 Keahi paced back and forth as he waited for his challenger to come into the dueling arena. his tail lashed about back and forth as he paced around more. he was nervous about his first duel that determined if he was allowed to stay or if he would have to come back and try again. after a few moments he frowned and sat down waiting. honestly he had no idea what he was in for and was not about to think he could take on a firekin easy. he knew he would have to use all his strength to win his duel if he wanted to earn his right to live in the firekin lands. giving a big sigh, he tried to calm himself so that he could be focused when the duel started.

Aithne had been off to the side watching her dueling partner for a little while now. Watching his pacing and his impatience. She found making some one wait for her interesting. Really she found messing with anyone interesting. She loved screwing with others and seeing what they did. She smirked a little before deciding that she needed to go find him and duel him. She guessed it was time to fight. She lifted herself up and started to travel down the side of the hill toward him. "Stranger."
She was quick with her greeting before she took her ground. She wouldn't be surprised if he saw her laying in the sand waiting for when she was ready to be fight. He probably didn't even know she was who he was going to fight. She was stubborn one that was for sure. "Are you ready stranger?"

Keahi had become very impatience as time passed and was glad that finally his dueling partner had decided to finally show up. he watched her come down the side of the hill towards him and felt like he should of known that she was going to be his duel partner. ears flicked back in annoyance, he gave a quick stiff bow in greeting to her when he stood up from his sitting position. he had no idea who she was as he had been here a very very short time but to him she appeared to be arrogant with her act. he attempted to act that her making him wait did not bother him but it was clear with his flicked back ears that she had got to him.
"if you finally are." he kept his response and short dug his claws into the sand before stalking her in a circle. if she was so into making him wait, he was going to bide his time now and force her into making the first move if possible. but he already was more than impatience to earn his place here and be considered a pride member.

Aithne wasn't exactly the type of lioness to mess with. She took fighting seriously. Even when it came to duels. The last fight she was in was pretty vicious. She didn't do too much damage but enough to get a yelling at from her dad. Her dad was letting her to the same thing but when she dueled her temper flared, even over silly things, such as when some one was trying to mess with her. That actually pissed her off when that happened, she was never in the mood for that.
She watched him for a few moments, waiting for the exact moment that she could hit. She waited around, flicking her tail around behind her before taking a few seconds, watching him carefully she almost acted as if she wasn't going to move however she launched herself forward to the male her claws extended out in front of her heading in her direction to rip her claws into him.

Keahi was not one to mess with ether and he was highly determined to win his duel so he was taking this duel beyond serious. though she had thrown him off his game a bit by aggravating him so when she suddenly came at him with claws extended he barely managed to side leap away from her. but now he had a nice gash across his shoulder as he was not quick enough to escape her claws digging in. but he had no time to dwell on the pain in his shoulder and quickly took a swing at her with his own extended claws along with a vicious snarl. he was not about to let her make him bleed with out making her bleed in return even though he knew the duel was suppose to be more friendly spar but it seemed to him she was asking for it to be all out with claws til the duel was over.

Aithne was surprised at the male's retaliation, she could feel her claws hit the male's shoulder. AS she tried to move to the side a little she was surprise to find the male his her back. She was surprised at the sharp pain of a paw hitting her. She was especially surprised because she felt it just as she lifted a paw to hit the male back. However she was caught off balance as she reached out finding herself stumbling to the side. This was off for her she normally was much better at this

Keahi was more than pleased that the duel was going in his favor so far and a arrogant smirk was on his face. without missing a beat when he caught sight of her stumbling to the side, he took the opportunity to attempt to knock her clean to the ground by using his weight and shoulder against her. he wanted to win and end this quickly while things were in his favor. Keahi had no intentions of losing and having to duel again for his place in the firekin even if it meant being a bit rough. but he figured this female could handle it since she came at him first roughly.

Aithne could feel the hit of the lion against her side knocking her off balance and finding herself stumbling to the side and off of her paws. she was not happy by all of this. She snarled in return as she felt herself hit the ground but she wasn't going let him get away with this. She wasn't going to at all. She let out a growl of warning and reached out her clawed paws to drag him down with her aiming for his back legs.

Keahi was caught off guard when she decided to drag him down with her. and so when she reached out to drag him down, she got just what she wanted as he went stumbling down into the sand before he could even do a thing when she aimed for his back legs. he had high hopes of winning til now as he landed down in the sand almost face first and now was scrambling to get back to his feet so he could bid his time for another opportunity to regain his upper hand.

Aithne looked at the male and then let out a snarl, she was glad to see him fall on the ground. She smirked and as quickly as she could pushed herself off of her back and on to her feet before she started tmo move as quickly as she could toward him. He still appeared to be off balanced and she launched herself forward and then pounced on him aiming for his sides, her claws out and she couldn't help but to chuckle a little at that.

Keahi had no time to get away from her fast enough as he was still not use to the sand and it made him trip over himself as she dug into his sides giving him more gashes. as he went falling to the ground yet again with a vicious snarl, he decided to take her down with him if he was going to be going down. so as he fell onto his side, he aimed for any body part he could manage to grab a hold of so he could drag her down to his level. he was not going to go down with out a major fight and he was going to show her that he was willing to be just as vicious.

Aithne was not happy at all as she felt the return hit from the lion. That was a problem that Aithne had some times. She knew what she was getting into when she had a duel. She knew it was going to involve fighting and getting hit back and things like that but it was almost like she forgot and would fight back and be mad that the other lion would be hitting them. She snarled loudly and reached out her paws in return to get on final hit in while trying to wiggle away to get away from them, making room so she wouldn't get any angry. "You lost." She huffed to him.

Keahi was now flat on his back and breathing heavy now from the duel. he didn't even bother to retaliate when she got the final hit and only gave a vicious growl. " you won, but i will want a rematch." he slowly got to his feet with his tail lashing about angry. the loss of the duel did hurt his pride a bit even if he knew he probably was going to lose his first duel. snarling to himself, he now went off to lick his wounds and wait for his next opportunity to win his way into the pride.
