Roll an Eleven: Canyon Field: The canyon walls towers high towards the ceiling while the ground sinks downwards several levels, making the top and bottom of the field very difficult to see without special equipment. The cliff faces are very steep with little ridge support for grabbing and climbing; on top of that, the rock faces are very damp which makes grabbing and holding on very difficult. A few skinny trees and roots jut out from the cliff and allow smaller, nimbler pokemon to grab and swing around. At the very bottom of the canyon’s long drop is a deep pool of water. Keeping up is difficult for trainers on this particular battlefield, so stadium officials have set up a special view screen on each of the trainer platforms. A mini camera will follow your pokemon around while it battles (of course, it’s programmed to back off when a pokemon does an attack) and the view screen will enable trainers to issue commands to their companions via microphone. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FLYING and ROCK type attacks.

Dreidyn was really amazed at how diverse these stages could be. This field, with a giant chasm in the middle, would make for an interesting battle. She was sure that Lotus could handle it though. Her wings would give her an advantage here.
"Let's go Lotus!" She said as she tossed her Pokeball out. The said Pokemon appeared in a red flash and her wings immediately kicked into action, emitting a hum as they kept her aloft.

Cara hopped up onto the platform and surveyed the field. She couldn't help but wonder how the heck they made a canyon fit into a stadium but then again, there was a reason she wasn't an engineer. She looked up at her opponent and noticed that she had released her pokemon, who just so happened to be a Vibrava. Cara grinned, this was going to be an interesting match.
She pulled out Spirit's pokeball and opened it up. "Let's go Spirit!" The typical red beam shot out and formed into Cara's own Vibrava. Spirit's wings began flapping immediately and she waited for her first move.

Dreidyn couldn't help but grin at the sight of the other Vibrava. "Awww! She's so cute!" She squealed. She kinda felt bad that they had to meet during a battle because she would love to get to know it, but maybe some other time.
Her own Vibrava shook her head after giving her trainer a sidelong glance. If Dreidyn wasn't going to give any commands, she'll just start the battle by herself. Lotus swooped in to attack her opponent with a multicolored gust of air.

Cara grinned and called out to her opponent. "Thanks! Your's is really pretty too!" This was a very interesting girl and, indeed, the 'enemy' vibrava was quite stunning. "Be ready Spirit!" Cara then called out to her own dragon.
Spirit turned and nodded but when she turned back, she was surprised by a hard hit from her opponent and was sent flying back a bit.
Cara winced and knew to act fast. "Spirit, use Dragon Pulse!"
Spirit nodded and after gathering the dark energy in her legs, let loose the attack straight at Lotus.

Lotus faltered for a bit as the wave of energy washed over her. Even though she couldn't see the attack it still stung!
"Oh! Sorry Lotus!" She realized that the battle had started without her. "Use Dragonbreath again!"
Lotus righted herself and flew straight at Spirit, spewing more multicolored air.

"Spirit, fast! Dodge it!" Spirit tried to dodge the attack but wasn't quite fast enough and was sent flying back by the hot breath. She cried out in pain but quickly recovered. Cara winced at seeing her pokemon take the hard hit.
"Ok Spirit, lets hit 'em back with Twister!" Cara called out. Spirit started flapping her wings extremely fast, whipping up the winds in the canyon. The winds then turned into a violent tornado which Spirit then sent careening at Lotus.

When the Twister sucked up Lotus she went for a spin and even after she bullied her way out of the vicious winds she was still dizzy. It was tiring to keep on flying but there was no where to land anyway.
"Hey! Give her a taste of her own medicine with Twister!" Dreidyn shouted. Lotus obliged by spinning in a tight circle, creating a powerful vortex that she launched at Spirit.

Cara grinned, this was already turning into an extremely good and heated battle. "Quick Spirit, dodge it and use Dragon Pulse!"
Spirit zoomed skillfully around the vicious winds, dodging the attack. She then then started to gather up the energy she needed for her own attack. Her body curled inwards and then when she was ready, she let loose the pulse of intense energy straight at Lotus.

"Ack!" exclaimed Dreidyn as Lotus got slammed with another Dragon pulse. Though they were evenly matched in the beginning, that miss had turned the battle towards the opponent.
"Come on! Use Struggle Bug!"
Lotus wheeled around, regaining her composure, and started wiggling cutely to lower the foe's attack.

Spirit glowed with the effects of Lotus' move. Cara brushed it off, she knew they could still win, despite having their attack stats lowered. "Come on Spirit, you can do it! Use Twister again!" Spirit once more began whipping up the winds in the canyon. She zipped around in circles this time until the twister formed and then once it was complete, she hurled the ferocious wind attack at Lotus.

Lotus was taken for a spin in the Twister again but thankfully it didn't hurt as much as before. Dreidyn was holding the railing very tightly as she watched the scene below.
"Use Dragonbreath!" She called out. This would be a very close match!
