Halima was chasing and batting at a small lizard that she had found. "Hey, get back here!" The lizard was running like crazy away from the lion cub. Halima tried to catch the lizard but the lizard out ran her and she started to slow down from the heat. She couldn't run anymore, she needed to rest. She walked torward a tree along the prideland's border and, rested underneath its shade.

Ghubari was trying his best, having himself covered with the big shadow of the tree, and covered with large leaves, hoping he'd feel cooler if the heat couldn't penetrate the leaves, but it was all for naught.Still, the heat surrounded him, making him extremely hot. While he was feeling miserable, he saw a lizard scurring away for his life, followed by a cub with a creamy color, black markings and cherry-red eyes going after the little lizard. Afterwards, the little cream cub gave up on the lizard and walked toward the shadows of the tree to stay cool, and it was appearing to be the same tree that Ghubari was hiding within it's shadows, although he was quite hard to spot, being covered with large leaves. He watched as the little she-cub walked toward the tree.

Halima felt like she was being watched by unseen eyes. She looked along the the pridelands that was closest to her tree. She went to look from the other side of the tree when she noticed a big pile of leaves from the other side. She looked curiously at the pile. She extended her arm to put her paw through the pile to see what might be in it...but then there was the point of poisonous or dangerous creatures, like snakes. She quickly drew back her paw. "Hello...?", Halima called to it, expecting an answer.

{{Yep, it's long, and pretty dramatic xD}} Ghubari was shy, and didn't feel comfortable with talking to someone he didn't know before. He, at first, thought about making the best menacing voice he could make, telling her to go away, that he was very, very dangerous. But then he thought of the possibilities that could happen if he just came out from his hiding place. He could befriend someone, so he wouldn't have to feel so alone, since his mother left him only a few days. He then thought about his mom. He missed his mother very much. He missed his mother's sweet voice that would calm him down, telling him that they'd find a good home, and that she would feel better soon. He missed his mom's nice, warm fur that would keep him warm throughout the night, and he missed the bond that they had between each other. But now that his mother was gone, it felt like it was the end of his life. But then he thought that maybe being friends with someone would be the best thing for him, so he wouldn't be so alone, or so miserable. He took a deep breath, wiped the small tears from his eye, as he was crying while thinking of his mother, and slowly leaving the deranged 'leaf hut' .

Halima jumped back a couple of inches, suprised to see a small young cub come out of the pile of leafs. The cub was a very light blue, with beautiful white exotic like markings on his face, back, and tail, with faded white on the paws and underbelly. She thought that if he had wings with the same color as his fur then he might of been able to camoflauge in the sky if it weren't for is lilac colored eyes. "Um...Hello.", she said, trying to be friendly. "I'm Halima. I-I like your pelt, beautiful markings."

For a moment, Ghubari could have sworn he was blushing under his fur. He was quite flattered that someone liked his pelt. He thought his own fur seemed pretty odd. "Hello...I'm Ghubari" he said, his head facing the ground. He didn't like looking at the lion or lioness who he never knew in the face as he spoke, he was very shy at that moment. "I like your pelt too...L-looks very nice together.." He then raised his head slightly, facing the Creamy-colored cub who's name was Halima. She seemed nice enough to talk to. Then all of a sudden, a question popped up in his head. "Say...What are you doing here?

"Oh, why thank you", Halima replied. She was rather confused on why Ghubari was acting so strange. When he asked about why she was here she asked,"You mean why i was under your tree or why I'm in the pridelands?"

"Well...Uhh..." Ghubari said, stammering. "Well, shouldn't you be with your mother and father, I mean, aren't they even worried about you?" He was hoping Halima wouldn't ask him why his parents weren't around either, he couldn't bear to explain what happened to his mother or father.

Halima cocked her head, with a quizzical expression on her face but then said," I don't have any parents. They abandoned me a few weeks ago. I guess that with being rogues that they didn't want to have to worry about a cub as they hunted, and traveled and all of that. But its quite fun to be able to run around free, but i still miss them. And i worry about not having protection too." It may have been a few weeks ago that she had been abandoned, but it felt like forever, She can barely remember what her mom or dad had looked like. "So do you have any parents too? You seem quite alone out here....unless if you have someone watching over you on a rock or something..."

{{Once again, a "dramatic moment" x.x}} Ghubari's ears and tail drooped, and his expression showed him that he was hurt. "My dad dissapeared a long while ago, and a few days ago my mom died because of her being weak, and she had this terrible illness as well.." he said, trying to fight the tears back, but he couldn't fight against those tears very well, and the tears streamed down his face. Ghubari quickly turned around and sat on a large root that the tree had left out in the open, wiping his tears away.

Halima felt bad, she didn't mean to make Ghubari so sad. "I'm sorry about what happened to your mom , but, you know there is a good chance that you could find your dad in the future...", She didn't know whether if that was true or not. Halima sat next to Ghubari on the root "I'm soo sorry, I had no idea that you were so sensitive."

Ghubari sniffled as he wiped the tears away from his face. He shouldn't be so mad at Halima, after all, she didn't know about his parent's in the first place. "It's okay, you didn't know much about them, so you had every right to ask..*sniff*" He was wiping away his tears some more. When he felt better, he asked, "What are you planning to do? You're honestly not going to stay out here all by yourself, are you? you could easily starve".

"I don't plan to live alone all my life, I hope to join a pride someday... but i'm probably too young to join one. I won't be able to show my talents that might be helpful to the pride...unless if my hunting skills improve." She hadn't thought about starving, She had often been lucky enough to find some scraps of meat to eat before the vultures came, but she usually ate berries and small animals such as mice, and maybe even lizards. "But for now i shall find my own ways on how to survive...until i get older."

He cocked his head to one side, and thought up of an idea. Since both of them were pretty much rogues, she, abandoned by her own parents. He, abandoned by his dad and left alone when his mother died. Each having no home to come to, but to look for. He then left his thoughts and back to reality, having a great idea. "Hey, since we're pretty much loners, why don't we both see if we can join the pridelands!" He practically jumped with excitement at the thought of joining a pride. Who knows, maybe it was the kind of home his own family was looking for.

"I don't know...like i said, We're probably too young. And as much as i would love to join them...Well, we might get in trouble. What if we cause trouble with other cubs and we get kicked out? I think we should wait until We are older." Halima didn't know whether if she did want to join the pridelanders or not. Maybe she could travel and see the other environments and ways that the other prides lived.
