Molly stared at her phone, fretting for a moment. Recon mission, huh? Was it an external mission? She hadn’t heard anything about any of those recently…but then again, who was she to doubt the words of an intermediate trainee? She apparently needed to be channeling her Death Division abilities for this mission… She sent a text back. iloveyouDIE On my way! I’ll be there in five minutes! A little less than five minutes later, Molly appeared at the portal area and uh…seemed to be dressed like how she usually was for a mission. Pants, socks, boots, long sleeve sweater, coat and scarf. Though, she would happily point out, that she brought a small bag. He did say pack light, right?

Bix seemed to also be packing light, having nothing visible with him at all besides his normal coat and clothes. He was nervous, though he was trying to have that not show. He'd been planning this in his head for a while but he'd had to wait until the portals had reopened for weekends in order to enact his plan.
"Hey!" Bix waved, eager and maybe even a bit jumpy. "Glad you could come."
After the greeting he fidgeted a moment and then rushed into, "Let's get going.." as he stepped through the portal, ready and waiting for them. When they emerged it was dusk and there was a warm breeze. The portal left them in a dark corner behind a large building. To their right, through a small alley they could see sunset behind what looked like a football field. Next to them, set into the wall, was a metal door. Upon closer inspection there was a small rock on the ground and the door was open the smallest of cracks. Loud music was heard but it was dulled out by walls, halls and doors between their source and where the hunters were standing.
Bix was relieved to see no one around. "Good looks like everything is still set.."

Molly waved once she was closer, and smiled a bit. “Oh, no problem at all! Thank you for inviting me…” She seemed to be waiting for some kind of briefing, but maybe she’d get one after they went through the portal? Seemed so! She followed through it after the albino hunter, pausing once they stepped through it to take in her surroundings. Molly blinked, looking around, noting the foot ball field, the buildings…and the sound of music. Huh…
She looked over at Bix, and spoke softly, as to not draw any attention to them just in case. “Is it just us?” She murmured, “And um…if you don’t mind, may I ask about the mission points? What are we observing, today?”

"Ahmm.." Bix paused. He'd thought of something of course but he was debating whether he should tell her the truth. "Supposed to be looking for signs of Four Clans activity. Umm some of them were in the human world when their islands collapsed. Soo.. basically just looking for the symbol on things and umm stuff." He didn't sound so sure but it was pretty plausible. "So we're going in disguise." When they got through the door it was a darkened locker room. Light poured through from the other side, broken up by rows of lockers. Bix tested a few lockers, all locked, until one finally popped open. When he turned around he was blushing but she probably couldn't tell in the dark. He handed her something on a hanger, it was wrapped in plastic but hanging straight. When she took it, he pulled something similar out for himself. There was no way to initially tell what it was until she unwrapped it. "Ahh.." did his voice sound trembly and nervous? "The bathrooms are to the right. To change in." He also fidgeted in the locker and pulled out a brown bag but he didn't share or hand over it's contents.

Oh Molly. So unassuming. So trusting.
“Oh!” She nodded her head. “Alright, understood!” She believed him. The red head blinked once he said disguise…but that made sense, too! Molly would admit they’d probably uh…stand out too much in their Deus coats. The Mist trainee followed behind him at a close range, being a good team mate and watching his back for any signs of trouble. If Molly had any kind of suspicious bone in her body, she’d very much be questioning how well Bix seemed to know the area already, and also be questioning how nervous he sounded. There was a presence in the back of her mind though that was very suspicious for her, and that was Vaska.
Molly blinked as he handed her something and she took it. Oooh…her disguise, huh? She felt like she was in a spy movie for a minute. What kind of disguise was she getting? “Oh, okay!” She chirped softly. “Should I meet you here when I’m done? Oh um…where do we put our coats?”

"Use your pack and put them in this same locker." Bix hadn't been in this alone. Mina had helped him by giving him details about being sneaky around a school. She apparently had an innate knack for what doors kids propped open, which rooms would be empty at what times. She never said how, she seemed not to know how herself, but she'd been an integral part in the plan and now she stayed blissfully silent. Part of it was Bix asking her to, but the other was her amused observation as the plot unfolded. Bix gave Molly a last smile before he moved hurriedly off towards the left, another separate row of bathroom stalls. He dressed quickly, quicker than he'd ever changed in his life. By the time Molly had come out from changing as well (he wasn't sticking around to possibly hear her reaction about the dress) he wasn't in the locker room anymore and the locker had his bag stuffed into it. The light was being broken outside the door and if she went to investigate, she'd find the albino pacing with his hands behind his back. He was wearing a brown suit, red tie, and red chuck taylors. He seemed also very keen to keep his hands behind his back. There was a red rose in his lapel.

