QUEST FORM Basics :: xxxxxName: Briar xxxxxNickname(s): Bri xxxxxFaction: Diamonds xxxxxAge: Twenty one xxxxxHeight: 5’6” xxxxxBody Type: Slender and effeminate but still toned from work xxxxxBlood Type: O
Poké-basics :: xxxxxPokemon: Leafeon xxxxxPokemon type: Grass xxxxxNatural Ability: Leaf Guard -- Prevents problems with status in sunny weather. xxxxxPerma: Yes, perma Leafeon xxxxxMoveset:
Child xx Tackle xx Quick attack xx Helping hand xx Razor leaf
Teenager xx Razor leaf xx Quick attack xx Dig xx Synthesis
Adult xx Aerial Ace xx Grass whistle xx Leaf blade xx Sword dance
Personality :: xxxxxPositive Traits Mature Briar is rather mature for his age even for when he was a child (or somewhat as a kid). Learning to take responsibility of a life did give him good lessons that he takes to heart. Every action that he does he takes he is accountable for, watches everyone making sure that they are safe, and makes the decision that needs to be made to accomplish exactly what he wants in life. Mostly he tries to look things as a positive lesson to be learned for and gives advice from it if someone asked with kindness and loving care. It does make him a bit motherly for he takes into account of everyone he knew. He does take care of them and enjoys it very much. They are just little seeds that need the love and attention until they reached into full bloom. But sometimes others might see his kindness as a know it all and corrects them; very much of a nagging mom with a critical eye. He means well but he could be a wet blanket and turned out to become the nanny instead of a friend with a hankey in his pocket.
Enthusiastic In rain, sleet, or snow he doesn't stop working until his task is finish which is admirable to see or sometimes just plain crazy. He has an abundance of energy that Briar channels to his devoted task while having a bright smile on his face. After all, he provides raw vegetable, fruit, and eggs to all the factions and so he carries that on his shoulders well and so it does take dedication to get the perfect product. It does, however, keep him busy from any other fun activities but to him it is a lot of fun to have dirt on his knees and under his nails and not everyone likes to be dirty.
xxxxxNeutral Traits Modest He is the type who loves to help out others in need or for a good cause. Quite possibly number one on the most dependable person anyone could want on their side or at least just somewhere up there in comparison for he's not that frivolous. It just makes him happy to see others happy because he was a part of it which is good enough for him. To be honest, Briar feels awkward being in the limelight of things and rather pass on the praises to the other person who he believes is more worthy of it. It does make him more level headed and not conceited much but it also does create a friction with others and even frustrating too if it's gone on long enough. He doesn't see the things that he has done truly great because of his low self-esteem. While he loves working on the farm and all, it does feel quite impossible to keep it at the same level at what his caretaker had done over the years after hearing and seeing all of the praises despite the work he put into it. Briar doesn't feel it's enough although he feels rather content of life right now which is fine with him.
xxxxxNegative Traits Stubborn He's way more stubborn than a Tauros in Wonderland. While Briar is rather responsible he doesn't know his own limits and takes on task after task with a smile on his face. He doesn't stop until it's finish and doesn't even let a cold get in his way of his job. He's just a firm believer of work first and play later even though his play time really never comes around seeing the mountain of work he ends up having; a terrible workaholic in general. If someone were to tell him to stop he would simply smile and tell them not to worry about it over and over. He wouldn't let anyone stop him unless they actually carry the boy out of the field and lock him up at his home even though he ends up turning to be a humming bird trapped in the place. But sadly, that is the only thing that he knows what to do and his livelihood ever since he was founded and hatched there on the farm.
Worry wart Oh dear . . . he does try to keep it below the surface underneath that charming smile of his but his mind is going a mile per minute about the possibilities that may come about to those who he cares about dearly in his heart and of the farm. What if there is a terrible frost killing the crops? A friend who tripped and fell who's terribly hurt? A hurricane? A STAMPEDE OF SHEEP?! But more importantly his father who is an elderly Shiftry who he is always concerned about. It makes him absolutely nervous and jittery about the subjects. Briar hates to think about it but it's a force of habit because of the responsibility that he has on his shoulders which seems to never end; much like a nagging mom once again. But at least thinking about what could happen makes him think easily about the possibilities to fix them or to be ahead of the problems. Although this trait fully happens once he's in his teens since that's when he'll inherit the farm. But he'll worry about other's well-being while he's an infant.
xxxxxLikes: Gardening, the outdoors, warm sunny days, flowers, apples, and alpacas ;D (LOL) xxxxxDislikes: Fighting, violence, cold weather, meat, fire xxxxxFavourite Food: The sun! But on a cloudy day he likes a salad with light vinaigrette dressing. He’s a vegetarian so veggie and fruits are much loved. xxxxxHobbies: Flower arrangement, bird watching, and playing the grass/leaf whistle. xxxxxInterests: Herbal medicine and origami xxxxxFaction Opinion: “I love it here. It’s just so peaceful and the scenery is always picturesque. Quite perfect for a grass type like me <3” xxxxxAspirations: To feed everyone in Wonderland. No one should be starving or famish of hunger and also a full tummy is a happy tummy and there could be less fighting and violence. xxxxxFears: His main fear is the destruction of his farm. It’s his life and home given by his caretaker, Dmitri. If it’s gone then Briar doesn’t know what else to do with his life.
