It was time to hunt down 'The Nerd'. Since most of The Nerd's natural habitat has been pretty much limited to a few different places Jude had decided to wander to the barracks and try his luck there. He also had a tail in form of Ariane following him. She was supposed to assist him in the search but he doubted she was doing anything of the sort.
It wouldn't take him long before he caught sight of Deryk, "Hey! Ari and I are goin' on a bit of a break, you wanna come with?"
...Please come with. Please? Pretty Please? Jude felt that he needed an adult for any sort of long term trip with Ariane.

Luckily for Jude, Deryk was indeed in the barracks, just sort of relaxing. Or trying to. He missed his bed. It was much easier to relax there. Hearing Jude's voice, he sat up from the cot, turning towards the fellow death trainee.
"Oh? Using your days off? .. Yes. This sounds very good. Could use a break. Very much so. Count me in!" he said while hopping up to his feet.
"Where we going? Probably should pack some stuff... Make sure got money. Any details?"

"CHICAGO FOR THE WEEKEND! Sushi at an exotic sushi place," She cut in, grinning as she sighed happily, "And then a night at the Four Seasons Hotel. Suite room, separate beds... All paid for by Jude! Isn't he generous? Of course, we might need to chip in for the meals..." Her grin widened as her gaze landed on two other blondes who were oh-so-conveniently around, "Jeremy, Otto, you up for a vacation too, hm?"
Jeremy was a friend, and she did miss spending time with him even if she wouldn't outright admit it. Otto... Well, Otto was like free live entertainment, just in case they run out of money before the end of the trip.

Normally, Otto would ignore all the banter that surrounded him while resting up in the barracks. Resting wasn't the right word, really. There was no real rest here. Because of that, the conversation happening nearby had his attention. An all paid for weekend away? Otto was jealous. However, a familiar voice soon called to him, inviting him on this vacation.
He rolled over from the top bunk, peeking over the edge at the watermelon haired girl he disliked.
Oh no. Ariane and her blonde army. Looked like she wanted him in her harem too. Still, fully paid vacation? Any excuse to get out of this place was good enough for him. "Fine. I'm in." He grumbled from above.

Vacation? You had to actually work to get a Vacation. To date, all Jeremy had done was mope; it was a wonder that nobody had killed him yet, really. So while he didn't deserve the vacation she was proposing - an amazing vacation actually, complete with sushi! - was too good to pass up, and when the spotlight was turned on him he grinned widely.
"Hey man~" Otto was greeted briefly before Ariane had his attention; after all, he'd known Ariane most of his life, so she could wait. "Count me i---" His smile faltered and he paused, looking awkward for a moment before looking down at Ariane. "Err, I dunno, something's missing." The blonde shifted a bit in discomfort, trying to figure out just what was missing from this scenario. Hrrm, hrrmmm-----Ah!
"Aren't you supposed to trick me into trips like this?" Ariane received a skeptical look.

Then Ariane invited two bums into the 'vacation' and Jude tilted his head over toward her before he glanced over at the other two with a bit of a nod. Yeah. Sure. More the merrier. Maybe the extra 'meat' will distract Ariane from bothering him and Deryk all the time.
...Probably not.
"Well I might be gettin' paid but I'm not exactly a Rockefeller," he said with a small shrug, "so chipping in for meals would be a nice gesture."
He wasn't going to mention the bet he lost. Jude just hoped he had enough for it all in general.

"Trick you?" She pretended to look hurt, looking at Jeremy like she had just accused her of something that she would never do, one hand on her chest, "Why would you even say such a thing?" She did subtly pointed to Jude with a thumb though - she already tricked one sucker. Jeremy's off the hook... For now.
"Well then, pack your bags, and take your money," She grinned, rubbing her hands together, "We're going to Chicago for the weekend... Meet you guys outside the main building?"

"Chicago? Cool! Hadn't been there before. Should be interesting," Deryk grinned. He glanced briefly to the others that were to come along, pausing as Otto was tagging with as well. Maybe he won't be as much of a jerk this time.
"Alright. See you there!"
After he had packed for the weekend, as well as changing into civilian clothing, the trainee made his way to outside the main building to meet up with the others.

A weekend trip to Chicago. Surrounded by people. Honestly, Otto wanted a vacation alone by himself. However, with everyone chipping in, this seemed much more affordable. Besides, this also meant a Hotel, which meant sleeping in a real bed again.
Otto hopped off the bed, and left to gather what little belongings he could get hold of.
After some time, he was also outside the main building, appreciating the feeling of being in his street clothes and not in a hunter's jacket. No mission, no fighting. Just sleep, food and sunshine.
