Jubilee was looking at clothes swirl around in a front load washing machine at the laundromat. She had gotten her dress dirty, while she was in the forest, so Kidd made her clean it - and his - laundry. He had fallen asleep on a bench by the change machines.
He also lent her his old pajamas to wear, which were far too large. They were white with a repeating Pikachu print. She had the sleeves of the shirt rolled up and it looked like a dress on her. The cuffs of the pants were rolled up too and secured with duct tape.
She sat down in front of the washing machine and spun her finger around. "Spin, spin, spin..." She didn't mind it here, but she was the only child here, so far, so she thought it was boring.

A young woman of twenty three years of age walked into the laundromat with a basket of clothes resting on her left hip and a little boy holding her right hand.
"Alright, let's get these into the washing machine, then I can read while we wait,"the woman told the little boy.
"Hey, what am I supposed to do while we wash clothes, Dea? I mean, the laundromat is not the best place to find any fun or do much,"the little boy pointed out. Dea looked thoughtful as she walked to a free machine and opened the glass door.
"I suppose you could go talk to the little girl, Eilam,"Dea answered, pointing in the direction of Jubilee. Then she proceeded to load the washer with their laundry, seeing Eilam make a face out of the corner of her eye.
"Dea, you know I am not the greatest at talking to others,"Eilam reminded.
"You didn't have any problems talking to Caileen and her friends,"Dea pointed out.
"Well...I suppose I can give it a chance,"Eilam conceded, as he watched Dea finish loading the washer and starting it.

Jubilee saw a woman and boy dressed all in blue come in. She kept looking back and forth between them and the washing machine and weighing her options.
First, she looked over at them. She wanted to go where they were. Then, she looked back. But she didn't want to disobey Kidd. But he was asleep, so how would he know? But he could always wake up. Well, he had only asked her to do the laundry. She didn't have to stay here to do that, did she? It wasn't like hand-washing clothes in the river, because the washing machine looked like it could do fine without her.
She looked at the numbers on the washing machine. She remembered Kidd told her that when they all looked like 0s, it meant the laundry was done. Now, it looked like "30:00". She grinned and said, "That's plenty of time. So long as I'm back by then, he can't get mad."
"Hello, there! What's your name?" She pointed to herself with her thumb. "I'm Jubilee." Then, she smiled and said, "I'm glad I'm not the only kid here anymore. This place smells nice, but it's snoresville."

Dea fished in her bag for her book and pulled it out, giving Eilam a meaningful look.
"Eilam, remember to be nice, alright? I know you have manners, so show them,"Dea told him with a pointed look. Then she walked over to a bench nearby and started to read. While she was reading, she thought the little girl's voice sounded familiar, but told herself she was probably just imagining it.
"Hello Jubi...hey, wait a minute...I know that name. My name is Eilam and I am trying to remember where I heard your name before. The woman who I came in with, he name is Deanna, Dea for short,"Eilam greeted. He looked at the girl and tried to remember why he knew her name. He looked to Dea, but saw her with her nose buried in her book. He sighed softly, before turning back to Jubilee, hoping the girl had the answer.

"Eilam? Hm..." She stopped and thought. She remembered Kidd said his wife, Dea, had an extremely rare Pokemon she nicknamed Eilam. But this wasn't a Pokemon. This was a kid like her. But maybe he was just like her and had been a Pokemon? "I don't think we've met, but I have heard that name before. This is kind of a weird question, but did you look different a while ago? I know I did. Anyway, it's nice to meet you!"
When Kidd heard Dea's voice, he shifted positions on the bench from lying down to sitting up, but he was still asleep. He just sleep-talked in between snores. "Dea. Bread loaf..."

Eilam nodded his head when she asked if he had a previous form awhile ago.
"Yes, I was a Pokemon, one that got changed by a star that I think came from a Pokemon called a Jirachi. I was...well, I suppose I should say I still am a Arceus,"Eilam replied. Eilam knew he had heard the name Jubilee before, but he couldn't figure out where. That's when he and Dea both heard a voice say her name and Dea looked over her book in the direction she had heard the voice come from. She squeaked in joy and her book fell haphazardly to the floor as she bolted up and ran over to the sleeping form. She planted a kiss on his lips, knowing that was one way to wake him up.
"Let me guess, you came with him?"Eilam asked Jubilee, the pieces starting to come together in his head.

Jubilee clapped her hands. She thought this was exciting. So, she was right, after all. He was like her. "I had a feeling. There were too many things that were the same to just be a..." She stopped to think of the word she wanted to say. She was still looking at Eilam the entire time she did so.
Then, she got distracted when she saw Dea kiss Kidd and looked over in their directions instead. "Um...coincidence?"
Kidd suddenly woke up and gazed and Dea. His eyes widened and he smiled. "Well, that was one of the better wake up calls I've ever gotten." Then, he stood up and wrapped one arm around her. "Oh, wow, looky here! I wasn't expecting to see you in a place like this. How've you been? I've been good. Did you bring Eilam with you? I had Jubilee with me, but she's off doing laundry now." He hadn't bothered to look to where he had told Jubilee to be, yet. He was too happy and busy with Dea for that.
After that, she looked back at Eilam. "Yes, I did come with him. Hmm, is she like a princess?" She thought of the fairy tales she read about princes waking up princesses with a kiss and wondered if the opposite was true too.

