There was no doubt that the reserve they'd been given was... at least adequate for holding the former four clans. Where War was, the beginnings of a forest could be seen from the air -- a start, if little else. Senga gave his wings another powerful flap, hovering in the thick darkness and murky twilight that seemed to swallow the sky whole. It was... easier to travel through flight as opposed to walking, with so many clan-members on the ground and so little in the air above. Of course, the survivors of War sometimes shared his preferred idea of travel, but past called out greetings and short flights together, they were little trouble at all. The communal tent that they all shared now was a centerpiece below, but Senga had little inclination to return to it just yet.

No, instead he supposed he would explore.

Rumbling quietly at the idea, Senga arched his wings and dove; even his wings ached after too long spent in the air, and if he were to continue simply hovering, they would grow even more persistent in demanding that he land. Soon enough, the ground came to greet him; a dark, narrow dirt path just beyond what he might have considered the invisible outskirts of War's territory here in the reserve. Despite his natural inclination to avoid any and all things that could provoke social encounters, wandering the reserve had become a favored, if not entirely enjoyable pastime when he wasn't working or sparring with his sister or Jay. The bare skeletons of future endeavors were finally beginning to show, and despite all of the better judgement in his book, Senga couldn't stay away.

Pushing back the hood of the pelt, the young executioner shook out his head, wings following in suit, almost as a mimic of the creature the fur had come from. The day was growing long, and worse yet boring. It seemed as though unless he was working on tasks to revive the clan, there was nothing at all to do. At least not today. Senga rumbled in mild irritation and flapped his wings, taking a soaring leap through the air along the paths that were scattered in between the four territories of the different clans.

Senga rumbled quietly, skulls rattling hollowly together as he took another long leap.

Maybe with any luck at all, something interesting would happen soon.

The sounds were creeping her out a little.

Well, actually it had been an interesting last few weeks since she came to the reserve - first she was made to live in a small corner of a communal home with the others like herself, and then she was requested to get her hands dirty and work on things she was not used to. Then she was requested to find things like water and trees. . . and then she helped her friend build a trinket. It was safe to say that Hua Lifen was tired. But, it was a good tired - the kind that comes after a ton of hard work and determination and picking up probably near a billion rocks.

She had decided to get out of the main area, letting the early evening forest engulf her for just a little bit - take her shoes off and just relax. Away from everything, and everyone, and just be at peace with herself. Of course, the moment she felt her shoulders drop a little, and her mind settling, ignoring the whispers and snips that the voices in the back of her mind, the sounds outside of her head started to rustle up the leaves around her.

It didn't even have much rhyme or rhythm, like as if something small was chasing the remains of a minipet, kind of like when Mengyao's minipets played with Fluffy. Taking to her feet again, she lifted her hands defensively, mismatched eyes scanning the area as well as she could, hoping to find the origins of whatever felt like spooking her on this evening.

Clearing her throat, she attempted to trust her voice, eyes raised high to the leaves, hoping to spook whatever it was away.

"Hello?" She came out with, her voice soft and almost small. She really should have brought someone here, shouldn't have she.

Senga had been in mid-leap when the word had come out of the blue, an echo out of the emptiness of the neutral parts of the reserve.

"Hello?"

The sound was distinctively feminine, and Senga dropped to the ground quick as lightning, his wings snapping shut as cold air swallowed him whole on his descent down to the shadows below. He could see her from here now; a pale, ghostly figure standing out against the mundane world all around. His wings rustled quietly, only adding to the rustle of leaves and the whisper of sound. He knew quick enough that she was a Conquest horsewoman. They seemed, after all, to have an affinity with long sleeves and ornate, fascinating accessories that kept each and every one of them foreign and unique all at once.

Perched quietly under the shade of trees too small to resemble those of War, and just large enough to conceal him comfortably, Senga juggled his options. It was easy enough, simple enough just to sneak off, to return to aimless wandering. It was more difficult to reciprocate the hello directed at no one in particular. It was more difficult to be social, something Senga had never been very educated in, despite his clans strong sense of community. In that one respect, he could be easily considered a black sheep; someone silent where most clan-members were bold and loud. Senga hummed and rustled his wings again, and quietly, tentatively, he opened his mouth and returned the call.

"Hello."

