She raced across the rolling waves that crashed into the shore, really she was dancing. Her movements graceful, as she danced a dance, that had been long forgotten, from a pride that no longer existed, for her loved ones whom she missed greatly.
But this dance didnt make her chest ache with sorrow, but with a deep happiness that she seemed to shine. Her laughter echoed out as the foam of the sea was caught in her tail tuff, she paused for a moment, and laughed. A pure sound of happiness.

He had caught her scent someways back, and was just now beginning to catch up with her. His heart was racing, and his mind was completely flustered but it didn't matter. He had found her again! He'd longed to see her once again, but until now his prayers had been left unanswered. But this morning - a swift wind awoke him and her scent was within it.
Now as he got closer he could see her, and he nearly jumped with excitement. As he dashed towards her, he got caught up in the moment, watching her dance. It was cute to see her so out of the element he had first met her in. From a secluded lioness to this free spirit ... He chuckled lightly before taking a step forward and speaking up.
"Having a bit of fun are we?" He smiled.

The sound of his voice scared the pleasure right out of her! She spun around, shackles rose and ready to bear her fangs before it clicked in her mind of who the voice actually belonged to.
A friend.
She relaxed instantly and smiled at him, before blushing as she realized he must have seen her. "Yes, I was.." She said playfully.

Normally he would have taken a step back at an angry female, but he knew this one. She could hardly find her own voice, how was she going to find the will to rip his throat out?
"Well if that's the case, why would you let me stop you? It looks like you were having a good time." He purred his answer, allowing his tail to slop lazily from side to side as he spoke. "Gotten some good news lately?"

Her tail flickered behind her as she smiled and shook her head, dual colored eyes dancing with laughter. "I was, and no, nothing new lately really." She smiled.
"Weell, cept a visit from you is good news!" She playfully swatted water in his direction.

Drakma chuckled lightly at Chandra as the water hit him on his front paws. "Well yes, I was excited when I caught your scent this morning, I thought it would be worth a quick outing to see you!" Adjusting his stance, he poofed out his chest and purred a bit. "Now about that dance, why not show me the rest of it?" Taking a step forward he smiled easily at her, knowing that she wouldn't shy away from him again. "It seemed like you were really into it, and it was nice to see you being ... " Drakma paused, unsure of exactly what word he really wanted to use in this scenario. "Hmm, well I don't really know what word I intended to use there. My point is, your dance was kinda of cute."

She couldnt help herself but to smile, she ducked her head to hide a blush at his words. Oh she felt something she hadnt in so long, and being around him made it shine out even more than before.
"Cute?" She shook her head, letting her purple tuff fall into her eyes. "Its a dance that had been taught in my pride for longer than anyone can remember..But only to select females." She nodded her head, only to those who bore a coat like hers, who honored the giraffe.

"Yes, C-U-T-E! You act like you've never heard the word before silly." He laughed as he listened to her explain how the dance had come about. "Ah reliving your past huh? I do that sometimes to, but I guess my way is a little weirder." He shrugged his shoulders, maintaining his smile. "Select females you say? What was so special about them - and apparently you - if you don't mind my asking."

She paused for a minute, she never spoke about her past, of what of it she could remember. Her mind always grew foggy when she thought on it to long, as if it were trying to protect her from something..but what she wasnt sure.
"My pelt, my sisters is the same..Our pride honored the Giraffe for being wise and patient. My sister and I were the last to be born with pelts like ours in several generations..We were lucky the dance had not been lost or forgotten."

"I'll have to take your word for it." He smiled still holding eye contact with her. "I've never actually met a giraffe to place must thought into their minds." As the sun crested from behind a cloud, Drakma quickly rolled over onto his back to allow the rays to shine onto his belly. "Perhaps lucky isn't the word. Maybe you were blessed by the spirit of the giraffe? Your pelt is quite striking, perhaps ... you and your sister are the embodiments of the spirit?" He shrugged, allowing his tongue to loll from his mouth a moment. "It's just a thought, but I think it might be true. You're wise! Wise to not befriend a lion before you know his secrets! And you're patient - Patient enough to get to know and deal with a sap like me." Drakma smiled, rolling from his back and onto his feet once again, closing the distance between them.
"Come to think of it, maybe its not just a thought after all." He purred, his tail making trails in the sand once more.

She watched him roll onto his back to soak in some rays of the sun, she couldnt help but smile and shake her head with a playful roll of her eyes. "You might be right actually..But if you think I am any of those things, than my sister Berj is even more so than I." She wrinkled her nose for a second, before she watching him come in closer, she let out a gentle purr, as she took a few steps to run the length of her against his side.

Drakma soon followed Chanda into her gentle purring, completely absorbed in the moment.
"Well then, I think we'll have to agree to disagree." He smiled allowing his tail to swing from side to side in contentedness. "At least until I get to meet this sister of yours." Turning his head to meet her eyes he gave her a slight wink.
"I'm only kidding. He purred looking up into the sky once more with a wide smile pasted across his maw.

"You want to meet my sister? Berj would most likely enjoy that.." She said with a soft smile, she loved her sister a great deal and thought of her often. "She would like you, shes different than myself but we fit." She said with a nod of her head.
She nuzzled his shoulder gently. "She lives in a pride a good distance from here, the Ela I believe its called..or something." She shrugged her shoulders.

"Well the two of you are twins, you may share the same body, but I would never go as far as to think you both the same." He nodded matter of factly, "But I suppose if the timing were right, meeting your family would be a privilege. You speak very highly of them, it must be hard to live so far apart." Staring up at the sky he continued his small monologue.
"But the heart has its own ways of dealing with these things. Perhaps the pain you share for being apart, is different from the pain I share of being alone."

Her heart melted a little bit as she mentally went 'Awwwwww~!!!' but instead she simply tilted her head and then proceed to pounce onto him, nuzzling his cheek before giving his muzzle a light lick. "You are never alone!" She huffed at him for a second before she nuzzled into his mane and purred at him. "I will always be with you." She said in a rather serious tone.
