Sydney had listened to enough music for Izy to start singing along with her headphones, and she was feeling listless and bored. Honestly waiting around wasn't her style now that she was back to normal, and the idea of a fully equipped shooting game just above them was making her hands itch. She wanted to shoot something. She was getting out of shape with just sitting around (for all of a day, yes) and if she was going to be an excellent misty, she needed to start up her practicing again.
That's why she was packing a thing of runic bandages and checking her equipment. It was quite obvious that she planned on going up again, but it didn't look like she had a partner to go with her--which was dangerous.

Sasha was yearning to kick the ever-loving spit out of something. A foul mood had wormed its way into her skull, and Sasha had the feeling that the only cure was more cowbell monster-bashing. Maybe some name-calling while doing so.
With a snarky frown twisting her lips, Sasha watched Syd from afar. Her friend seemed to be packing up for a trip topside - and there was no frickin' way that Sasha was going to let the other trainee go alone.
"Syd." Frowny-face. "Are you going out? Outside? Up top?"

Syd looked up, a hint of guilt on her face (how dare she make Sasha frown??) that disappeared with a shrug. "I'm getting cabin fever," she admitted as she slipped her phone into her pocket and summoned Izy in weapon form. "The sooner we off some of those monsters the sooner we can get back to our daily lives, right? And this is a form of training that I can't pass up," she added with a little smile.
She shrugged on her coat and looked at the other hunter curiously. "Why? Do you want to go with me?"

Sasha remained silent though the dour look that Syd was given pretty much summed up exactly how Sasha felt about her friend going up top all by herself. She summoned Nona, gripping the hooks with such force that her knuckles paled.
"I don't want you to go alone," the trainee grouched, lips pinched. "Besides. It.. it might make me feel better." She lifted her chin and narrowed her eyes.
"I've got bandages. And stuff. When are we leaving?"

"Feel better?" Syd asked blankly. "And now, if you don't mind. I'm getting sick and tired of the pokecenter," she added dryly, wanting to head out the door but willing to wait until Sasha said she was ready.
She didn't explain the term "pokecenter" because she didn't even think of it. Ever since she'd gone up with Aleister the underground base had become the pokecenter and the insanity monsters were ghastlies or haunters or whatever other ghost pokemon that Aleister could think of.

Sasha didn't know what a pokecenter was, and she wasn't sure she wanted to know what a pokecenter was.
It was also annoying to have to explain to everyone that she was in a bad flippin' mood. Maybe she would have to just.. frown harder or something.
"I'm ready. Anything to get my mind off of that... off of that stupid gosh-darned dumb list."
She was saving the real cusses for when she was angry.
"Lets go."

Syd nodded, curious about the list but figuring killing things would calm the other girl down enough to explain it later. In fact she didn't say anything until they were in the dorms, weapons at the ready. It seemed strange to deal with a pissed off Sasha. She had never actually seen the other girl angry before. Out of it, ditzy, happy, all of these things she was used to--
"I'll act as moon if we get a big one," she told the other female. "So you won't get hit when you're hitting. It might take longer to fight that way, but it's less likely to get us killed."

Sasha nodded, chewing on her lip while trying to scowl. Being kind of nervous while also in a horrible mood was kind of difficult.
"If I can hit. The last darned time I was up in this frickin' place I couldn't hit a stupid thing."
She needed to focus. Not focusing was going to be a problem if she continued to do it, just like it had been when she was up here with Ami and that doodie-head Otto.
"Ready when you are."

Sydney stepped into the dorm hall, bringing up her crossbow and looking both ways as she started down it. The air was stale, and it made her nose itch. She jerked as she thought she heard something--almost flailing in an attempt to shoot it first-- And there was nothing there. "It's quiet," she said quietly. "Too quiet." Her steps even seemed loud as she made her way forward, turning left and right, weapon ready to shoot. "Maybe if we go further?" she offered to Sasha. It seemed almost funny how she was avoiding the whole "Sasha is MAD" subject for the moment.

Sasha nodded. It had been quiet like this the past few times she'd come up top, so it wasn't anything strange. There would always be something out there lurking, waiting to attack. Sasha had learned to expect the unexpected during her stint as a hunter.
Especially after the list.
Sasha scowled.
"I'm in a bad mood, Syd." Stating the obvious there.

"I noticed," Syd said dryly. "Why do you think I'm looking for something for you to hit?" It made perfect sense to her, but this was the same person that had threatened Aleister with snow down the pants even if he won a snowball fight. She kept going down the hall, getting a bit irritated, herself. "What is going on here?" she demanded of the area around them. "Let me guess, monsters only like the big breasted girls, right? Or pretty boys! I'm calling discrimination on you jerks!" It really seemed like being stuck in a room full of hunters for over a week was making Syd's self control a bit ragged, to say the least.

Sasha gave Syd a half-hearted smile, her frown letting up for a second.
"Maybe they're all dead already. Figures. Frickin' figures."
Tch.
"Syd, let me tell you. I thought to myself, 'okay, Sasha, you fought some monsters. You saw Julie get eaten by bugs. You saw the doctor get eaten by a giant... squid-thing.' Syd, let me give you some.. some stupid frickin' advice."
Sasha scowled.
"Just when you think you've...you've seen everything? You haven't."

"Yeah, well. Come to like... find out?" Sasha paused when Syd reached forward, only to have the tablet crumble beneath her touch. "I'm.. I don't know what it is," she leaned closer only to backpedal quickly when the form moved and shifted into something larger. She tripped on a piece of something, falling flat on her bottom with a painful-sounded grunt. The monster seemed to follow, grasping at Sasha's ankle. "GET AWAY FROM HER!" Syd bellowed, bringing up Izy and firing at the thing. She was trying to situate herself between the monster and Sasha, but in order to do so, she needed to get it to back up.
She watched in horror as the arrow went straight through the monster, not even making a dent.