Dea laughed as she looked at her husband, glad to be with him once again. It had been about a month since they last saw each other, though they talked on the phone every night. She hadn't quite told him what had happened to Eilam, just letting him know most nights he was fine.
"Well, dear, how exactly did you think I do clothing when I am on the road? Maybe when I am at home I can wash clothes in our washer and dryer, but when I am traveling, I use a body of water or a laundromat. I am doing fine, I have missed you terribly, though. Talking on the phone every night is nice, but it isn't the same as being in your arms. Yes, Eilam is with me, but...ummm...well, something happened,"Dea replied, motioning in the direction of Eilam.
"Well, it seems us running into you guys was quite a coincidence. Yes, Dea is definitely like a princess, a real sweetheart,"Eilam smiled. Dea let a cough escape her lips and when Eilam looked in her direction, he could tell she had become sort of pale.
"Oh no, not again,"he whispered.

"That makes sense. Perfect sense." Kidd laughed. He was surprised he hadn't thought of that before. It was probably because he pictured her staying her staying home, because of her condition. But he knew she was adventurous and if she was feeling better, then she'd definitely be on the road again. That made him smile even bigger. "I missed you too. Nothing beats this. Nothing in the whole wide world!"
After what he heard about Eilam, there was a pregnant pause before he spoke again. He looked over at a boy dressed all in blue who was talking to Jubilee. His arms fell limp at his sides. "Is that him?" This sort of thing was incomprehensible to him before, but after seeing a girl use Metronome, he had to open his mind to more possibilities. Just a little more. "He looks different." He wasn't sure how to put it. "Growth spurt, I guess?"
Jubilee thought that was precious. He didn't know Kidd could be princely like that. She thought of him more like a louse. An incredibly nice louse. Like a Voltik. "That's awesome!" She stopped when she saw how concerned Eilam looked. "What's the matter? What's going on?" She felt all sorts of things at once, happy, excited, and confused.
Kidd could tell something was off with Dea. "Are you okay?" He put her hands on her shoulders, because he was worried she might faint. "There's no point in hiding it if you aren't. If you need anything, please tell me."

Dea looked into her husband's eyes and she knew she couldn't lie to him. She shook her head, indicating she was not alright, she felt close to passing out.
"I have been fine for the most part, except for a cold I had a week or two ago. At least, I thought it was a cold, love. I feel like I am going to pass out and I am not sure why. I don't suppose we could get a wheelchair somewhere, could we? I have this sickening feeling I might need one again. Oh and Eilam, yes, the boy over there is him. We found a star and he was magically changed into a kid. We think a Jirachi is responsible for his change and many others,"Dea explained weakly. Her eyes started to close, before they snapped open once again.
"My friend has a very rare disease that makes her barely able to walk sometimes. That is the reason that Kidd joined Team Rocket, he needed the money to help Dea. He loves her as much as all of Dea's Pokemon, maybe a little more. If anything happened to her, it would crush him, it would crush all of us. Something tells me you and I will be traveling companions, Jubilee. If I know Kidd, he will not let Dea out of his sight from now on, I can see the worry in his eyes,"Eilam explained gently. He looked over to Dea and he wished there was more he could do to help.

This was a lot to digest. Even though Kidd didn't understand a lot of it, but he did think it explained everything. He would have to ask questions about this later. As far as he was concerned, Dea needed him now. "Darling, everything is going to be okay. Come, take a seat." He gestured to a an empty spot next to me. Empty, now that was lying down in it, of course.
"I did see some at the grocery store on my way here. I'm sure that'll do until we can get to the hospital." He conveniently left out the meant for customers part. Seeing as he got here on a stolen bicycle and he definitely intended to return the wheelchair once he actually did go grocery shopping, he didn't think it was that important a detail to disclose.
Jubilee was definitely familiar with the name Team Rocket. Her eyes lit up when it was mentioned. She wanted to ask Eilam more about what he knew. There was so much going on, right now, though, that she'd have to wait 'til later. She didn't particularly want to accept that, since her curiosity compelled her to ask questions. "I see. I know I'd feel bad if he did. And he would if she did and I'm sure you would too. I can tell she's loved." She smiled uneasily. It was hard, because she was so worried about Dea. "You sound like you know what you're saying. Amazing." She liked that there were people who could be as certain as he was.
Kidd had no intention of letting Dea out of his sight, so he had to trust someone else to get a wheelchair. "Jubilee!" he shouted.
Her Togetic-ish ears perked up. "Huh? What? Do you need something?" She was worried he might be mad at her.
"Could you get a wheelchair, please?" He didn't particularly want to do this, but after living with her and seeing her mature a teeny, tiny bit in that time they were together, he had to have some faith in her.
She was relieved that he wasn't angry at her at all. She looked back at Eilam and said, "It looks like you were right. We will be traveling together. Not very far. It's just next door." She turned around and walked to the exit. Without looking back, she said, "You are coming with me, right?"

