Deep Within the dark and thick parts of the Magical Forest rests a simple shrine with a large bell. The surrounding area is clear of trees but is undetected by normal humans. This is the 'Home' of Nahumar. One of three Emotion Youkai. The Fear...

-Nahumar- -Hanalli--Sorina- Nahumar, Fear Youkai sits at the front step of the small shrine. His tall human shaped body covered with a strange white overcoat stands out from the rest of the forest. The shrine he had made his home had wood tied with growing moss and vines. The bell was surprisingly left intact through the age. He brushed his short jet black hair with one of his Tendrils while watching birds fly by. He was at peace. "Hmm...Every waking moment here is truly unique. Even if it looks the same, the outcome is far from common." Nahumar said to himself. His human featured head with similar pigment was far from normal. For his lower half is made of pure black. It did not bother him much about what today would bring. For he was always welcoming random visitors like squires and mice. That is until his stomach growled. He realized that animal fear is never as good to consume, so he did the only thing a changing Youkai would do... Dig into a box that contained some Cocoa pods and eat some of the beans. To him, Chocolate was the stuff of nightmares, and it was similar in taste of fear. He popped two in before chewing away. His tendrils doing all the work. "Peaceful..."

-Nauhmar- -Hanalli--Sorina- The very minute Nahumar started to take it easy, Hanalli came flying above and landed before the shrine with her staff planted over her shoulder. She gave a warm grin and a cheery attitude that caused the few purple colored rabbits to come near. Nahumar slowly got up and examined Hanalli. "What brings you here, Hanalli?" Hanalli looked up at Nahumar. "I came by to see how you are doing, brother. Do you have enough chocolate to hold you over for the months ahead?" Hanalli looked over to examine the opened crate. Nahumar replied. "I just opened it not even an hour ago. I really appreciate you bringing it here." Nahumar broke open another pod, handing one half by his tendril to Hanalli. She politely declined it. "You should know that Fear goes right through me. Only Joy and happiness fills my stomach." Nahumar soon recalled something of their past. There use to be four of the Youkai of Emotions. Fear, Joy, Sorrow and Anger. But in the short run, the other three had to kill Anger due to her obsession with creating anger than managing it. To this day, Anger is managed by human emotions of the first three. Weather it be anger out of Sorrow or Joy. "Yo. Nahumar. Stop daydreaming." Hanalli poked Nahumar's head with the end of her staff. Nahumar realized his state and offered Hanalli to practice. "Danmaku practice? Sure! I have been getting rusty, so set up the targets." Upon her acceptance, Nahumar implanted his tendons into the earth. Four larger tendons emerged with targets behind held on the ends for her to practice her shots. "Do you ever miss Anera?" His question came in the middle of the spar. Hanalli just finished using her new card, 'Joy of a Thousand Suns' which created three large danmaku orbs that slowly pulsated rings of smaller yellow orbs out like a ring. "It has been many years. I do miss our sister, but it had to be done. Imagine the world without humans at all? What would become of us?" Hanalli started to dodge the incoming Danmaku that the Tendons were firing. "True..." He then removed the tendons as Hanalli floated back down to the ground. "Thank you for the skill tweaking, I should get going. There are many regions of Gensokyo that are radiating with happiness!" Hanalli waved goodbye to Nahumar and the small rabbit creatures before heading off. Nahumar then instructed the rabbits to return to the forest. For the purple rabbits evoke the visions of great fears into man from ever entering the shrine. Only humans with magical capabilities and other Youkai can ever enter the surrounding shrine area.