Vaska couldn’t put his mental thumb on it yet, but he would. Oh he would.
Molly, on the other hand, nodded her head and smiled a bit in return. “Alright!” She then moved to go to the right where the bathrooms were, and it was then did she carefully go through the bag she was given, and any smile she may have had on her face disappeared. Woah…uh…it was a dress. A sleeveless and strapless dress. That…was her disguise? Um…
She bit her lip momentarily, and checked the tag. Huh…it was her size…further investigation in the bag also produced a pair of green Chuck Taylors…and checking those also revealed that they happened to be her shoe size. Molly’s brows furrowed and she seemed to be thinking hard.
Wow!
Deus kept really good track of her measurements!
Vaska may have mentally face palmed, but he was much, much closer to putting his mental thumb on the topic now.
Well…a mission was a mission!
Vaska snorted.
Molly kind of wished that the dress had sleeves on it…she didn’t like being so…exposed, but she should just be thankful that Deus provided her with a disguise at all. She did, indeed, take longer to get ready than Bix, and she couldn’t help but peek out of the cracked bathroom door a bit anxiously and shyly. Her arms felt cold. She was so exposed. Stepping out quietly, the red head placed her bag neatly into the same locker with Bix’s, and couldn’t help but fuss once more with the hem of her dress as she closed the locker. Oh dear. She rubbed her arms, and also fussed with the de-summoned form of her weapon on her wrist, a spiraled gold bracelet with a green gem (how strange that it really seemed to go with the dress), and then looked around.
Huh…Bix wasn’t here…movement caught her eye though, and quietly made her way over to the doors. Why was Bix pacing? Was there something wrong? Dress worries forgotten for now, Molly cracked one of the double doors open, her mop of curly hair popping out into the hall, but the rest of her stayed pretty concealed behind the door.
“…Are you alright, Bix?” She whispered, and then took a moment to take in his ‘disguise’. He…looked…rather dashing! He also really reminded her of his homecoming picture…
Vaska almost wanted to applaud…almost.

Bix of course was like @_@ when he saw her. She was so.. something. He really couldn't think about finding the right words for it. The dress he'd found in a consignment shop only the day before, suit too, though he'd had to be a creep and find her size from a combination of her bunk and her dorm room. All that was forgotten, of course, when she emerged looking adorable and freckly and a combination between shy and worried.
"You look.. really.. nice. Pretty.. uh.. nice." Bix stammered and turned red. "Honestly though umm.." Would she be annoyed and insist on going back if he told her the truth? "this isn't really a mission."
Bix gulped and his heart was pounding. He pulled his hands from behind his back and gave her a corsage with a red rose on it. Even his hands were blushing a bit.
"Will you go to this strange high school's prom with me?" Yes, he said all of that.

Bix turned red, Molly started turning red, very shyly stepping out into the hall now as she rubbed an arm self consciously again. She paused though, as he complimented her, and swallowed anxiously. “O…oh…um…” She looked down at the green Chuck Taylors she was wearing. “Th…thank you…!” She barely squeaked “I…um…think you look rather um handso--uh…huh? Th-this isn’t…a mission?” Cue Deer Caught In the Headlights Look.
<AH HA!>
What was it?
Molly stared as Bix produced a lovely red rose corsage and she felt her chest tighten painfully. Gosh…it was getting harder to breath, and she felt really warm…and possibly even light headed. She really liked roses…
<Oh my Jack. Do not faint, Molly. Do not—BREATE YEH TWIT, BREATHE!>
She did just that, inhaling and then exhaling, and that seemed to help. Will you go to this strange high school's prom with me? The ‘mission’, the shoes, the dress, the corsage…Molly was more than overwhelmed. Was…was she being asked to be his—
<DATE. I called it, eh—Molly, breathe.> Because it would just be so lame but possibly funny if she fell out on the floor right now.
Her fingers twitched, a sign of movement, finally, aside from her somewhat erratic breathing. Her fingers hesitantly reached out to brush against the petals of the corsage and she bit her lip, reaching up touch her cheek with her other hand. “…Y-yes…” She finally whispered.

Bix let out a breath, loudly, that he didn't know he'd be holding.
"Oh god I'm so glad you didn't run away.." he muttered softly, possibly to himself but also slightly to her. He took the corsage and slipped it onto her wrist.
"I.. uh.. knew you didn't get to go to a prom and so I figured I would find one and take you to it? I.. I hope you like the dress. It was the best I could find in like.. one day?" He said it like a question even though it wasn't one. "And I planned the night. Kinda. Well we have things to do anyway."
Bix offered his arm for her. The prom itself sounded as if it was in the gym nearby but when they turned the corner they found the halls filled with kids. ALOT OF THEM. This must be a huge school
They were all congregated outside the doors of the gym, the pulse of music could be felt through the floor. By the sweaty state of some of the boys, it looked like they' already been dancing quite a bit.

