 She was crouched down low, belly dragging against the cool dirt. Her movements were clumsy as she shuffled her feet along, trying to stay low. Except her tail kept wagging furiously. And it was very difficult for Evening Storm to stay quiet as she giggled. Her current target was in sight: Large Fat Bug. He was a tricky one, waddling quickly whenever she got close. And turning scornful eyes - okay she really didn't see the eyes - on her. Evie would freeze, pretending not to notice Large Fat Bug. And then creep along and freeze again.
Until she was close enough....and pounce! A happy yip of delight escaped as she captured Large Fat Bug. Triumphantly, she picked it up and pranced around. Until Large Fat Bug pinched her.
"Owwieeeee!" She yelped, dropping her prize and growling at it. Large Fat Bug threatened to pinch her again, making the pup jump back before he went scampering away.
"Stoopid bug!" Evie huffed, turning to see if anyone had been watching the whole scene. Her ears perked up, and she grinned, bounding over to her sister. "Sky! Did ya see that bug?" She didn't give her sister much chance to respond before she tackled her.

 Clear Sky had been watching her sister the whole time. Evening Storm was her best friend. Actually her only friend. She had yet to meet another wolf besides her immediate family. A small smile touched her face as her sister had crouched low to the ground with her tail wagging so very much. It was a sight to see. She wasn't one to play like that, indecision gripped her at every turn and sometimes visions confused her. There was no control over them but she was lucky that they were few and far between.
Sky covered her eyes with her paw as the fat bug pinched Evie. Her back shook with laughter that she tried to hold in but was unsuccessful. "I did Evie." She openly laughed, her paw lowered back to the ground. Before she knew it, she was tackled to the ground. Her sister on top of her. She got some of the wind knocked out of her and she wiggled underneath.
"Your crushing me!" Sky was just joking of course as she faked herself choking and then flopped pretend dead on the ground. One purple eye peeked open slightly to see Evie's reaction.

The wolf pup was giggling and she just flopped on top of her sister and tugged at her ear playfully. At least until Sky stopped moving. Evie tilted her head, glancing down at her sister and best friend. "Sky...?" Her nose twitched and she stuck her face into Sky's fur curiously. Rolling off the top of her sister, Evie crouched down in front of Sky, pressed against the ground. "Yer just fakin' it!" A pause. "Right?"
Oh this would be bad if she had hurt Sky! Momma would probably scold her. Again.
"Sky~!" Evie whined, inching forward to touch noses with her sister, ears falling a little. She lifted a paw and patted Sky on the head, another whine escaping.

Sky tried to hold it in. She really did but it was just too hard. Poor Evie actually thought she was hurt. She couldn't take it anymore and didn't want her sister to worry too much. Her eyes popped open and she grinned up at Evie. "I was just faking it silly." She laughed as she got up onto her paws.
Even though they were just playing, she didn't want Evie to be scared about anything. Mommy wouldn't be happy if something happened. She nuzzled her sister affectionately. "I didn't mean to scare you Evie. Let's play a game or something!" Her eyes brightened at the thought. Surely her sister would love to play a game. Evie was the thinker of the two, or so Sky thought. She didn't really make too much decisions.

Even her tail slowed to a slight twitch instead of a wag. "Sky?" She whined softly. And then Sky was laughing and grinning and faking it. Evie yipped, tail speeding up once again as she slithered forward to rub her cheek against her sisters. "You scared me!" The pup admitted. She was supposed to be the tough one! The one that protected her sister from any wolves that picked on her. Or so she thought.
Getting to her feet, Evie licked Sky's snout before sitting. "S'all right. I'd have dun it too." She giggled and her eyes brightened just like Sky's. "Yes! Let's play tag! Or we can go on's a scavenger hunt." Not that she knew exactly what that meant. Just that she'd heard it before while curled up with momma and Sky.
"Whacha wanna play, Sky?"
