Welcome to The Asylum!
Oh, you don't believe this is an asylum? Well, the why don't you come in. I'm sure I'll be able to convince you now.
On the outside, The Asylum looks like a normal large mansion, but inside, it's quite different. The halls are filled with insane people. They're yelling, screaming, and some are even physically hurting themselves.
Now, don't you see why this is an asylum? These people are crazy. There is nothing they can do. Now, would you like to see some of the patients' rooms? Come this way.
The next hallway is narrow and dimly lit. On the left and right are doors leading to rooms.
Ah, this one looks empty. Take a peek.
The room is almost completely dark and it is spotless. Everything on the dresser is organized neatly, and there is not a speck of dust.
Ah, an OCD person's room, not very common here. People who have schizophrenia or suicidal thoughts are more common.
We will do anything to heal our patients. Anything. We will hurt them if necessary. We wish to keep them safe, and that is the only goal of The Asylum.
Anyway, now you have a choice: Would you like to work here? or Would you like to become a patient of insanity? Remember, you can't leave now that you've come.So, The Asylum. You've seen it, so now, go ahead and make your character! Rules posted below.

*Rules*
1. No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stus. I do not want your character to have the most tragic past anyone could think of. (i.e. abused for 10+ years and having been saved from suicide 5+ times, etc.)
2. Please keep any romance (though I doubt they'll be any), PG-16. (aka No sex)
3. Violence please keep PG-16 as well (i.e. Blood welled on her head and a long gash ran along her scalp with bone sticking out, etc.)
4. Please have a 2:1 ratio. If you have 2 patients and want to create another, please create AND ROLEPLAY AS a facility worker first. And of course, vice versa.
5. I like pretty posts, however, they're optional.

Personality: Katika is shy and quiet. Her slightly creepy image drives people away, so she's almost always alone. Somehow, whenever she actually makes a friend, she ends up hurting them. Katika hallucinates and when she does, she can go into any mood, from seeing something and cracking a small real smile to something devastating and she'll go into a fit of anger that takes two to three people to calm her. Her sanctuary is music and writing. Writing seems to be her only talent, and she does it whenever she can to clear her head. When she writes, she pictures herself in the scene, and because of this, Katika doesn't pay attention to her hallucinations.
Biography: One day, Katika was just at an ice cream parlor with her new friend. She was putting on fake smiles, until she had this delusion that her friend was trying to hurt her. She snapped and attacked, giving her friend a broken wrist, broken rib, and concussion. The other people at the parlor called the police, who took Katika and put her in The Asylum.
Other: Her one comfort is animals, so she has a lot in her room.

Personality: Kuraia is generally a kind and caring person. However, when someone does something she doesn't like, she can get extremely angry. She enjoys singing, and has gotten many compliments on it. Kuraia's least favorite thing is being in the asylum and seeing other people there as well.
Biography: Kuraia doesn't really have much of a bio. She had a pretty normal life, with a lot of friends and a loving family, until she was "accidentally found" by The Asylum at age 14. Since then, her life had taken a large turn for the worse.

Personality: On a normal basis he is very happy, playful and childlike, but can sometimes appear very docile and quiet , like when his attention is turned to something for a long while. However that doesn't happen a lot as he can have a short attention span. On another side, his personality can hit a down slope and he can become a cold, somewhat sadistic person, who will laugh at anyone's misfortune, the more someone is suffering the more he's grinning and laughing. However this darker side is greatly calmer than the more cheerful side and tends to avoid people more often.
Biography: Luca was out at the local park one day when this taller more muscular boy came up and took away his favorite pinwheel toy, he at first tried to get it back, oblivious to how rude the other boy was and was harshly pushed to the ground scraping his knee. He was then hit with a very splitting headache and as he would later say, "it was like someone flipped a light switch and everything got hazy..." When he could consciously recollect what happened, he was first over the boy, with a broken off tree branch clenched tightly in his hands, then he was put into a restraint hold and transported to a hospital ER with the boy. The boy would later be treated for a broken arm and a severe contusion, and Luca was diagnosed as mentally ill and quickly shipped to the asylum.
Other: He enjoys sweets, and can usually be found playing with a toy of some sort. His most prized possession is a golden heart locket that when opened plays a soft lullaby, and the things that most trigger his personality switches is a harsh situation the childlike side can't handle emotionally, the other personality is, in a sense, a defense mechanism for the truly scared child.
Disorders: Dissociative identity disorder, and slight ADHD.

