Somehow my quick sketches get better even though I rarely do anything.
Maybe I've just got a better eye for things than I used to? :/ Whatever the case it's nice to not hate everything I draw. (just most of them, lololo)

Thanks. : D I really wish I could actually finish my drawings, those itty bitty details are dream killers. I'm working on this one thing and it's like, crap.... I have to draw our all the finer details of this. Screws, bolts, eyes, clothes, hair, gender..... D:

Details are in most cases what really makes a character shine. I understand where you're coming from. Sometimes i'll draw for hours trying to find out what kind of details I need until it feels right... and even than I take breaks and think about it while i'm out with fam or at work, or doing laundry or something. emotion_c8
I'm still working on Albel. Adding, taking away... all kinds of interesting small things like the way bandages are wrapped, the expression in his eyes... It helps to look at some of your favorite characters too and just look at their over all character make up and where the wrinkles are in their clothing etc.

@Roland: This character is plenty androgynous, but I really want a set gender on them. :/
@Brase: Definitely. I've been pouring my brain juices into this second robot. The first one was tiny, simple, and cute. But this second one, it's... it's gonna be magnificent. emotion_donotwant I will settle for nothing less than my own stamp of approval.
Those wraps sound hard 'n stuff. D: Have you tried wrapping a vacuum or something for reference? My general thing is if it looks wrong upside down I need to correct it some more from that angle. When I flip it back around it always looks better. : D

That's a very good idea. sweatdrop I should do that. Thanks for the idea. I am sure doing so will help me out immensely.
I'm not sure if I mentioned it before. I may have, but robots are by far one of my most favorite things to draw. I am glad you're enjoying drawing them. Can't wait to see em'! I'm still working on story board. I'm gonna get one of those huge boards I can put ideas on. I wonder how much it would cost. x.x
