"All right, Chiyo, you ready for some action?!"
Chiyo snorted a worked-up reply as she and Shikari made a warm-up sprint to their starting position. They had the lay of the land down now, and Shikari had no trouble navigating the maze this time.
"We're ready!" Shikari called across the field. She gave a final whisper to Chiyo. " Remember, you can't use electric attacks on this one. We're gonna have to get creative." Another reply snort. Chiyo was all fired up and ready to go!

Cara looked at her opponent and the field. She hadn't fought here in a while and battling with Spirit on this field would be interesting. She then tossed out her vibrava's pokeball to release the pokemon, "You're up Spirit!" she called out. The Vibrava's form appeared out of the red light that was emitted from her ball and as soon as she was out, her iridescent wings started flapping at a rapid rate to keep her aloft.
"You ready to go girl?" Cara asked. Spirit nodded and made a buzzing noise with her wings in the affirmative. "Alright then, we're ready to go too!" Cara called across to Shikari. A ground-dragon type versus an electric type was going to be quite the interesting battle. "Do your best Spirit." Cara said confidently and with a loving smile to her pokemon. All she ever asked of her pokemon was that they do their best.

Cara saw that she and Spirit had the first move and she knew just which one she was going to use. "It looks like we're up first Spirit, so let's use Sand Tomb!"
Spirit nodded and started zipping around the sand box and around the loose dirt. She whipped it up into a frenzy in the air and then sent it flying at Chiyo.

YEOWCH!! The ferocity of that attack left Chiyo's head spinning. Most opponents probably would have given up...there was just too much of an advantage here...but that wasn't what Chiyo and Shikari were made of. Chiyo gathered herself for her first attack: Flash!

Spirit was shocked back a ways by the brightness and blast of Chiyo's Flash. She quickly recovered and blinked away the spots that had formed in her eyes from the brilliance of the attack, as did Cara. Once the shock of the attack wore off, the two were ready once more. "Nice one, but we still have the advantage!" Cara called over. "Ok Spirit, use Earthquake!!"
Spirit nodded and flew down to the ground, she rested her tail on the ground and it began to vibrate. As her tail vibrated, the ground began to vibrate and shake as well.

The earth moving under her feet was not at all a pleasant experience, and it hurt. This would not do! Chiyo launched into a Quick Attack!

Spirit swiftly dodged the Quick Attack. It was quite easy, seeing as how she was in the air and could move in just about any direction she wanted. "Great work Spirit, now hit 'em with Dig!" Cara called out. Spirit shot up in the air but turned and began a nose dive towards the ground, spinning in her nosedive to create a sort of drill. She hit the earth with a resounding "POW!" ((or something like that)) and began tunneling towards her target.

Oh, no! This battle would be over quickly if this beating kept up. Chiyo looked frustrated. She ignored her trainer's request for flash, going into Quick Attack again. She wanted to make it hit!

Spirit was sent flying back by the hit but quickly recovered. She shook the attack off and readied herself for the next move. "Hit 'em with another Earthquake, Spirit!" Cara called out. Spirit nodded and zipped down to the ground, touching her tail to the dirt. The tail then started vibrating and soon, the ground itself began to buckle and shake beneath her wings in the attack.

"Chiyo!" Shikari could feel the ground tremble underneath her own feet. She didn't feel good about her zebra's situation. "You wanna keep going?" Shiyo replied by snorting and stepping towards the adversary. "Alright. So you're not quitting." She didn't like having been ignored, but she knew she had to trust Chiyo's decisions. She couldn't size up the battle as accurately as the pokemon could. "OK, let's give it another Quick Attack!" She wished terribly that she had an attack capable of paralyzing the Vibrava!

Spirit evaded the quick attack without having to be told. "Use Sand Tomb, Spirit!" Cara called out. She grinned. They had them on the ropes. Spirit knew her opponent was fading fast. She zipped around the field, gathering up the dirt and sand that she had used before. She gathered it all up into big dust devil and sent it hurling at Chiyo, entombing her in a wall of debris.
