his captors killed his friends, locked him up and kept him inside. They are responsible for the tattoo on the back of his neck and the injections that are likely the cause of his super-human strength. In his confinement, he was only given a small window, through which a bird appeared to him on a frequent basis.

Slightly over a year ago, Ciel picked up Finnian and allowed him to work as a gardener, which he loves doing because he used to not be allowed to go outside. It is for this reason that Finnian is exceptionally loyal to Ciel. It's unclear precisely what Finnian means by being "picked up." In the anime, it is changed so Ciel didn't pick him up, but rather, he was recruited by Sebastian. Also, he used to have a pet bird, but his super-strength ended up killing it while petting it.

Not much is known about his past, other than he is an American who was involved in war. In the anime, this information is expanded to include that he was a sergeant in an army, and was shown to have exceptional planning, foresight and fighting skills. After a particularly bad fight, where he was the only survivor, Sebastian approached him and offered him a job at the Phantomhive manor.

As a result of these experiences, he tends to keep high-powered weapons on hand and puts things in terms of war, such as when he called mice "the enemy," the manor "the battlefield," and the hunt to catch them "a fight." Like the others, he is recruited by Sebastian, but it is unknown precisely why he chose to go work for Ciel Phantomhive.

Mey-Rin used to be, and still is an incredible sniper due to her extreme far-sightedness. She claims that she prefers not to use a scope, and in her previous job, her boss stated that being a sniper was the only way to put her far-sightedness to use. As a result, she can wield high-powered rifles, hand-guns and other firearms. Once she begins working for Ciel, she seems pleased to get to wear skirts and the glasses he purchased for her, which is part of the reason why she does not buy new glasses. Without them, she is able to see great distances clearly, aiding in her ability to be a sniper.

Tanaka was present when Ciel Phantomhive's family was murdered, and attempted to warn Ciel to escape. In doing so, an unseen attacker stabbed him from behind, severely injuring him. It is unknown how he escaped the mansion, which was later set on fire.

He was treated at the Royal Hospital where Angelina Durless worked. The hospital was the first place Ciel went after making the contract with Sebastian. Tanaka saw him and was amazed that he was still alive. They went back to his hospital room. He then gave Sebastian his pocket watch, which he says has been passed down from one Phantomhive butler to the next.

In his human form, Pluto has shoulder-length grey/silver hair, red eyes, and fangs. His pupils are also slitted and he has black toenails. He is often shown nude in his human form, as he changes back and forth from his demon hound form to his human form frequently. Later, though, he is shown wearing a suit more frequently.

When in his demon hound form, he becomes a monstrous dog, easily towering over Sebastian Michaelis and even tall humans. He has white fur, red pupils, black sclera and long, black nails.

He does not speak, even in his human form, and simply makes dog-like sounds, such as whining noises, howling and barking. Even when in his human form, he retains dog-like characteristics, such as continuing to run around on all fours and using his nose to find things. He can turn into his dog form upon will or more unintentionally, such as when excited.

Alois seems to have an overall cheerful disposition in spite of hardships and misgivings. However, his emotions are quite unpredictable, fluctuating from enthusiastic and hyperactive to angry the next and he loses interest in things fairly quickly. Alois often uses harsh and impolite language, such as "bloody" or other swears, regardless of whom he is speaking to.

One of his few consistent traits is his attachment and dependence to his butler, Claude, whose attention he is frequently trying to attract. His horrific childhood, which contained no parental figures, is the likely cause of his extreme need for affection and acknowledgment from Claude. Though his harsh temper was evident even in childhood, his sadistic streak, bizarre promiscuity, and crude language stem from the sexual abuse he received shortly before contracting with Claude.

Alois enjoys the authority of a noble he obtained and utilizes his power sadistically. In order to feel dominant, he abuses others and makes them feel uncomfortable and inferior for his own satisfaction. However, Alois particularly directs the cruelty to Hannah. He frequently abuses and demeans her with vile remarks when he believes that she is trying to take someone else's attention away from him. Despite how he mistreated her, Hannah later admits that she has loved Alois the whole time and his attitude towards her changes completely; he accepts her loving him since he can no longer gain any of the acknowledgment he sought from Claude.

Before she met Luka Macken and formed a contract with him, Hannah was an apathetic, bored demon who had the demon triplets subjugated under her. She had grown tired of eating human souls and was uninterested in them until Luka appeared, asking for a contract to destroy the village that caused his brother's tribulation.