-Nauhmar- -Hanalli--Sorina- Nahumar was taking a simple nap for the day. His dream was of the day that Anera went mad and her death. It was clear to him more than the rest... It was very long ago. Possibly before the creation of Gensokyo. A village was attacked by the Youkai of Anger. Everyone was slaughtered and only the other three stood before Anera to end her for good. For unlike most Youkai, they are never meant to kill humans. Only encourage a certain emotion. And Anera's was unstable at this point. "Anera! You must stop this bloodshed of humans this instant!" Hanalli screamed. Her staff aimed at Anera, holding an execution style axe. "Hanalli. The humans threaten our way of life, have they not? They wish to tear away the things that make you happy. Doesn't that make you...Angry?" Anera grinned with evil delight. Sorina withdrew her blades and stood with Hanalli as well. She was the tallest out of them all. "Though it pains me to say it, but we must put an end to your deeds! Slaughtering even one human for no reason is murder!" Sorina cried out. Nahumar, in this time without his coat, walked in the middle of the conflict, his tendons changed into sharp needle like arms. "Anera. I am sorry, but it's for the best." Nahumar's only words as they engaged in battle. The rage that Anera had could rival the three without trouble. Even to where she could heal her wounds. It would take hours and even days before the fight came to a standstill. This was the moment that Nahumar made the choice. "Nahumar. Are you not angered at the humans as well? They are afraid of you, yet they wish to kill you just for that reason alone. Don't they make you vomit? Humans are trash!" It was then that Nahumar realized how lost Anera was. And without giving her a chance, he imapiled her shoulders with two of his tendons before piercing her chest with a third. She struggled to get down, but it was soon over. "You are the one who is afraid. Afraid the humans will kill you. Yes, Humans have done many evil acts, but they too need to live among us. We are creatures of long ago. We survived with humans and we will always continue this way. Without them, we would not live. And it is clear that we do not need pure anger at all!" Nahumar would separate her body into three parts, giving a half to Hanalli and Sorina to consume and mange.
Nahumar slowly awoke to the feel of a blue bird pecking his face, then flying off. He sat up slowly and stretched his arms, looking at his hands once again. "How long has it been since that day?"

-Nauhmar- -Hanalli--Sorina- Nahumar received a Visit from Sorina. She wore a long blue kimono with long sleeves. Her hair almost acting like a wedding veil and her smile was faint but there. She was the tallest out of them all and enjoyed talking to Nahumar more than the others. "It is a nice day today, Nahumar." she spoke in a very soothing and motherly voice. One that would lull a child to sleep. "Of course, Sorina. If you were coming i would of made some tea." Nahumar exclaimed as Sorina giggled. She knew Nahumar had nothing at this bell shrine to cater to a human. "That is quite alright. I just wanted to talk." Sorina sat besides Nahumar. From afar they looked like a couple. Nahumar's tendrils helped Sorina out of her Kimono, revealing her long, light blue skirt and white blouse with buttons all the way down. Nahumar then brought over a black rose for her. "Thank you Nahumar. I truly adore it when you give me such a nice rose for a snack." Sorina lightly took the rose in her hand. The pricks were unable to mark her soothing hands as she plucked on petal and tossed it in her mouth. The very taste of sorrow to her was sweet but sour as well. Nahumar sat there, cracking one other pod and eating the cocoa beans. "I had a dream about Anera. From before." "It is alright, Nahumar. You did what you had to. She was going to try and kill all the humans after all. And we need them." They sat there for a while, enjoying the view and company of one another.

-Nauhmar- -Hanalli--Sorina- Sorina's visit was soon over. Her time with Nahumar was well spent with him. She laid the stem where she sat and slowly adorned her Kimono once more. "Oh Nahumar. You make quite a host. Sometimes, i think you are more human than Youkai. But I must go. I trust that if anything happens, you will contact us." Nahumar stood up from his position. His tendrils lightly wrapping around her waist in a small hug. A show of affection towards his so called sisters. "Of course. After all, you and Hanalli are like sisters to me." Nahumar then let Sorina go. She waved goodbye with her hand and took off for her home at the Mountain. Nahumar took a deep breath once more as he inspect his bell shrine. "Maybe I should tidy up a bit." He thought outloud. To Nahumar, the bell was his home. It was also a challenge for humans. For one day, he dreamed of meeting a human who indeed would fight his illusions and traps to ring the bell. Without the aid of any magic. But it was a project for later. Nahumar looked to the sky, watching some birds go by. Before sitting on the steps of the bell shrine.

