Zelia sighed. She had given up trying to walk and was laying down in a clearing in some forest. She assumed Ryo wasn't too far away, but she really couldn't tell. It had been two weeks sense she insisted on putting on the blind fold and she had yet to get accustomed to it. It had been three weeks sense her daughters disappearance. Contemplating her predicament had made her think of her sweet Marnie. And once again the blind fold started to accumulate her tears. It had been a week since she stopped making noise when she cried, but she still did it often.
Of course Ryo had tried to persuade her not to endever this path, claiming Marnie would not have wanted her mother to suffer needlessly. But Zelia had persisted. Why should she see the things her daughter no longer could? She had asked herself many times that week before she made her final desicion. It hadnt been hard for her human to find a cloth to wrap around her eyes. The hard part was learning how to use her other senses not to walk into the lake or into a bush.
She sighed again, the wind sighing with her as it tried to remove a strand of hair that had been tied down with the blind fold. She would just wait here till Ryo could find her and take her home. Or until something else happened.

burning_eyes Harumi was walking about she has been blind for a month and a half so she is use to walking about without sight as she stops feeling the breeze on her legs but something is blocking it. "Is someone there?" She asked as she stands a foot away from the mare that is laying down. Not knowing if she will get an answer or not. Some Soquili don't answer her. They just move as if talking to her will cause them to go blind as well. She sighs as she listens hearing movement. Maybe someone is there but sleeping. Maybe she should just go around.
She shifts her weight a bit as she waits for awhile longer just in case. Who knows the Soquili in her way might be sad or need help and seeing she loves to please others then she will stand her ground and wait until the other answers before she moves around for something else like that.

((Why Karas eyes burn xD?))
Zelia stiffened as she heard a soquili speak. She had been lost in reminisce and had missed the sound of hoof beats. Fear jolted through her for a second. Imagination running wild as she thought of what could have happened if the soquili had not announced itself and had wanted to harm her. She was determined not to leave her mate, or other child by themselves, without her. She sucked in a breath and held it for a moment. What she really needed was to master this blind fold so she could be prepared for a horse that would not announce itself.
She turned her head to the direction the voice had come from. Though she was a little off in her attempt, the soquili would still be able to hear her. "Oh, I'm sorry." Her voice soft, in case the other was a little skiddish, you never know now-a-days. "I was....resting. Excuse the blind fold. I have just acquired it had have not quite mastered it." It wasn't till after the words left her mouth that she realized admitting that might be a bad thing. If this soquili wanted to hurt her, it now knew she had a weakness. But she relaxed a little, she was getting nervous at nothing, she knew. The soquili had announced herself and her voice had been nice. But just in case, Zelia readied her muscles in the need of a quick stance and leap away.

((No daughter was on lap and hit the button I guess. I didn't notice lol)) "Blind fold? So are you blind" Harumi wonders a bit as this would be a first to meet another blind soquili. She ponders would she can help another who can't see. "Oh yes blind folds are hard to work with. Though mine is to cover my eyes after they were sliced with cuts so I am blind and had been for about a six weeks now. And yes it takes time to get use to using your other senses when one can't see. I might be able to help you out a bit if you don't mind." She smiles thinking that she can be of help after all.
"Oh my name is Harumi and I am use to this area very well. But once you get use to an area it is easier to stay in that area then wander about into unknown areas. Though it can be done."

Zelia listened to the other mare. Her head drooping to almost touch the ground as she felt a little bad that this mare was actually blind, and that she had made the choice to do this. Even more so that she could take off the blind fold and be exactly as she was before she had doned it. Well, not exactly the same.... She would never be the same again, not till she had her daughter back.
"My name is Zelia. And as hard as it may seem to believe.... I am not blind, I have made the choice to restrict my sight." She felt she owed a little something to this mare. At least an explination of why she would do such a thing. "You see, my daughter went missing while I was supposed to watch her. And I feel it unfair to see all the sights she can no longer see...." She lowered her voice, little more then a whisper. "That is why I choose to restrict my eyes...." She lifted her head, hoping not to hear any sneers or signs of resentment.

"You are brave then. To willingly take away your sight and put yourself in danger and through the hardships it takes to be without sight. But you will be stronger in the end from all of this. I also hope your daughter is found soon. I have no little ones and I still question if I ever should. Seeing I wouldn't be able to watch over them." She bows to the mare knowing that she can't be seen but it is a habit that she isn't able to break herself from. Thinking about it as she wonders if this mare would like her help or not.
"If you don't mind. I am still willing to help you. After all a little help can go a long way. So teaching you how to read the breezes to tell if something is in your way would help you avoid trees and rocks. Listening closely helps with lakes, ponds, and rivers as well as telling when danger is near like wolves and bears." She points out.

Zelia stared at the mare, or at least, listened intently with her muzzle presumably facing the mare. This mare had not scorned her or teased her. She had praised her for the decision she had made. She gave a soft smile as she talked of foals. "Majority usually do not want foals till they have them." She smiled warmly, thinking of the joy she had had with her foals, even though others had thought them odd. The overwhelming joy had let her see past their oddities and see the warmth within them. Even her son, who seemed to grow odder by the day.
"But you are wise to know your limitations. Though I am sure you could find a stallion to help you." She remembered the comment Harumi had made, about cuts that had blinded her and wondered if possibly she had found a stallion and had wronged her. She stood up then, ready and willing to accept the help Harumi had offered. "I would love if you teach me. I seem to be having little luck trying to learn on my own." Smiling gently as the wind blew warmly around her.

"I would love to teach you all I know about getting along without sight." She thinks about how to answer the thing about a stallion. "Well finding a stallion might be hurt. I am not sure one would want to be with a blind mare. And if you are wondering my eyes were cut open by a stallion but no one I really knew. I got in a fight with two stallions. messed up my legs by one and got blinded by the other. No I was the one in the wrong not them." Her heart is to forgiving for her own good sometimes.
And as long as it is in order to please and make another happy she doesn't mind getting into trouble or being taken away. But that is just how she is. "When it is a breezy day like today feel the breeze with your whole body. Let the wind move your fur. If the wind isn't touching you somewhere then something is above in your path. So then stop and sway side to side a bit so you can feel where the wind hits you and where it doesn't. That will help you be able to find away around what is in front of you." She takes a deep breath before continuing a bit.
"When you get use to doing this slowly then you will be able to do it when running."
