Valdien tossed his head, the half-cloak draped around his neck settling around his shoulders, covering the base of his multi-hued wings. If he won, he'd get stronger and would be able to protect the Greater Herd even more than he could now!

Valdien rears up onto his hind legs, lunging forwards towards Kai. He lowers his head as he charges, attacking the smaller stallion, trumpeting a loud cry.

Valdien easily side-stepped the too-eager stallion's advance, his blue eyes shining with mirth. He was actually enjoying this! It had been a while since he had battled for fun and not for his life or the lives of those he was sworn to protect.
With a loud bugle, Valdien snapped his wings open, pushing off of the ground with his powerful haunches. He skimmed low over the ground, ducking his head to take a large branch between his powerful jaws. The stallion climbed higher and higher into the skies, then without a sound, he folded his wings to his flanks.
He fell in an uncontrolled dive, spiraling dangerously fast down towards the hard ground. With a sound like thunder, the older Azrein opened his wings, letting go of the branch simultaneously, just as he was over Kai. He let out a triumphant whinny, praying that the Sky Drop would hit it's target.

T.T Kai Raced to Dodge the near lethal attack. Legs don't fail me now!
Kai zoomed out of the way as the branch shattered on the ground sending splinters flying. One dug into a nearby tree astounding Kai. That would have hurt so bad!
