 Virgilia 900/900 vs  Spinel 1000/1000 --------------------------------------------- Virgilia sat brooding on the grass. She was FINALLY able to sleep, but only because she was so exhausted from fighting that damned Sableye. If she ever saw him again, she'd give him the what-for. After all, she WAS Virgilia, Lady of Elegance. Her ears perked up as she heard shouting off in the distance. Familiar shouting. She went to investigate.

"Tag, you're it! Betcha can't catch me!"
Lyle and Spinel were running around the plains again, but this time they weren't training. No, Lyle was all fun today, playing run-around-until-you're-hot-and-tired games with Spinel. Starting with Tag.
He ran away from the pokemon as fast as his young legs could carry him, swerving and jumping obstacles to evade the pokemon, the both of them laughing all the while. It was only by luck that Spinel only the Buneary a short distance away.

"Sable! Sable sableye!" he announced, stopping dead to point at the Buneary.
Lyle thought his pokemon was playing a trick at first, and didn't slow his running as he glanced over. Then he spotted the Buneary too. "Hey, is that the one from before? Guess we get a rematch!" He grinned at the prospect. They'd done great last time! "Dynamicpunch! Knock it silly!"
Spinel bounded forward, just as eager to battle. He dashed up to the Buneary and swung a fist at the bunny's head.

Virgilia grew indignant at the appearance of the sableye. Speak of the devil, I suppose. Perhaps I can pay him back, now.
She had no sooner finished the thought than the sableye had sped towards her, but she jumped out of the way.
"You have some nerve, barbarian, attacking the Lady Virgilia so callously!"
She finished her sentence with a thrown bolt of lightning.

Spinel yelped as he was struck by the bolt of lightning, then retorted, <"I don't care who you are. My boy says attack so I am! If you don't like it, then try and make me stop!"> He stuck out his tongue at the Buneary for good measure.
Well, his pokemon was in good spirits, though Lyle. It was only one hit, they were hardly sunk yet."Try it once more!" he commanded.
So Spinel rushed forward to try socking Lady High-and-mighty again.

Virgilia rushed forward to slap the taste out of the cretin's mouth - or tried to, at least, before tripping over her own feet. Suddenly, the Sableye was behind her. For what reason, she didn't know, but she didn't like it.
"Get away from me, you dog!" She fired off a bolt of lightning towards the sableye.

Lyle frowned as the bunny dodged and shot lightning at Spinel again. "Alright, just plain hit it!" he said.
Spinel shook himself to try and rid his skin from the lingering static after the two lightning bolts. Then he rushed at the Buneary once again with his fist raised, though this time he wasn't aiming at any part in particular.

Virgilia was struck hard by the attack, and understandably angered. "You dare raise your fist against Virgilia, lady of the Two-Hundred-and-Eighty-Third bloodline?! Know your place!" She ran up to smack Spinel, ice appearing in her palm, but she tripped and fell once more. A patch of grass froze from the ice.

Spinel nimbly skipped out of the way of her pratfall. <"I don't care who you are. We're fighting you, and we're gonna beat you. That's all there is to it."> Then he blew her a raspberry for good measure.
Lyle could help smiling at seeing his pokemon being cheeky again. "Looking good, Spinel. Hit it again!"
Spinel had learned not to get bored at using the same attack over and over. If it worked, it worked. So he leaped forward, aiming another Dynamicpunch.

Spittle flew onto Virgilia's face, which contorted into an expression of murderous rage. "Stand and think of your faults, cretin!" She side stepped the sableye, an orb of ice appearing her palm. She reached out to slap the sableye before he had time to react.

Spinel saw the move coming and backflipped out of the way, just because it could. He landed on his hands and stayed that way, doing a handstand while grinning at the fussy Buneary upside-down.
Lyle considered some attack options, but decided to stick to the direct route for now. "Once more, Spinel!"
The Sableye did a handspring to flip to his feet, then did another flip to dive fist-first at the bunny.

Virgilia slid back from the attack, confused by the illogical movements the sableye displayed. Was it touched in the head? No matter.

When the punch connected with Spinel, he quickly became coated in a fine layer of ice that stopped him in his tracks. It was a thin layer though, and he began working himself free immediately.
"Keep at it, Spinel! You'll be out of there in no time!" Lyle called encouragingly.