His sheer innocence and determination for Alois's happiness made her realize that he is different from other humans. Hannah decided to fulfill his wish to kill the townspeople, and he thanked her before dying, something no other human had ever done. This caused her to be attached to Luka, and she was mournful when devouring his soul. Hannah retained Luka's soul inside her, and later, she watched over Alois, becoming his maid. Apparently, she adopted Luka's desire for his brother's happiness and worked to accomplish that as well.

Cantebury is a young male who has red eyes and short, plum hair, with a fringe swept to the left. His fringe is swept in the opposite direction from Timber's. He wears a light brown vest, black trousers, and a white, long sleeved shirt.

Thompson is a young male who has red eyes and short, plum hair, with a fringe that falls in a point to the center. He wears a light brown vest, black trousers, and a white, long sleeved shirt.

Timber is a young male who has short purple hair and slanted red eyes, with a fringe swept to the right. His fringe is swept in the opposite direction from Cantebury's. He wears a light brown vest, black trousers, and a white long sleeves shirt.

Despite being portrayed as typically quiet, it is revealed by Claude Faustus that the triplets have poor etiquette and discretion. Nonetheless, they are ordered by Alois to speak up. Cantebury and his brothers, whilst being outspoken, are not afraid to voice out their opinions. Alois later becomes annoyed with this and orders them to be silent once more.

Appearing almost the same as Sebastian did to Ciel, Alois forms a contract with Claude and chooses to serve him as his butler. Time passes and the next we see of the pair is during a sudden visit of Arnold Trancy, Alois' uncle to the manor. Under his master's order, he restores the mansion to the way it was before Earl Trancy's demise, thus helping Alois keep the facade of actually caring for his father. Later that evening, a storm brews and a mysterious stranger appears at the Trancy manor. This stranger is then revealed to be none other than Sebastian Michaelis himself bearing Ciel Phantomhive in a suitcase. When he is found out, Alois orders Claude to give chase but Sebastian escapes by plunging the manor into darkness. Alois has an anxiety attack and orders the servants to restore light to the manor but insists Claude stays by his side.

He is next seen on the same train Ciel and Sebastian board and presents them with an invitation to a ball hosted by his master.

At the ball, Claude confronts Sebastian under Alois' order. A fight ensues.

After the battle, he and Sebastian speak alone, away from their masters. They agree that neither one is satisfied with Ciel as he is now since without his memory of accomplishing revenge, his soul is incomplete. Since Claude wants a perfect Ciel to present to Alois and Sebastian does not want to devour an incomplete soul, the two then agree to a bargain in which Ciel will have a second revenge, this time on Alois. Claude is confident that he will be able to get Ciel away from Sebastian once this is accomplished; Sebastian is equally confident of keeping him. They seal this bargain by dripping their blood into cut white roses; each one first drops blood into a rose that subsequently turns red and then passes it to the other for a second drop which causes it to turn violet-black.

Seeing as neither butler was defeated, they continue their confrontation at a second ball. This time, this is a private affair to which only Ciel was invited. The battlefield is set in an enormous chess board with Alois and Ciel watching from a balcony. During the first half of the battle, Claude commands the triplets and Hannah to attack in his place but they are easily defeated. Before Claude can make his move, Sebastian stalls the fight as it was then time for tea. Both butlers withdraw and call a ceasefire to prepare tea for Ciel and Alois.