Employment:: xxxxxTitle: . . . . ( I need some help here please OTL) xxxxxJob: Farmer. He grows fruits and vegetables that are provided to the other factions around as well as raising chickens for fresh eggs and sheep for their wool and delivers them. And also he grows flowers and makes breathtaking flower arrangements for others too.
Appearance:: xxxxxHair: Honey blond. As a teen his hair is styled in a simple braid and draped over the shoulder. As an adult it's grown out long almost to his waist and in a messy french braid style with a pink ribbon as well as a couple of hairpins or a flower hairpin. Reference style for the bangs and hairpins french braid xxxxxEyes: Verdant green xxxxxSkin tone: Golden tan xxxxxPalette: Spring tones and shades of brown like the Pokemon. xxxxxClothing: I would try to make sketches but my printer/scanner broke so I hope you won't mind the collection of picture links. I imagine him in his teens wearing a tunic or peasant shirt with wide sleeves with some stitch design would be nice, thick brown belt around his hips just a little slanted to one side with a satchel on the belt, skinny trousers, finger-less gloves, and knee length laced up boots (inspired pic). As an adult he wears shorts with pocket leggings that is buttoned up to his work belt (reference pic it doesn't have to be exactly like this though design wise and such, just a visual concept). He wears a fitted sleeveless shirt that shows a small peek of his stomach. Over that is a shawl like jacket like this that is kept open. I had thought of him being like a whimsical farmer with the colors in the mix but I'm pretty much open minded to the outfit ideas too. xxxxxAdditional: He has a beauty mark under his right eye. And also the leaf on his head please~ And also what other little leaves around his wrists and ankles which is up to the artist.

Prompt 3
It had begun early even before the robins sang their song for the young adult named Briar; a Leafeon who was bright eyed and chipper as he walked about in his home in preparation for the day. He was dressed in the usual garb for work as he reached over to grab his jacket and also his work belt to strap along his hips. A small hum was heard as he thought to himself of what tasks that needs to be done such as gathering eggs from the hen house, pulling weeds, and harvests the root vegetables of that cold winter day. The verdant gijinka dislikes the season ever so but it doesn’t stop him from his work. Just what would Dmitri say about it to Briar? It made him stop just before the door in thoughts of his pass care taker with a small warm, yet forlorn smile on his face. The Shiftry while may be a bit of a crazy one (who isn’t really) but he has learned so much from him. He still misses him to this day but it shouldn’t stop Briar. “Work needs to be done or else it will never be done.” He chippers up once again and walked out into the cold.
Bundle up in his green jacket he went out to check on the chickens with a woven basket at hand. It was rowdy just as usual hearing all the chickens clucking as he reaches to gather the eggs. They were requested by the Spades and so he made sure that there were no imperfections on each and every egg. However, just as he was about to pick up the next one he heard a sudden loud sound which made him p***k his leafy ears up in alert. “What was that?” He jumped as he looked around to see what it could be. His train of thought ran a mile per second thinking of what it could be as he held the basket tightly against his chest. “W-what if it’s someone trying to eat my crops? Or a big scary creature going after m-my chickens? O-or me?!” Another loud sound was heard and startled every chicken in the small barn which made Briar shriek out in sudden fright! He crouch down to the ground with his body over the basket to protect it as the birds flew all around and all that he could see is a curtain of multi-color feathers showering above him.
Soon he was able to crawl out of the small barn right into the pen with his head low almost to the ground. He thought that maybe if he didn’t see whatever is outside maybe they won’t see him which is quite the weird logic. But soon Briar bumped into something which made the grass type jumped slightly. Slowly he lifted a hand up to feel just what the scary creature could be before him. It was indeed a creature . . . a very fluffy one and warm. It made him want to cuddle it for warmth. ‘Baa’ The creature let out a fierce roar! . . . Or so that is what he had expected to be. Instead, it was a rather cute call which calmed the verdant gijinka down from his craze thoughts and he looked up to see with bright green eyes in awe that it was not what he had expected at all. It was a fluffy white sheep gnawing on the cold grass in its mouth.
“A sheep? Why are you doing here?” He questioned not expecting an answer back for his attention has drastic change to see that there’s not just one sheep here. There’s a huge herd of sheep! They are everywhere on the farm eating up the grass and worse of all his crops! Briar jumped up onto his feet as he ran around seeing this whole plague of them eating his life away. “No no no no! Get away! Don’t eat the rutabagas! Those carrots are for the Spades! Hey! The carrots there are for the Hearts!!!” He yelled out at the top of his lungs pushing them away from the fields. But there’s just too many of them and only one very exhausted of him as he was heaving heavily puffs of cold air. He could feel the tears stinging his eyes because all of his work and Dmitri's life was being eaten away by the second. “What am I going to do?” Briar thought and thought and the longer he ponder in thought the more he began to swish his leafy tail back in forth which is a habit of his. As he continued on, the leafy pendulum has soon attracted the animalistic nature of a sheep stalking right behind him slowly. The verdant gijinka is poorly unaware of what was happening until . . . CHOMP.
“. . . . . . EEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!”
Briar shouted out in pain when his tail is now being eaten up as sheep food. He turned around and tugged his tail out of the sheep’s mouth. “I am not food for you!” But soon he has gained most of the attention of the other sheep nipping at the grass type. “Ouch! That’s my ear! Do I look like fodder to—Stop it!!!” The blonde soon burst through the fluffy pile and manages to climb up a tree in a secure branch above where he looked down to see a sea of fleece and the sheep are the shark. Luckily he had managed to stay in one piece except for some bruising on his ears and tail but still alive. “I need to get them out of here but where could they go?” He questioned out loud as his tail swished from one side to side again. It is at that moment he noticed the sheep were completely mesmerized by his tail; seeing their large bright and hungry eyes following his tail. An idea hatched in mind and thought that maybe he could lure them out of his farm. But to where he doesn’t know except for maybe some of the other farms could take them in. It is bountiful of wool that could dress the entire population of Wonderland plus extra. Still, it was tricky yet he had no choice.
Briar swing from the branches and landed in a clearing where the sheep stared at the Leafeon wondering what he was doing. With a gulp, he bends over slightly and wagged his leafy tail from side to side to attract the sheep to his direction. “H-here sheep. Come and get it.” A crazy idea but it had actually worked seeing now a sea of fleece following the young farmer out of his land and had travelled all around the Diamonds as if he was the Pied Piper himself. He had met all the other people who would want to take care of them which soon had dwindle down to a small group before him. Seeing the flock before him, Briar had no idea what to do and he couldn’t set them off into the wild knowing that they can reproduce and spread all over again. But the young gijinka smiled brightly and petted the head of one sheep. “Would you like to live with me? I have a small barn where you and your friends can live and keep away from the cold.” The sheep baa cheerfully which made him happy. “Although . . . your male friends would have to do one thing for me . . .” And small tilt of his head was seen as his green eyes glanced over at the bucks of the group. “Castration!”

Okay, let's get down to business! I like Briar a great deal, let me start there. I think he'll add a lot of diversity to the general population of boys, especially with his profession.
So that said, let me tell you what I see going on here, and what I think might need some tweaking or a little work.
Mature – Good trait, and I feel like this is important for a farmer. You've done a good side of setting up the drawbacks to this, but now I want to see the implications. You explain the drawbacks of his dedication to responsibility well in the next trait, but what you might want to think on is how his motherly/maternal tendencies might affect his friends: Do you think they might grow irritated at him trying to act like he knows what's best?
Hard-working – Now, I don't have a problem with the content of this trait, but the name doesn't seem to fit. Hard-working is definitely a part of this, but it seems like it goes beyond that: Briar seems to be very energetic and enthusiastic about his work, and it extends to more than just working hard. He likes working, but it's because he has the enthusiasm to deal with it. Maybe you could try changing the name?
Modest - Now, I see 'modest' as a positive trait, but I think modesty is important for this, the upside that makes this trait neutral. I'm gonna be straight with you, you've really written these first three traits in exactly the way I like to see quests done in the other style, the one with the trait pairs. I'm really not going to nitpick this for that reason, because you get the gist of a neutral trait.
Stubborn – Now, I think this is a great trait in its own right, but what I want you to think about it how it plays with Briar's maturity. If Briar were to get himself so sick from exposure that he was literally bedridden, what would happen? It wouldn't be very responsible of him to die of pneumonia, you know? I don't think this needs changing, but I want you to keep the contradiction in mind as you move forward. Stubbornness is rather child-like. Think about how the two might interplay.
Worry-wart – Now, this trait is pretty good in concept, but you include quite a few tidbits here and there that have very little to do with his worrying and sort of make me question what this trait is really about. His impulsiveness, for instance, really doesn't have much to do with worrying at all, and you don't even need to include it. I feel like it'd just be better to omit. I feel like this trait would do well if you focused it a little more on worrying.
There's actually not a WHOLE lot of work that needs to be done, here, nothing like changing any traits, just clarifications and revisions. I'll be back when you've touched things up!

Okay . . . so I hope I got everything down . . . from what I remembered > > /seppukus for killing chrome/
Mature is edit up a bit; Briar can be a wet blanket nanny with friends. Yay |:
Changed Hard-working to Enthusiasm since I think it works better.
Stubborn I changed as well since I believed I went a little overboard of it. I think it fits because Briar is a workaholic and rather works first then play later.
Worry wart I omit the impulsiveness and focus on the worrying factor. He just loves everything like a wet blanket nanny ; u;
I do think I'm still missing something but I just can't remember what else for the life of me =____________=;;; And yeah, I noticed that my mindset is basically like the other quest style so the next time I'll use that C:

And if you do remember it, you can just toss it in. I'm sure it'll be fine.
Also yeah, totally try it! I'm of the mind that's it's a lot of fun, and a whole lot easier to use, provided you can punch out a few trait pairs that make sense together.
That in mind, I'm approving this. Set up your journal when you can!
