"We agreed with the original plan, until your teams made a call you had no clearance to make." The rest of the table was silent. "The aftermath, the result of all these problems, this, is all because you did not follow our orders"

Where the one voice stopped, another seated figure continued. "There is one thing we learned: as division leaders, your roles have deviated from their original purpose. These are roles that dictate and execute, without question. You respond to each and every detail to us only move when we as a Council have agreed so. All of you who were involved in the Four Clans termination mission acted without full Council consent. I would recommend remembering where you all stand: at this point, the odds are still in the senior members of the Council's favour."

He said nothing, expression as neutral as most of the leaders who had just been chastised before him. One by one each Division Leader had been called: it was easier threaten an individual as a group.

"Caelius." Yet another voice, as demanding as the others. "The trainee project is your first priority, with the damage to the weapons cove and the propagation of Insanity, you will follow our exact instructions to avoid further catastrophe or we will revoke your role as Division Leader. Your second priority along with the other division leaders is to assist in containing this Insanity. With such a high number of our own casualties, we will need more candidates to fill the ranks, we will need to maintain and delegate the existing trainees further, we will need to make sure they understand exactly our current situation. We will be watching and monitoring every division leader on a regularly updated basis, progress is mandatory."

The Death Hunter lead said nothing, hands clenched into fists, knuckles white. "Understood."

He waited very patiently, only the soft humming of Circe soothing in the background until each and every Council member said their peace and he was dismissed. The same words repeated in a perfect half-circle: misconduct, a need to control something they could not contain. The so-called Senior Council members were scared, terrified of change, words unable to mask their fear.

It was barely interesting.

Candidate project. Trainees. If the Council insisted, then. He pulled out a thoroughly worn cell phone and continued as they insisted. Priority number one.

The trainees, second hand victims, would unfortunately notice that it was, of course, currently 2:08 PM Island time. Upon arriving they would of course see yours truly seated at one edge of the perfectly round table, expression still neutral. Which probably meant that to the trainees, he looked pissed or something.

He should have known that the only person to send a text message at 2:08 PM and expect people to be in place by 2:15 PM was none other than their utterly delightful Death Division Leader.

Gale glared at the screen for several long seconds, fingers clenching around it. Then his breath escaped in a soft sigh, and he shook his head, already making his way out of the room he was in, and down the hall, desummoning Jinhai in the process.

When he reached the classroom, he found, of course, Caelius, who was sitting at a glossy round table. He looked...well, as he ever did, with an expression that suggested he was not happy, nor cheerful.

But when was he ever?

<< Someone's clearly having fun. >> Jinhai murmured dryly, and Gale resigned himself to pulling out a chair and sitting down several seats from where Caelius was, folding his arms across his chest.

Then he waited for the inevitable You all suck.

Ami filed in far too closely behind Gale, irritated by her headband, but even more annoyed by Cael's abrupt texts. She'd been in the middle of clearing the area, she was tired, and this was not okay.

< Does this mean I can talk about? >

Ami nearly jerked around if she hadn't been so used to Junpei's voice in the first place. Holy s**t he really had been quiet for the requested week. She was actually ... somewhat relieved? to find him back. As relieved as Ami could be to have an obnoxious teenage male pestering her twenty four seven.

I ... guess so.

< THANK JACK, > he nearly shouted, < I missed you Amiiiii. >

Yeah. 'Kay, she thought, pulling a seat near Gale. Close enough to hear his beautiful voice, but far enough away to not seem like a creeper. Well, not more creeperish than she was already.

< We're going to have a sincere talk when you- >

Don't make me hit the mute again.

Bix followed right behind Gale and flopped tiredly in a chair. When your prospects for the day were to fight endless waves of shadow monsters or go to a meeting with Caelius, you obviously chose to fight monsters.

Unfortunately Caelius's thing was a little more mandatory.

Bix rubbed a white stubbled cheek and gazed upon the perfectly coifed visage of their sunbeam of a superior. His own dead stare showed only a resigned boredom. He already knew they were awful and failures and probably would never be promoted in their career, but really.. tell us more. He was ready for it.