When the battle resumes, Claude pulls an ancient demonic sword, 'Laevateinn' out of Hannah's mouth and challenges Sebastian to a duel. He manages to corner him in a mass of spider threads, sturdy enough to cut through steel. But as it seems Claude has the upper hand, both butlers hear sounds in the mansion and rush in to see Ciel confronting Alois. Claude stops Ciel before he can deliver the death blow by grabbing his sword. As Ciel flails, he slaps Claude and leaves a trail of his own blood on Claude's cheek. Tasting Ciel's blood leaves Claude in a stunned state until Sebastian calls his attention. Claude ignores his wounded master, who is pleading for his help, continuing instead to taste and analyze Ciel's blood. This suggests abandonment of the contract. Claude and the demon sword
Added by NerdinyourclosetThe next day. Claude changes the bandages on the sword wound Ciel gave Alois, remarking that the wound is shallow, and that Ciel could probably have done better if he hadn't been so angry. Alois asks if the scent of his blood makes Claude hungry, and he says yes, but then smiles at Alois and leaves. In a flashback, Claude is seen appearing as a giant spider when Jim/Alois first speaks the summoning chant. He is annoyed that he has been called by someone who has no wish in mind, and says that they will form a contract once Jim knows what he wants. Later, when Jim has become Alois Trancy, Claude tells him that it was a demon, Sebastian Michaelis, who destroyed his village under the command of his former master, and that Sebastian has a new master named Ciel Phantomhive. He adds that Sebastian is more attached to this new master than a demon under contract should be, leading Alois to decide that taking Ciel away will be the most fitting punishment for Sebastian. In the final scene, when Alois has dragged himself from the wrecked coach, Claude appears again. Alois grovels at his feet, calling Claude "my highness" and begging him never to leave, but Claude coldly says "what a thing to say to a mere butler", kills Alois and takes his ruby ring. He says that a soul so lowly and cheap as to give its love to a butler could never tempt his appetite, and tucks the ring into his coat, saying he has a use for Alois' soul. He asks Grell Sutcliff if he'll try to take it, but Grell declines, saying he'd rather just watch how this plays out.

Claude presents the ring which possesses Alois' soul to the Trancy household. After two bad guesses from the triplets as to what he's to do with it, Hannah finally remarks on the change of the furnishings colours- all that were dark blue has been changed to midnight blue- Claude declares her to be correct. 'Unaware of noticeable things, just the slightest change' he continues: 'At the root, their souls share something in common. With them it's their past.' He is speaking of the souls of Alois & Ciel. It is shown that he is keeping a close eye on Sebastian & Ciel has they embark in another assignment from the Queen when Sebastian becomes occupied in a fight with William T.Spears, Ciel is arrested by the police who believe he's Alois Trancy and is identified by Hannah as Alois. Ciel is then tortured, which Claude and Hannah override. While Ciel is in a weak state after heavy and severe treatment Claude begins hypontizing him and then places Alois's ring on Ciel's finger causing Alois's memories to mix in with Ciel's memories. Causing Ciel to believe that Sebastian was the cause for the death of his parents and the death of his 'brother', Luka. When Sebastian finally reaches Ciel, Ciel is pushes him away and refers to Claude as his butler. Claude then whispers to Ciel to order Sebastian to leave his sight which Ciel does willfully. Claude then takes the weak and tired Ciel back to the Trancy mansion where he is warmly welcomed.

Claude wakes Ciel up and hands him a cup of Earl Grey tea and begins the morning ritual of dressing him. When Ciel asks where Alois went to, Claude declares proudly that Ciel killed him during their duel. Ciel comments that it was not the stab that killed Alois but his weakness which impresses the demon. When Claude puts on Ciel's socks, Ciel hears commotion from outside - Sebastian jealously is knocking down the trees around the house - Ciel orders Claude to put an end to the noise and Claude smiles and slyly replies: 'Yes, My Lord' then kisses Ciel's foot. Disgusted, Ciel kicks him away which Claude warmly accepts. Claude then goes out and mocks Sebastian by commenting on how the Sweet Briar flower will suit his young master. When he is brushing Ciel's teeth he accidentally loses concentration and gets Ciel slightly wet, Ciel frustratedly says that he is useless and how Sebastian would never make such a mistake. But then Ciel pauses, Claude explains that it would be best if Ciel made a contract with him and therefore complete his revenge against Sebastian, Ciel however says that he does not need help from Claude and is shown to be reluctant from make a contact with Claude. Claude reminds him that Sebastian is a demon and would be difficult to defeat alone. This irritates Ciel and Claude mentions that Ciel does not have to decide now though. Claude then walks out of the room opens a window and loudly declares, so Sebastian will hear: 'Ciel Phantomhive's soul...is good. A truly good thing!' He then orders the triplets to go after Sebastian.

Later on when Ciel breaks a mirror Claude attempts to comfort him however Ciel is distant. Claude then orders Hannah to clean up the mess however Ciel demands that Hannah accompany him to his bedroom and Claude stay to clean up the mess. Although he is confused by this he goes along with the orders. When Claude and Sebastian encounter each other again that night they break the contract they made earlier and fight, Claude describes how he will make Ciel his by straining the contact between Ciel and Sebastian and once Ciel is his he will never let him go. Then they both hear Ciel's voice cry out: Sebastian, as he climbs a clock tower. Claude declares Sebastian to have been caught out and is now no longer a butler. However Ciel then cries out for Sebastian's help insisting that he'll climb higher and higher to the top, however when he smiles which is similar to Alois's smile they both know that it is not Ciel but Alois controlling him. Hannah confirms this and finally Ciel makes it to the top and threatens to jump.

