Whats your fav starship
PostPosted: Thu Aug 19, 2004 6:23 am

Probably the MSC-07 Pegasus Class "Albion". It wasn't THE strongest warship, but the design was sleek and conservative. The Ra Cailum Class is nice too, but it's not as closely based on the old Trojan Horse as the Albion is.

I'm partial to the X-wing, myself. Sturdy, well-balanced, and well-armed... with multiple variations to suit most every pilot. Mayhap I'll see about getting Piyoko some sort of X-wing. >.>

Other faves include the Lambda shuttle and the YT-1300. domokun

P.S. My first post in this guild, wheee~

*digs through Battletech novels* My favorite ship would be the Cameron in this picture:

User Image

Keep in mind that it's something like 60Km long, I think. (may be more sweatdrop )

Wow someone else who reads mechwarrior. Yeah I would have to agree with you on Cameron. Oh and I froget where I saw it but it's called the Eclipse star destroyer. It's a combination between a Death star and a Super star destroyer.

I'm partial to my own ship. wink

User Image

It was supposed to be the Avantgarde flagship, but I've taken it along with me for my own ambitions.

Armaments: An array of cluster missle pods on each of the four 'wings'
Fourty dual barrel blaster turrets placed around the exterior of the ship, hidden until needed.
Three main cannons underneath the bow of the ship.

Crew: An assortment of one hundred pilots, engineers, repair men, and gunners.

Capacity: Amount enough for roughly 200 one-man fighters(but can hold larger ships)

This ship was a colaberation effort between the technicians and engineers of both AG and GV, and can best some of the more powerful capital ships in the Grand Vangargian armadas.

Lucky for Locke, I'm an ally. razz

I'm the Ambassador and also Captain of a ship as well...

That is my ship that I command.

It's type is an attack vessel...nothing fancy there, but watch for it's arnaments.

It's weapons and other are a little outworld in here, since we are ahead in technology, so were not willing to share our technology to this civilation, but we will show you how much power we have if you provoke us to attack.

This is my ships propulsions.

Three cochrane warp core feeding five warp nacelles; five subatomic unified energy impulse engines.

My ships arnaments

12 x Type XII Phaser arrays
2 x Pulse fire quantum torpedo tubes + 290 torpedoes

Type XII is considered the most powerful type of phasers that we have, but however this might change if we managed to improve on it.

Our Primary Hull

6 x Type XII Phaser arrays,
2 x Pulse fire quantum torpedo tubes + 115 torpedoes

Our ships Secondary Hull

4 x Type XII Phaser arrays
3 x Pulse fire quantum torpedo tubes + 175 torpedoes

Our Tetriary Hull

8 x Type XII Phaser arrays

This is our Defense Systems

Auto-modulated high capacity regenerative shield system, total capacity 3,915,000 TeraJoules
Heavy Duranium/Tritanium double hull plus 18 cm Ablative amour, High level Structural Integrity Field

And our Warp Capability

Normal Cruise : Warp Factor 8
Maximum Cruise : Warp Factor 9.9 in testing - engines still under development
Maximum Rated : Not yet established; expected to be Warp 9.99+

My ship can seperate into three parts that can be independently controlled, thus making my ship extremely dangerous if a ship managed to engage it.

But however, we won't engage anyone or anything not unless the enemy fires first or attempt to hail them first.

And also since we are in friendly terms, we will not attack since we are under regulations to not attack.

Heh. I prefer the Scramasax-class frigate.

It's a relatively small ship, crewable by three men (Though the typical complement is six, working in watches.) It has living qurters for nine, and is about the size of a Scorpion class submarine.

Conditions aren't much better, admittely- the food is excellent, but the Scramasax class is clearly a warship. It has two Pulse Arrays, the engines to run them, and the deflectors to get in close enough to use them. It also has two mass-driver PD cannons, for use against smaller fighters.

While not the biggest fish in the sea, the Scramasax class is fast. Mostly used for patrol and reconnaisance missions, the Scramasax was built to be mostly self supporting, requiring refuel and resupply a little over half as often as most ships of its size. Its weak armament and low armoring (outside the ability to redirect the Pule Coils to deflection) also suit it to hit and run tactics. Several Scramasax class frigates have fallen to various pirates for just this reason.

Scramasax may dock at any ship that can house ships larger than 20 meters, which includes many carriers of mecha.

Compared to a mecha, of course, the Scramasax seems woefully underarmed. That is, until you realize those two Pulse Cannons can puncture a Titan at two light-seconds, as long as you have a proper sight. This is where a Hubble Array comes into place...

Scramasax is a design, the property of the Terran Empire. All Scramasax under Terran Naval are to be given small weapon names. They have so proliferated in recent years taht they have reached for smaller, obscure lanuages of the past to name this class.

Blarg E Blarg's Personal Courier Ship- Modified Scramasax-class Frigate, Staff of Mercury

Defense: 1000
Agility: 1000

IFF Jam Pods
ECM Pods (CHAFF. Anti-Lock Pods?)
Flare Pods (IR Countermeasure)

Holds 12 people for two weeks or up to two tons of cargo for a much longer period of time.

.... So how much is this going to run me?

Any weapons? If so.. @_@ Things get really detailed here.

Weapon/Attack name:
Attack power: Usually between 1000 and... 4000~ish for most, common attacks. More if it's something much bigger, but very rarely any ships would have attacks that have more than 5000.
Weapon Range: ( On a grid map, how many grid spaces away you can attack. ) ie. 1 ~ 5 grid spaces.
Accuracy Bonus:
Critical Rate Bonus:
Terrain Bonus ( for Sky / Land / Water / Space ): Choose S, A, B, C, D, or - for each terrain. ie. S / A / C / A

I think that's it.. but.. @_@ Who knows. This thing's always very complicated.. Other than that, it looks good.

I used to play this Sci-Fi Action RPG that revolved entirely on ships, originally created for Macintosh, but the company went outside of their tradition by making a Windows version as well, since it was such a big hit. The game is called Escape Velocity Nova, and you can find it here.

www.ambrosiasw.com

I've registered for the game as well, since I liked it so much. You can say that I've got a portion of this Vanguardian Axis RP from that game as well.

... Infact, people make Plug-ins for this game, where you can create your own planets, ships and weapons, storylines, etc. So once you register and have access to the internet, just by downloading these plug-ins, you can play the game over with a completely different story.
