JOIN THE HANDLERS Sign-ups Are Open until 12pm PST Friday, May 11 2012 Wherhandlers across the world have stepped up their
recruitment efforts to take advantage of the slander and disbelief that has
been plaguing the Riders as of recent months. They make offers that
highlight the guaranteed nature of a bonding, the work and strength of a wher
without the price of death that hangs over every dragon... and they are taking pains to fast track education,
giving individuals condensed but no less intense lessons on the world of whers.
One might even wonder if they weren't trying to build up forces.
Indeed, the efforts are working and the ranks swell at each of the Weyrs as
those who are disillusioned, bitter, angry, or curious walk into the embrace
of the proud and powerful wherhandlers. Their work is ever becoming more
apparent to those that lead and it is, perhaps, a sign of changing times. ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
This Event is Open to Anyone and Everyone. Newbies and Oldbies Alike!
In participating in this event, your character is joining the ranks and undergoes the training required of a wherhandler. Due to the fast tracked cram-school nature of the training,
your education will occur off screen. However! Your Review and the tasks associated with it will be the focus of this event.
Any non-rider character can participate if they already exist. However, joining the Wherhandlers is a permanent faction change, it cannot be undone, so think wisely. Additionally, new
characters are allowed - there is no character application approval required for this. All participants must sign up for the event before the deadline.

How this WorksWe're trying a few different things in this event! First of all, each participant will be able to pick a prompt. This prompt will be chosen based on the traits, skill, and motivations you provide when you fill out the sign-up form! The prompts will be revealed after the thread has closed. The prompts are your tasks for the reviews each of your characters will be undergoing. It will take the form of a group roleplay game that will occur over 3 days. You performance here will determine the pick order. I would like to note here that ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE GUARANTEED A WHER, however, the order in which you pick your egg will be influenced by how much you participate. Make sure to put effort and thought into your prompt responses and role-plays, a portion of your effort here will be judged by the staff and effect your final score (pick order placement). The Wher Hatching will be held and the eggs picked. As a bonus, each wher is a semi custom - after the picks are done, the colours will be revealed and the new owners may give two key words to be used in the colouring of their new wher. All colours are available in this event, including gold. No character applications are required.
You do not need a pre-existing character to participate.
