Seriously ... it's easy ... like ...
Expand and Simplify: 2(5x + 4)(3x - 7) + (6x + 5y)(x - 3y)
... but now I feel the need to take excessive amounts of aspirin ...

... I needed ibuprofin again today ... I'm not sure if it's math or just that the portable we were in was insanely hot... I complained to our uber-high-energy teacher... but he did nothing gonk

We're learning that in math right now too...And we were in a portable wing, but it was really cold...I could almost see my breath!
We're supposed to show all our work...
But I don't show any of it...

The answer for the simplify part is: 2(8x-3)+(7x+2y), or 2(15x-3+2y). The expand part I don't really understand too well.

Super_Chihuahua We're learning that in math right now too...And we were in a portable wing, but it was really cold...I could almost see my breath! We're supposed to show all our work... But I don't show any of it... We do our math work in the main building, but we are learning how to do ratio problems. I am so far ahead of that that I just skip ahead and read some tougher problems near the back of the book. Then I get better problems like: 26P14 and stuff like that.

Instead most of us sit there and drool. And then we get worksheets. We almost never work out of the book, heh!

I almost never get worksheets, and we almost always work out of the book! xd And to explain the equation that I just posted, you need to do 26! and 14!, and then put 26!/14! and you have the answer for P.

The answer for the simplify part is: 2(8x-3)+(7x+2y), or 2(15x-3+2y). The expand part I don't really understand too well. Actually, you'd need to multiply the 2 into the first bracketed thing before doing the adding The expand part is "FOIL"-ing the bracketed numbers 2( 15x^2-23x-28 ) +( 6x^2-13xy-15y^2 ) Then multiplying the 2 into the first bracketed trinomial (at which point you can get rid of the brackets) 30x^2-46x-56+6x^2-13xy-15y^2 The simplify is collecting like terms Answer= 36x^2-46x-56-13xy-15y^2 (the blah blah ^2 means whatever-it-is squared)

Sanity is lost, captive to the math that consumes her mind...The chains are so tight, but she doesn't see them...It's time to give a name to those chains:
HER MATH TEACHER.