At her husband's words, Dea nodded her head and sat down on the bench beside him. She rested her head on his shoulder and wrapped her hands around his arm.
"I am sorry, hon, I guess I really have rotten timing with this flaring back up, huh? We should be enjoying spending some time together, instead of you worrying about me. Speaking of which, where is Spike?"Dea asked very softly.
"Trust me, we will be traveling together a lot more, Jubilee. You see how he is reacting and how he is having you get him the wheelchair? He doesn't want to leave Dea's side and I don't he will want her by herself for quite some time. Yes, I do know quite a bit, so maybe I will be able to answer questions you might have. Yes, I will be coming with you, it will allow me to do something for my friend,"Eilam admitted. He followed after Jubilee, with just a quick glance over his shoulder at the two.

"Nah, nah, nah." Kidd fanned his left hand as a minimizing gesture. "There's no need to be sorry. It's not like it's your fault."
"Yeeeah, the timing could be better, but that's life for you, right there. When this is all said and done with, I want to spend some quality time with you. Speaking of which, where're you staying now? I've just been in the --" He stopped to think of a less blatant word than "barracks". He didn't want anyone besides her to overhear that. They couldn't tell he was a grunt, because he wasn't in uniform - he was wearing a white tee shirt, blue jeans, and work boots. He was fine with telling her, because she already knew this already. "--it's kind of like a dorm. You know the place."
"Oh, Spike's fine. He's in his Pokeball, right now. I've got it hooked to my belt. Do you want to see him?"
Without stopping, Jubilee responded to Eilam. "I see." If it weren't for their current predicament, she would have gushed a lot more. "In that case, we are allies. Partners? In laws?"
She stopped when she got to the grocery store. She went inside, got a wheelchair, and headed back outside. "Okay, I got it. If we push it together, we'll get there twice as fast."

Dea smiled softly when she heard him call the barracks he was in a dorm of sorts. She knew exactly what he was talking about and knew he didn't want anyone to know, except the few that knew who he was. To most people, he would just look like a normal husband, one who would do anything for his wife. She knew that was true, but she also knew he worked for Team Rocket. He didn't look like their typical agents, but he had joined for her sake, wanting to do all he could to make her better.
"Yes, I do know the place, love, though still do not know how you sleep in that room of your's. I always thought those beds were a little lumpy. Eliam and I have been sleeping in our sleeping bags that we usually have at the ready. Since we have been working on finding the Jirachi and helping anyone that needs it, we haven't been sleeping in regular beds for awhile. Oh and I would like to see Spike, if you wouldn't mind, dearest,"Dea replied.
Eilam followed after Jubilee and he smiled softly, thinking of her like she was a kid sister. While he thought of how to answer her, he took one handle of the wheelchair they had gotten to and nodded his head to her suggestion.
"I think we are more like siblings, Jubilee. I mean, we are both kids right now and it sounds better than saying in laws. Let's get this back to them, before Kidd starts panicking,"Eilam suggested with a smile. He thought Jubilee was going to be a good friend and he was going to enjoy traveling as a group. Maybe with so many of them, they could better care for Dea, even if Dea might not be as crazy about being hovered over. He knew Dea would appreciate so many people caring about her.

"You're right, they are kind of lumpy. But it's okay. It kind of reminds me of the bed I had growing up. It's weird how you get nostalgic over the strangest things, right?" Kidd just knew it. She was adventuring. He was glad that the two of them had sleeping arrangements comparable to his own, but he still worried about the whole not having a roof over their heads thing.
"And no problem. I'm sure he'll be on his best behavior. He just saves his stink eye for me." After that, he reached for his Pokeball, let Spike out in front of him, and stuck the empty ball back on his belt.
Spike turned around and glared at Kidd. He stopped when he noticed Dea. Then, he began preening himself, because he wanted to look his best for someone he considered an honored guest. After that, he looked at the two of them. He could tell something was up, but he wasn't sure what. He put his forepaws on Kidd's leg to prop himself up and looked over at Dea.
Meanwhile, Jubilee was with Eilam and they were at the door of the laundromat. "So, I can call you 'brother' then?" She thought this would take a while to get used to. She had come from a big family with many brothers she had known since she and they had been hatched, while she had just met Eilam. But she thought the sooner she started, the easier it'd get. It already felt like they knew eachother, because of Kidd and Dea.
"I know we give this to them when we get inside, but how exactly does this work? I know you sit on up and wheel around, but can she do that herself or what?" She thought Eilam would know more about Dea's level of mobility than she would.
