Personality
Brave: It's not that Beri doesn't feel fear... it's that he refuses to give into it. While he is not reckless, he doesn't back down from something just because it might be scary or a little difficult. He believes that a man must stand forward and face whatever comes his way with a firm, unwavering will. Beri is also unafraid to go against conventions; he often descends to the floor of Jauhar alone, and unlike most of his people, he finds the green women who share their forest rather intriguing instead of threatening.
Romantic: Tending to see the world as it could be rather than what it is, Beri has very strong romantic notions. He tries very hard to see the beauty in all things, and if he can find that and strength, he is hooked... thus his fascination with the Alkidike women. Beri is also very interested in ladies of all kinds; he tends to be very attentive to those that are of the female persuasion, enjoying the acts of flirting and wooing. He is, however, very conscious never to take the flirting to the next level, knowing he is nowhere near ready to settle down.
Modest: Beri in no way wishes to be the center of attention; he'd prefer to stay a few steps to the side of the limelight, where he can see it's shine, but he isn't blinded by it. Often, if he has done something with a group of his peers that is worthy of recognition, he will pass the credit to someone else, not feeling the need to have his actions praised. During his schooling, he often didn't answer questions unless called on, not wanting to flaunt his grasp on the concepts being taught. He doesn't wish to brag, or have anyone pat him on the back for things he has done; he does what he believes is right, and the consequences of his actions are either rewarding or damning in and of themselves - no recognition required.