It was a simple word, but still one so strange and foreign on his lips. Ruffling his wings, the War executioner stepped forward, perching just on the edge of the shadows where Lifen could spot the white pelt easily. His wings angled out, stretching with pleasure. Though the War tent was filled with many winged clan-members, it was rather difficult to stretch the large appendages out easily unless one wished to knock another out. Even outside, it was rather troublesome to stretch them fully without knocking over something or someone.

Senga hummed quietly as he inspected Lifen a little closer, tilting his head to to the side and pushing the hood of his pelt back to reveal tawny hair. The skulls clicked hollowly together against his hips, a sound that nearly always gave away his presence to others familiar with his ways. Peering at the Conquest noble, Senga held his breath for a moment, considering his words carefully. He wasn't... exactly the best with being grandiloquent after all, a trait other clans seemed far more enthusiastic to possess.

"Are you alright? I'm sorry if I... interrupted you." It was a simple, curious question. Lifen's voice was tiny, not at all like those of the women from War. Was she afraid, was she alone? Senga turned his head, examining the space around them for evidence of any other visitor. But it seemed as though she'd brought no company, and a part of him was relieved. One horsewoman was enough for now. And she was certainly a fascinating one too.

"Hello."

It was a simple word, but it made the Conquest woman soften up a little, her defensive stature slacking a little, fists softening up, but did not completely fall to her side again. It was foolish to leave herslef so open, even if the voice seemed . . . neutral. A little timid and uncertain at the same time, but these were undertones she was trained to pick up, as an entertainer. Whomever this was, they didn't sound like they owned the word, it was foreign to them, which made the artisan purse her lips a little, eyebrows raising.

Exhaling the breath she was not aware that she was holding, she tried to find the owner of the voice, her mis-matched eyes glancing through the thicket around her. A couple times she had assumed she caught sight of him, a fey wind tricking her eyes - the sound of bone on bone did not help. It wasn't until she settled down, hoping a moment's repriese from the dancing around that she caught him. Well - maybe.

It looked well enough like one of her own, a white mark between the quiet and dark wood that stood between them, and squinting softly she tried to get a clear look of him, daring to take a few steps forward, to flush him out. His bones were challenged with her bells that she wore on her person.

Hearing his second statement, she couldn't help but allow a small smile to escape from her lips.

"I am fine. Thank you for your consideration. . ." She offered to the voice. She couldn't help her quiet voice, it was just the way she was. "You could say that I was taking a small stroll. May I know who is out there?" She dared. Hopefully the other would show their face, if asked nicely.

The Conquest horsewoman was very - ah, - fascinating.

That was the only word Senga could find suitable from his place near the shadows, wings tilted open slightly to catch the drifting breeze. He had seen some of the Conquest horsemen milling about near their tents, but up close, the details of this one seemed eye-catching and ethereal. Where War was concerned, clothing was only worn if it did not get in the way, and if it served a purpose apart from keeping them at least somewhat respectable in public. He always found himself fascinated by Conquest's long, flowing garments, never understanding their purpose apart from the aesthetic pleasure they brought.

Compared to her, he must have looked like a savage.

Does that worry you? One of the voices in his head murmured quietly, and he shook it away. Do you feel out of place? The wolf growled quietly, but the voices were inside, far away from being touched by physical hands. Exhaling quietly, Senga listened to the sound of her voice, the skulls clicking hollowly together as he moved, not bothering to keep himself concealed in the shadows much longer than he had to. Pressing his lips together, he thought about what he could say - what he should say.

"Hmmmm." The sound was quiet and comfortable in his throat, and giving a gentle flap of his wings, he stepped forward out of the shadows and into her sight. His skulls clicked hollowly together, a sound that seemed to soothe his tightly wound nerves. "I am Senga." He introduced quietly, for it seemed the only logical thing to do. "I was - taking a small stroll as well... though through the air instead." His wings fluttered and folded, tawny feathers nearly iridescent under the hazy moon. He imagined that his appearance would give the Clan he was from away, and instead of offering more information on himself, bowed his head slightly to the Conquest woman, gold eyes watchful and curious, hesitant and calm. There was no threat here. Not now at least.

Absently, he traced a grey fissure on the palm of his hand, wings rustling gently. The sound of bells was strangely pleasant, and he glanced her up and down, curiosity outweighing the discomfort of encounters in the night. "Who are you?" He inquired, his tone void of anything but placid interest and self-restraint. He was always unsure how to act around other Clans, and this one in particular. But she seemed nice enough, and his night was not going anywhere fast at all.