-Nauhmar- -Hanalli--Sorina- After an hour of work and help from his purple rabbit things, Nahumar finish cleaning his small home. The bell was still the same as he dared not to ruin it's age and the few human hands that have been able to ring the bell out of courage. He stared at the shrine and noticed the rabbits already huddling underneath it to take a break. "Go on. You earned it." Nahumar spoke to the bundle, slowly going to sleep. For this, Nahumar decided to strengthen the illusion and barrier around his small plot of home to protect them. Of course, it would only fool humans without magic. Danmaku was a safe way to fight off humans and one another. It slowly has grown on him to be more of a test of skill, evasion and art. For no two cards are the same. He enjoyed the spell card system over his own powers any time. So to celebrate his cleaning, he took half of a cocoa pod and began eating it with the shell included.

Ochiba Saiseki~ 20/20 Blind Rabbit "Where have thoe rabbits ran off to now?" Ochiba looked around in her small house inside a tree. They ran off often, but this earth rabbit youkai had enough in her hands to go following them all around! She gave up on finding them and slung a bag over hershoulder hurrying out to find some nice things to cook for dinner that night.
While she was sucessful for the most part, her search was cut short, for she found trails of bunny steps leading off somewhere. Perhaps these where her bunny companions? The girl-sized youkai, pushed her glasses, squinting at the steps then out towards the path they lead. She turned and followed the track.
A bit of time later, she stumbled upon an odd set of land. Even with how blind she was, she could see a bell not too far off. Curious, Ochiba begun to climb up towards, her bad now off her shoulder and onto her hand. The bell was getting closer with every step....

-Nauhmar- The oddly colored rabbits soon took notice of the real earth rabbit and scattered from their resting place. Normally, they would greet their own kind. It wasn't until the rabbit was close enough to touch the bell that Nahumar spoke from behind her without warning. "I would not try to touch the bell if I were you, little one. Less you wish to be disappointed at it's sound." Nahumar made sure to not show his tendrils at all until the 'Guest' felt safe. He covered his shadow black body with his coat and only exposed his more human like face. He smiled to show how he would not harm a weakling at all, or rather one that is innocent in his eyes. Three of the weird rabbits suddenly approached the real rabbit, as if sniffing her out. "Apparently, they too are curious as to what a rabbit smells like. Tell me, what brings you here to the Mare?" He held his arm out as a welcome. "I am Nahumar. The Youkai of Fear. And you are?" Nahumar's eyes examined the so called intruder for anything hostile about her.

She had been reaching for the bell when the voice spoke out. The earth rabbit turned around, with a small smile,"Oops! I didn't mean to trespass!" The girl turned around to face the strange man, though her eyes saw through his illusions or the like, she really wasn't scared either way.
She looked at the other rabbits sniff at her,"Oh I was looking for some fellow earth rabbits, and I found footsteps, I must have been following theirs." The girl smiles once more pushing her glasses," I am Ochiba Saiseki, Earth Rabbit Youkai. I live not far , here, in the Forest of Magic."
"Sorry about just comming in, I saw the bell from afar and got curious as well." Ochiba chuckles.

-Nauhmar- Nahumar nods at the rabbit before him. "It is quite alright. My little plot of land is rarely visited at all. Maybe once in a blue moon, a human will face their greatest fears and find my bell. They then ring it as a way of saying they finally overcame their fear. Sadly, if anyone or anything tried to ring it..." Nahumar took his time while talking, walking up to the bell and placing his hand upon it. The sound it made could resemble a very light jingle of a tiny bell. Too quiet to reach any farther than close up. "It would not ring. Oh, how rude of me. I have no tea to give you or anything a rabbit would be able to eat." Nahumar looked around his small bit of land. One of his weird rabbits pulled out a Cocoa pod and tried to offer it to Ochiba. "Oh no. She is not like you or the others. She is a real rabbit." he took the pod away from it, cracking it for himself and flicking one of the beans in his mouth to eat. "Now, about your 'friends'. Are they white, grey or brown? I could of sworn i saw one hop close before back into the forest." Nahumar ran his fingers down his chin repeatedly as if a beard was present. In the distance, the rabbits he had hopped back into the forest, doing whatever it was.