Claude and Sebastian have to race through a maze and answer questions based around Alois, if they get the questions right they can pass through however if they get the questions wrong they are held back. Alois has given Claude every advantage to easily pass though, allowing any of his answers to be correct. The first question (i.e. Why did Luka contract with Sebastian Michaelis?) was answered truthfully by Claude that it was Hannah who made a contract with Luka, and the fact that Hannah had such a strong attachment with Luka fascinated him. When Claude comes to the last question (i.e. Why did Claude Faustus murder Alois Trancy?), he again answers truthfully that it was only to gain Ciel. Sebastian also arrives just in the moment when Ciel overcomes Alois's control however he is not mad at Sebastian and declares him to still be his true butler. However Alois overrides Ciel, then he and Hannah go into the tower.

Claude and Sebastian race to the top however both are too late and Hannah has made a contract with Alois. Alois says to Claude for the last time that Claude will always be his Highness and that he wanted his love only. Then he collapses into Hannah's arm, and she now owns Alois and Ciel's soul.

He later rows a canoe with Sebastian as Hannah sings a lullaby to Alois in Ciel's body. They reach a secluded place called the 'Demon's Sanctuary' and Sebastian uses the demonic body from Hannah's body to duel with Claude, with the loser being killed. The battle ends and Claude loses and acknowledges Alois's existence. Hannah is last seen beside Claude's corpse, saying that the love amongst the four of them (Luka, Jim, Claude, and Hannah) will bring them to Nirvana. She pulls the sword out of Claude and lies down beside him, as the whirlpool surrounds them, seemingly killing them all.

Angelina fell in love with Vincent Phantomhive when she was fifteen, but becomes distraught when she found out that her sister was marrying him. Because she was very close to her sister and cared deeply for her, she tried to be happy that the two people she loved most were getting married. However, after their marriage, she came to hate the color red again. After Ciel was born, she worked to earn her doctor's license, against the wishes of her parents. She also attended lavish parties, which she stated that she hated, in red dresses and was then renowned as Madame Red. She frequently played with Ciel and Elizabeth Middleford, stating that these were the people she loved the most. Angelina later married Baron Barnett, who treated her lovingly and gently, stating that he did not mind that she harbored feelings for another. She called him an honest and pure man who treated her well and made her happy. She became pregnant, but after a carriage accident in which her husband was killed, her womb and unborn child had to be removed to save her own life. Rachel frequently visited her in the hospital, understanding the pain she was in. However, Angelina became even more bitter about her sister's marriage, as Rachel had Ciel while Angelina could now never have children of her own. Her loss also caused her great strife as a doctor, as she regularly performed abortions on prostitutes, who considered pregnancy nothing but a nuisance.

After Angelina recovered, Rachel invited her to Ciel's tenth birthday party; Angelina stated she did not really want to attend, but went anyway. Upon arriving, she witnessed the Phantomhive manor burning and learned that Rachel and her husband were killed and Ciel's body was never found. This was caused by the color she hated - the burning red of the fire. She was devastated by the news, but all the same, envious of her sister because she died with the person she loved, while Angelina had to carry on living.

Shortly after this, Angelina began to murder her patients who requested abortions, stating that because they did not want their life, womb, or happiness, she would take it from them. It was after one of these murders when she met Shinigami Grell Sutcliff, who offered to assist her.

Several months after she began the killings, Ciel returned alive. Angelina was overjoyed when Ciel returned, and did not mind when Ciel refused to share what happened, stating that his return was enough.

Lau is a generally easy-going, carefree man, with a smile almost constantly plastered on his face. However, he does have some odd tendencies. He keeps a variety of women with him, and even refers to his personal assassin, Ran-Mao, as his sister, though not related by blood. Despite not being related, though, he has known Ran-Mao since they were young. He apparently treats these girls well, as he takes them out for treats and special occasions.

He also has an odd tendency to say or act like he knows something at times, only then to reveal that he actually doesn't. This trait of his particularly annoys others around him and Sebastian describes this behavior as "typical of a yes-man." However, despite his oddities, he seems completely oblivious to how strange he appears to be to others.