“ O…oh goodness, no, I would never run away from you…” Molly murmured. She may have fainted on him, but she wouldn’t run away, certainly not. The young woman was probably going to be permanently blush stained the rest of the evening, to be honest, as it wasn’t going away anytime soon. Not as Bix slipped the corsage on her wrist, or more or less told her his plans. Molly then got misty eyed. He did this for her? She was speechless for a long while, cupping one of her cheeks as she just stared at him. She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out, and instead she wiped at her eyes with the back of her hand. Don’t cry now, that’d just be sil— Wait… “… O…oh you did?” Molly gasped, looking down at the dress once more. “ I…I do, I like it a lot…” She still wished it had sleeves, but she’d keep that to herself! “ Go…good guess um…on the size too!” Because she never told Bix her size, so he must have just eyed it, right? But now Molly felt a bit more self-conscious…Bix knew her size and she wasn’t exactly proud of it. Oh well. She reached out with one hand and gently hooked it on to his arm. “… Um…” She leaned, whispering into his ear a bit worriedly. “… You don’t think we’ll get in trouble being here…do you?” Not from Deus but…you know… they didn’t attend this school.

Bix turned more red when she mentioned the sizing. He really didn't want to admit to being a creeper. He walked her to the gym doors and thankfully the prom seemed to have been running just long enough that the 'security' (chaperones mostly) were off sitting at tables. Having been to a prom or two, he knew the rough timeline of when the teachers gave up standing around. "If anyone catches us.." He leaned in, forced to whisper in her ear once the music got too loud. "Out the way we came, grab our bags and run. What's the worst that could happen?" It was just a prom. As they entered the room the lights were dim and the gymnasium was packed with sweaty teens. Pulsing lights over head went to the beat of the music and a huge mob in the center swayed and rocked and bounced along. The prom theme, thankfully, was nothing crazy. All the banners were silver and black and plastered with sayings about 'making memories'. Confetti and baloons littered the floor. "C'mon!" Bix took a deep breath and decided to muster up enough courage to unveil his dancing skills. Weird white guy dancing skills! He took Molly by the hand and pulled her to the fringes of the dancing mob. The song was fast and Bix wasn't familiar with it but the kids were dancing like crazy and singing along. Thankfully the chorus wasn't hard to catch on to. Bix held both her hands at first, swinging them together, swaying, but eventually he let go and was just bouncing around next to her. He probably looked stupid, but they were at a high school dance so no one was really noticing.

Oh dear…
Molly just nodded her head regardless though, and crossed her toes that they wouldn’t get caught. As Bix guided her to the gym doors and led them into the room, Molly took in the sight, and felt a wave of anxiety and nervousness. So many people…young people. Molly felt terrible out of touch with this norm. The last time she’d been in an atmosphere like this, was over four years ago, and it had felt like a life time, honestly. This was so much different than the norm she was use to now.
Molly brought her other hand up to hold onto Bix’s arm, and was now holding it like it was a lifeline.
Haha ha…ha…dancing… Oh dear.
She followed along after the albino, smiling nervously as they edged closer towards all the dancing teens. Goodness they were all so…lively and energetic…and wow…those were some moves. She seemed to be somewhat alright as Bix started to swing her hands, and then looked panicked as he let go of them, and Molly stood there awkwardly, watching him as he moved next to her, and then looked around at the others.
The only dancing Molly had really done a lot was of the Irish variety and with a younger sister in those silly, swaying little kid dances…this high school prom was a whole different beast. It was a catchy song indeed…but she was feeling self conscious, oh god…she just couldn’t stand there though…thus Molly started the awkward girl sway.

Bix saw that Molly was feeling awkward but it was a dance and thus dancing was necessary. With the heat of bodies and the sweaty teens (some of them, right over there, seemed to be humping.. or rutting.. or something), Bix took a chance and rested his hands on her waist. This of course urged her to move in time with him as he bounced. Hopefully she'd loosen up. The song sort of faded into just a beat, a thump thump thump, and he saw some of the teens panting, laughing to catch their breath as they waited for the next song. Bix looked around, still sort of swaying, until the next song faded in. A DJ announced the song as 'SOMETHING OLD SCHOOL!' and suddenly they were being blasted by.... The Thong Song. "OH MY GOD!" Bix laughed. This was a few years old by the time he'd had his own prom. He couldn't believe it still played. He heard some of the girls screech in the crowd and one girl even jumped on a table to shake her butt before a teacher hopped up to shoo her down. "Kids are crazy!" He laughed, loud enough so she could hear. If Molly looked she'd see Bix mouthing the words but as the thumping beat went on and they danced more, his hands on her waist seemed to loop around her a bit more and pull her closer.
