A lot of stuff had happened since the pair last went laughing into the dorms to retrieve her flip flops. Lives had been threatened, a cake had been baked, and Ofelia wasn't really sure of what she wanted to do anymore with her time at Deus. She'd cried on Jordan's shoulder, called herself a loser, and then got over her self pity quickly. Denial was so much easier, much much easier, and Ofelia had a promise to keep with a certain albino.
A promise of telling his fortune. The cards she grabbed were taken from their hiding spot and stuffed into her pocket. The bandages she wore on her chest usually were gone now, the wound healed, and the horrible scar of a pole axe mixed with vines decorated much of her torso, spreading even onto her neck. Ofelia didn't care, Bix didn't seem to dislike scars, and it wasn't like she was out to impress him.
the main problem now was actually finding him, and the teen started her search inside the easiest place to look: the bunk room. Dorms still weren't clear but at least people still felt best when in a bed area. "Bix, ya in here?" She peeked her head in, looking around for a familiar face.

Bix was at his bunk reading. He looked scruffy, a white stubble covering his chin and slight circles around his eyes. He looked like he was having trouble sleeping. When he heard his name the albino perked, looking around for the source. "Oh hey Ofie.." He waved her over and slid upwards to make room for her to sit on the bottom bunk. He wondered what the occasion was.

Ofelia happily, eagerly, walked over and plopped down next to Bix, a grin spreading over her face. Her bottom lip was swollen and bruised, the clear signs of bite marks healing slowly but surely, and she rubbed at her eye with the side of her hand as she shuffled with the other for the reason she came here. "Ah came ta read yer fortune, like Ah promised." The grin never really faltered from her face, though she did look a bit hesitant as the teen scanned her companion more so. He looked. . . exhausted? What was wrong?
"Ah can come back though, if yer needin' ta take a nap or sommin'. Ya look bushed." Sort of a pot calling the kettle black there, Ofelia wasn't sleeping much either but at least she'd always been the type to be able to run on next to nothing in terms of snoozing.iloveyouDIE sorry for delay ;;;; been planning my birthday stuff!

"Oh I'm alright.." He shrugged. "Trouble sleeping but I'll be fine." Bix examined Ofie's face and frowned. "Are you okay? Were you in a fight.. or a really rough make out session or something?" Of course he wanted to know who she was mking out with, if that was the case, but she seemed pretty battered.

"Ahhh, ya could say it was a fight. Jus' got a few death threats here an' there from a fellow trainee, nothin' Ah couldn' really handle." That was a blatant lie, Ofelia barely handled it at all at the time and even now she wasn't dealing with it too well. There was no need to get into detail though, no need to be super personal with a person who looked as though they were ready to break. "Ah'm more worried 'bout ya though, maybe Ah really should come back after ya get some rest. Or maybe Ah can bore ya inta sleepin' by readin' yer fortune."
There was always a chance the cards would tell Ofelia what she needed to know in some round-about way. It wasn't like they were psychic, there was no way in hell that she was, but the cards did have a way of reading the mood. . . .sometimes. Okay, hardly ever. "No real thought on yer half is needed, jus' the ability ta draw three cards."

"I dunno. No one should be handing out death threats. Who was it?" The bedraggled albino hunter didn't look anymore capable of taking anyone on right now. He didn't press the subject when she moved along the subject. Tarot cards? He nodded and turned, tucking a leg underneath him. "Sounds easy enough. I never did this before. My mom thought they were stupid. And Ouiji boards.. and ghost hunting.. " Pretty much anything supernatural. "Do you have to shuffle them or anything... or should I just?" He held his hand out, ready to begin.