Lau has shown that he has a slight propensity toward violence, as he tells Ciel that he would kill Agni if he were Harold West, much to Ciel's surprise since he, on the other hand, finds that a bit excessive. Also, in his zeal to help Sebastian during his magic trick, which involved stabbing a chest that Sebastian was in repeatedly, he does so without thinking of the circumstances, attacking instantly from the top. Lau actually manages to cause Sebastian's pain, which even surprised the latter.

In the past, Agni and his family were apart of a high caste of Brahmans that were able to serve God. However, as a child, he witnessed his father swim in materialized human indulgences, which triggered Agni to loose his faith in God. Alike his father, he indulged in luxuriant sins available to him, due to his social class, but after hurting a lot of people, he eventually was called to pay for his sins by the means of execution.

During his execution, he so thought he lost all lingering affection for the world, losing his link in faith for God. However, when Prince Soma heard that Agni was very strong, he showed up to his feet, and spared him as a partner. When his attendants claimed that it wasn't allowed by command of the authorities when the criminal is already scheduled to be executed, Soma cut the hair of his head, and said that he is to be reborn with a new name and a new life. For this reason, it is understood that Agni is not his birth name. Agni accepted this offer because he felt that God existed in Soma.

Aleister is an extremely flamboyant, dramatic man, with a tendency to call young women "robins" and to compare things to women and girls.

He is known for his interest in black magic, and holds underground auctions to go along with his fascination for this. At these auctions, he sells girls and women as pets, individuals to be used in ritual sacrificing, and to be sold as parts. However, he does not seem to necessarily partake in these activities, and simply captures the victims and facilitates the transactions. Due to his great wealth, when caught for holding these auctions, he is able to escape a jail sentence through bribery.

Undertaker is a retired Shinigami, and as Grell Sutcliff quotes, a "deserter". As a Shinigami, he wore square, silver-framed glasses, and a black suit including a black trench coat. He did not have the scars across his neck and face, but still had his ear piercings.

In the anime, he is a famous Shinigami, who was ranked management level and has judged souls as famous as Marie Antoinette and Robin Hood. William T. Spears said that even crying children would have offered their souls to him. He is highly respected by William, but he does not return the feelings, calling William "annoying and noisy."

Undertaker was also shown in the Phantomhive Manor along with other nobles and acquaintances of the Earl in Baron Kelvin's flashback, meaning that he was a possible acquaintance of Vincent Phantomhive.

At a young age, his parents died, so he and his brother Jim Macken are ostracized from their village. Luka and Jim are promptly forced to steal from the villagers in order to survive. Such actions add more hatred from the villagers, and he is shown to have had some guilt after stealing from an elderly man who had lung problems. Jim then discovers a bruise on his younger brother's forehead and throws the jar of medicine, breaking it in anger. After Jim wishes death upon those who intentionally harm his brother and him due to their orphaned state, Luka embraces him and wishes for his brother's wish to come true. The younger claims it will happen since he describes his brother to be terrific, and thus, he will be granted a lot of wishes. Jim then commands his brother to stay with him, and Luka kneels down on one knee and responds, "Yes, Your Highness".

At an unspecified time, Luka meets up with Hannah Anafeloz in order to form a contract to eradicate the village. Later, he is shown being kicked by two young boys until a female villager interferes, and they run off. Luka thanks her and promises that when the village is destroyed she will be spared. When she asks what he means, Luka reveals that he has made a contract with a demon, who will destroy everything in exchange for his soul.

One night while they were collecting water from a local canal, Luka and Jim find carcasses floating in the water, which leads to their discovery of their village up in flames. They discover all the villagers who bullied and abused them dead upon his and his brother's arrival. Luka and Jim rejoice and split up to steal all the deceased residents' valuables.

Luka, isolated from his brother, willingly offers his soul to Hannah and even takes the time to thank her for granting his wish.

Ronald appears to be a rather laid back, easy-going Shinigami, who apparently has problems with arriving on time. He often seeks for a quick way to accomplish his job, as shown when he says he has never been one for overtime, and with ease, as shown when he wistfully tells William T. Spears that Grell Sutcliff got to do an easier job.
Moreover, Ronald seems interested in partying, as he shares with William that he would like to finish a job quickly because he has a party to attend to afterward. His lackadaisical attitude seems to annoy William, but he does seem willing to work hard, as he states he will try his best.