Of course then it dawned on him that it was the first time he'd been in a room with a 'higher up' since the mission and in that time he'd acquired the Breeding Program information. Was it worth it to attempt to talk to Caelius about?

Perhaps after the meeting..

Rep hadn't been to a proper demoralising Cael debriefing as yet, so when he received the text, he headed off to the room in question without too much hesitation. They'd saved the world, they'd blown the horsemen to bits, maybe they'd get some sort of thanks and bonus. That'd be ******** awesome. Maybe even vacation time.

He didn't dare take the headband off before filing in, in case taking it off somehow broke the amazing power kicks he'd been experiencing.

He chose a seat at the most empty part of the table, plunking himself down with a sigh.

Wait, didn't this table get broken? He ran a hand across it and wondered how the hell they got tables onto the island in the first place when portals were smallish.

When Wilson read the text message, 2:15 PM didn’t sound too bad. Well, that was until he realized that at the moment it was 2:08. The sender of the message expected the trainees to arrive on time in seven minutes. His eyebrows furrowed. This had happened to him before. There was one person he knew would do exactly this kind of thing, but maybe it was someone new. Maybe, maybe not. He sprinted for the main building anyways.

He had nearly forgotten that he was still wearing the Pikachu headband, but that was until he saw Ami and her rabbit ones. Blinking, Wilson reached up to adjust his own. The trainee turned toward Caelius. Of course. Maybe he should take the headband off? Caelius didn’t seem the type to be amused with animal headbands. Maybe…Wilson reluctantly took his hands off the headband. He went for the seat next to a familiar face, which happened to be Ami. Wilson stared at the round table.

He stared at it for a long time because he knew damn well where this table had come from. B|

Ami just stared at Wilson with an angry look on her face.

He was blocking her view of Gale.

Madison cursed under her breath the entire way to the meeting, shrugging on her coat en-route over her 'street' clothes. Really, she didn't feel like going anywhere, but defying one of Caelius' orders? Yeah, that took about ten times more balls than she currently possessed.

The Death trainee sidled into the room, nodding to Caelius with what she hoped was a casual air. Ugh.

Marcus walked in, sat down, and shut up.

Back to the good ol' days already.

Phone went off. Molly checked phone. Molly checked the time. Molly spilled her coffee on the table. Molly couldn’t grab any napkins that fast and ended up cleaning it up with the sleeve of her sweater. Molly then booked it to the room.

The Mist trainee arrived, looking winded as she paused in the doorway, taking a few breaths before looking up and scanning the room. She shuffled in, and ended up taking a seat behind Gale and Bix, offering the two a small smile before she settled, and started to roll up the sleeve of her sweater that was stained with coffee.

Rin sought out a comfortable enough seat before snatching it up contentedly. Eyes on Cael.

Looking at the text from Caelius as Tori sighed a little as it was good for a little change in pace from what they had been doing. She did think that fighting monsters would have been easier to deal with than having there Death Leader yell at them, but she knew it would be worse if not attending at all and she didn't want to be on the receiving end of his weapon.

Walking into the room to see that Caelius was already there and not too happy to see them. To which Tori was going to make sure that she kept her own expressions as neutral as she could. Looking around the room and spotted Bix to which she gave him a little wave making sure that Caelius didn't see it. Then Tori spotted Ami and took a seat near her to which she also gave Ami a little smile as Tori sat there quietly waiting.

She also had to wonder what Caelius was going to say to them but she sorta knew it might just be to yell at them for being such failures or something like that and she was glad that Aklin was being quiet for right now.

Wilson ignored Ami in favor of continuing to stare at the round table while he recalled round table => square portal = profit???
PostPosted: Wed May 09, 2012 7:58 pm

Ami's view was too blocked by Wilson's big head, so Ami decided to face forward with her arms crossed. She was already in a bad mood thanks to this headband, and Wilson wasn't helping.

Nothing to do but be quiet and listen then.

Jordan would rather have been over at the dorms helping to clear them out, or downstairs getting a shower and some rest, but Caelius tended to take exception to trainees being insubordinate with Circe, so he was here instead. With the headband still on. The thing was firmly stuck, as was the barking that went with it. He intended to keep his mouth shut if possible.

He claimed a seat by Maddie with a tired sideways smile.