"That's very interesting!" The rabbit got a bit closer to the bell, just look at it and examine it with her hardly useful eyesight. A rabbit ear twitched a bit, before she responded,"ah don't worry about the tea! Us Rabbits are used to not getting more than a pat or two before being broomed out the yard!"
She laughed much used to diffrent things but kindness, she was still a jolly little thing. Ochiba looked towards the forest,"Most are a nice brown and grey. White rabbits are rare, you only see them in the Bamboo Forest near that mansion and by Tewi Inaba and her gang."
The youkai shook her head,"sorry if they decided to take something from you, they don't know better."

-Nauhmar- -Hanalli- Nahumar took a minute to think but soon was interrupted as another Youkai entered the area. Many of the rabbits of grey and brown seemed to of followed the small woman with yellow hair and a grin. The radiating joy from her body made the rabbits follow her until they noticed Ochiba. "Hanalli? Where did you find the rabbits?" Nahumar asked, already knowing the answer. Hanalli took her staff out to lean against it, brushing some of her hair out of the way. "Obviously, I was just roaming around like normal. I decided to land somewhere in the forest and out of nowhere, the rabbits suddenly tackled me out of no where. So I just thought of coming here and knowing where to dump them off. But it seems this young rabbit already got a hold of them." Hanalli continued to smile. She reached into a small pouch and pulled out a strange bun like food. This sweet bun had a weird dandelion gold tint to it's outer shell. She offered it to the newcomer. Taking a bite of this strange bun would taste exactly what the eater wanted at the moment or their favorite food of all time. "Hello there, my name is Hanalli. The goddess of joy!" she stated with a smile. "You are not a goddess, Hanalli. Just a Youkai of Joy." Nahumar blurted out the truth without a care. Hanalli slammed her staff upon his head in anger at his statement. "Hmf! At least my human form is not nearly covered in shadow and darkness. I at least look like a woman." They seem to get along like siblings more than fellow youkai. Nahumar rubbed the bump on his head as he sat back up on the steps. "Anyways, thanks Hanalli. This is Ochiba. An Earth Rabbit." Hanalli resisted the urge to hug Ochiba at the moment. When it came to happy images, rabbits were among the many that took her top thee. Including flowers, cats, dogs, and just about eighty percent of the world.

Ochiba knelt down to ask the bunnies where they had been and the like, before standing to smile at Hanalli,"Thank you for bringing them back! They ru- Oh..?" She was given that sweet bun."Ge, thanks!" Bitting into it was quite delicious! It tasted like freshly backed Carrot cake, Ochiba's favorite baked good! "Man, this is delicious! Thank you so much!"
"Hello, pleasure to meet you Miss Hanalli! As Mr Nauhmar said, I am Ochiba, an earth rabbit from the Forest of Magic!" Her rabbit ears twitched happily, she had a delicious bun, her rabbit friends and two kind strangers that where treating her nicely.
"Ge, there has to be something I can do to repay you for the kindness!"

-Nauhmar- -Hanalli- Hanalli finally latched onto Ochiba with a small squeal of joy. "You already did by becoming so happy after eating that bun! That is called a Joybun. Just biting into it will taste exactly like your most beloved food or whatever you are craving at the moment. Your reaction is the payment I need." of course, she soon let her grip go. Nahumar looked over at one of his rabbits inspecting the earth rabbit. The two really are different from not only their outer appearance but their behavior. Hanalli took the time to try and rub Nahumar's shoulders. "Come on Nahumar. Why not crack a smile for the guest?" Nahumar then used one of his tendons from his back to move Hanalli to the side. "I already did my share of smiling today. Don't you have to make another bun anyways?" He looked at Hanalli, holding out two dandelion flowers. She instantly took them and began eating them with such a happy face. "I am fine. It's not like they are hard to make. Oh! that reminds me. You should take good care of this rabbit. She is such a cute little bundle of joy!" Hanalli said. Nahumar blinked at first and wondered what she meant by it. Forgetting one of his tendons were out the entire time.