He addresses his elder, Grell, with honorifics to show his respect. He also comes across as a ladies man, commenting he got his Death Scythe legally modified by flirting with the receptionist; and treating Mey-Rin for a drink, even if he only saw her once.

Note: When choosing this character, You may use both or one of them. This is one person though.
Angela first comes across as a submissive woman, being beaten by Henry Barrymore in front of Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian Michaelis. However, she seems to enjoy the role of dominatrix, as seen from her change in outfit and overzealous attitude when she tortures Sebastian. Mey-Rin describes her as being a "forceful woman," after catching her in a sexual act with a man.
Despite being a hermaphrodite, when in her female form, it is very important to her to be recognized as a woman, as she goes to great lengths to engage in sexual acts, even with Pluto, and when she reveals and offers herself to Sebastian, and she gets upset when he turns her down. Even before her true angel form was revealed, Sebastian was noticeably suspicious of her, questioning the ease with which she tamed Pluto.

She has an obsession with purifying beings she views as being unclean, even more so than Ash, being nearly maniacal in her efforts to do so. Nonetheless, she is not above using those she views as being unclean if it grants her more power.

Ash initially appears calm, quiet, and loyal to the Queen Victoria. As an angel, he seems to think himself superior, and is annoyed by the Queen's human qualities. Even before his true self is revealed, Sebastian Michaelis is notably suspicious of him and views him as a vulgar man. He eventually falls into insanity, leading Sebastian to comment he might be a Fallen Angel.
When he reveals his true form, it is known that he is the male part of a hermaphrodite angel, although both he and Angela have distinct personalities. In particular, he finds fighting to be exciting, becoming almost maniacal about it, and easily becomes angry when any attention is diverted away from him during a fight, hinting a deeper madness that may differentiate him from other Angels.

Grell Sutcliff reveals that the real Drossel Keinz had his soul seized by the Shinigami five years ago, indicating that he was dead. At some point, his body had been reanimated with a temporary soul, and he attempted to go back to work for the Mandalay family. However, his master, Duke Mandalay, had been committed, abandoning his manor, and was not the person controlling or relaying orders to Drossel.

Drossel is unaware that he is no longer human, and that his body is being sustained by stuffings of wheat. He is exceptionally loyal to who he thinks is his master, even stumbling with his stuffing falling out to inform him of Grell Sutcliff, Sebastian Michaelis, and Ciel Phantomhive's invasion of the manor. He works hard to fulfill what he thinks is a request to turn anyone into a doll who had come into contact with the Shard of Hope, but this turns out to be him over zealously trying to please his master. The person controlling him, though, seems to think little of him, calling him incompetent and is not sad about his doll dying.
Drossel has a tendency to describe people in terms of what materials he would use to make their doll form with, then singing different verses of "London Bridge," sometimes making up his own lyrics to describe said materials. Sebastian later reveals that this song, combined with the music Drossel plays, is used to control the dolls he makes.

About 400 years before the main storyline, Edward was the king of England. However, shortly after his crowning, Edward and his younger brother Richard were locked in the Tower of London. They had a doorman who checked on them and promised they would be safe, but later let in Richard's and Edward's murderers. This is the reason why Edward detests liars.
The murderers struck down Edward first, and while still barely alive, he watched them kill Richard, whose cries distressed him greatly, because he could not go to his aid. After they died, the murderers threw their bodies into the river, where their flesh and bones eventually disintegrated.

At some point after their murders, their ghosts went to the castle of Ladorla to reside, because that is where they spent time when they were younger.

He is a bit of a hypocrite, hating liars and cheaters, yet using his ability to manipulate the shape of chess pieces to win a game. When contested about much of anything, he easily becomes angry. He loves and cares about his brother very much, and becomes extremely distressed whenever Richard is upset. Part of the reason they stayed in the castle for so long is because he did not want to force Richard to give him his skull, lest he upset his younger brother.

At some point after their murders, they returned to the castle of Ladorla as ghosts, because they had spent time there when young.

He loves his brother very much, and looks to him for protection. He is also quite fond of Sebastian Michaelis, as he is shown following him around and he also hugs Sebastian before departing.
He has an odd habit of carrying around a skull and talking to it. He is highly possessive of it, calling it "special," and refuses to share whose skull it is. Edward later says it is his own, but Richard states that it actually belongs to an unnamed "pitiful" person. He has apparently been carrying the skull around for 200 years.