Thankfully for Bix, or perhaps to disappoint him in a way, Ofelia didn't have any tarot cards so he didn't need to worry. Instead she simply had playing cards, ones that were worn and missing the joker from the set (not a big deal anyway), and she started to shuffle them as she moved and sat on the bad. The space between her and Bix was closed rather quickly, the red-head's apparently lack of concern for personal space clearly evident. Whatever fears she'd had about close contact as of late seemed to disappear the moment she saw his face.
"Who was doin' death threats? Ah, no one important, jus' an a** tryin' ta assert his dominance an' all that jazz. In the end he's gonna get what's comin' his way an' Ah jus' hope Ah them there watch him crumble an' burn." Her words didn't sound cruel or hateful, just more like she was stating a fact. "After all, we all need someone ta be there ta help us back ta our feet, yeah? Ah jus' wanna make sure he can stand on his o- sonnuva b***h."
The cards Ofelia had in her hands scattered everywhere as her shuffling went somewhat array. She got up and gathered them again, limping faintly on her leg as she plopped back down. They were stacked, shuffled, and then spread out on the mattress in front of the Albino. "Okay, jus' pick three of 'em an' set 'em down here, face up. Ya dun have ta worry 'bout nothin', this ain't gonna tell yer future. It jus' tells what's goin' on in yer life now."
Ghost hunting, hadn't he sad something like that? Ofelia couldn't remember if she ever went actual ghost hunting, but she did remember the times she stalked around her room and the barn, trying to find something to show her brother as proof. Her aunt never bothered with her anyway, but for some reason Ofelia always felt like maybe the old bat knew more than she let on.iloveyouDIE AHAHAHA me too it's totally okay. we're still all kinds of awesome

Bix listened to her, still curious about who could have done it and thinking of a few candidates, but Ofie didn't seem too keen on saying names. She seemed pretty level headed about it though the calm nature in which she proclaimed this person's future downfall sounded strangely threatening. It was like she knew something. Perhaps she was just very confident in the theory that 'what goes around comes around'. He attempted to help her clean up the cards but she was on it quicker than him. He'd never seen anyone read playing cards before and so Bix was pretty curious. He did as he was told and dutifully picked three cards, flipping them onto the mattress. "I dunno... nothing real good going on right now.." He chuckled and rubbed his stubbly chin, but waited patiently anyway.

Ofelia looked at the cards, and then back at Bix. "Nah, it's nothin' like that either. Ya ready?"
She was a little rusty at this, which made her sad. Being at Deus had made her rusty in a lot of things.iloveyouDIE Which three cards did you pick? XD;;;

Ofelia reached out and took the eight of diamonds into her hand, flipping the card back and forth before finally setting it down in front of the albino hunter. For a chance her eyes looked serious, as if she was focusing on something, and it took another moment until she opened her mouth to speak. Her accent was still there but her words were slow, as if she was speaking as best she could to make herself understood without her lazy talking.
"The eight'a spades represents karma. This card, now chosen by ya, shows that you've gained sommin' ya hadn't thought ya had before. Perhaps answers to questions you never knew, or answers to questions you never wanted to ask. You've been given information that leads to inheritance, such as bloodlines or gifts."
Ofelia paused and turned the card sideways with the tips of her fingers, ready to read another meaning.
"Read this way, the card means all yer hard work is finally payin' off. People are startin' ta recognize ya fer all yer worth. Eventually all of your skill will allow ya ta become sommin' greater. This also means someone ya never thought ta happen knows yer name. An' that is all that this card, standin' alone, means."
She grinned at her friend, waiting for his response.

Bix looked surprised. Her reading was surprisingly accurate, at least the first one. "Thats pretty good. I don't know about being noticed but.. the first part." He leaned forward now, eager to hear the rest.

The next card Ofelia placed her hand on was the two of clubs, and she closed her eyes if thinking for a moment. Really she was just trying to remember, this wasn't much of a common card she had to read. Sure the odds were always random, people didn't often draw the same things over and over, but just to be safe tonight she'd look at all fifty-two and go over remembering everything.
"The two'a clubs represents a choice. Yer at an impasse now where yer not sure which way ta go, but it's important ta know that yer gut feelin' will keep ya goin'."
She paused, not sure of what came next. A hand went up and she tapped at her temple with her finger. A look of clarity crossed over her mind, like maybe smacking a nerve really helped.
"Yer wafflin' on something an' yer afraid ta hear the answer for it. Jus' trust yerself an' the answer ta the question will not be something ta fear. That is all that this card, standin' alone, means."

Bix frowned a little. Going with one's gut was always good advice but he only had spotty luck with his own. Most of the time led him to being awkward or uncomfortable... or worse yet, in trouble. He nodded to Ofie about the card, his thoughtful expression perhaps giving away just how accurate her reading was.

"Hmm...gimmie a sec on this last one. Mah brain's gettin' kinda fuzzy tryin' ta 'member an' Ah'm worried Ah'll jus' run stuff tagether." Ofelia rubbed the back of her neck as she looked at the king of hearts, wondering if what she was thinking of was actually for the queen of diamonds.
That would be bad.