Personality: Eris is very eccentric and just all over the place. She’s very impulsive and just all over the place sometimes and at other times she’s so calm and quiet most people find it extremely eerie.
Biography: Eris wasn’t always crazy, in fact her childhood was fairly normal, she didn’t have any issues with her mental state until she got older. It started around her 17 birthday every once and a while her family or friends would catch her talking to herself but everyone brushed it off because, hey who doesn’t talk to themselves at least once in a while. Around her 18th birthday it escalated from just little comments to hour long in depth discussions with the thin air, her family and friends became worried as she spent more and more time off by herself and she started developing these extreme mood swings where she’d be completely fine one moment and the next be off on some violent tangent that would last from 5 minutes to 5 hours. She was finally put into the Asylum when her roommate came in one day to find her having a very detailed conversation with her reflection in the bedroom mirror.
Other: She likes painting and it helps keep her calm.
Disorders: Schizophrenia, and Borderline Personality Disorder

Personality: She has multiple personality disorder, but is usually clever, kind, serious, and sometimes shy
Biography: Alyce lived a happy life, she was 10 years old then, and everything was perfect. She had the perfect family, That consisted of her sister Lizzie and her two parents. Also a cat. Though one night all of that changed. A man came into her house, and went into LIzzies room for awhile. When he came out he had her room key, and locked Lizzie's door. Taking a match, he set the house on fire. Though severly burned, Alyce made it out with her life. The others werent as lucky. Alyce had watched her parents and sister incinerate right before her eyes, and the image made her quite mad. Soon she was put in the Mental Asylum, and has lived there ever sence. Her phyciatrist, A close friend of the Everdeen family, took her under his wing. Though theres something sinister going on though, because Alyce dosent know he burned her house down.

Personality: Zora is schtizophrenic but she is most of the time she is happy and quiet.
Biography: Zora had a happy childhood, an only child with two loving parents. Well for a while.. When she was 10 her parents began to argue about everything and grown to dislike each other. Her father became an alcoholic which made her mother fuss at him more. While all this happened Zora developed a voice in her head who became her "friend". Her parents never noticed Zora when she talked to herself because they never cared. When Zora turned 16 she didn't have a birthday party because she had no friends so she just stayed in her room that day. Her parents however got in a big fight and Zora heard them so she went to where they were and tried to stop them, but the situation only became worse. Her father hit her in the head really hard and when that happened she changed. She was the same Zora but the voice that she had in her head since she was 10 snapped and told her to kill her parents. She did what she was told to do because the voice was her only "friend" and while she killed her parents, she didn't care and was actually happy because she was finally at peace from her parents, but since she killed her parents she was sent to the Mental Asylum and she has been there for 2 years.

Personality: It varies...Most of the time she was calm and collected, other times she was like the devil. She had several anger outbursts and very few nurses could handle her. She is very...out of it and she asks relatively stupid questions. Her favorite question is "Does my thumb look spanish...?" She stares blankly at nothing and when people ask her why, she just brushes them away with something random. Ember always has a innocent look in her eyes, even when she was angry.
Biography: Ember grew up roughly. Her family had never in her life had more than $100. She never really went to school, she went when she had to. Hense the Anti-Social Behavior disorder. She never got along with anybody but her mother, who was relatively the same way as Ember. She always carried her stuffed bunny named, Mimzy. She also uses a purple pen to right "Hope" On the inside of her right wrist with a peace sign above it.
Other: She recently found out she could communicate with dogs and wolves.

Personality: Alice is kinda creepy. She has fantasies about death and pain constantly. She likes to talk about it, and attempts to make it sound poetic, when really it freaks others out. Shes....sorta cheerful. Happy but with sadness underneath. One can only assume the sadness is from not being able to hurt herself.
Biography: Alice started with a normal life, and normal, happy family. A mother, father, and older twin brother. Alice's parents knew to keep sharp object away, because Alice reached for those more than anything else. Nobody knew why. One day, years later, a teenage boy threw a glass bottle at their mailbox. Alice's parents quickly cleaned it up, and kept pushing 5 year old Alice back so she wouldn't reach for them. However she hid a longer shard in her pocket before they noticed. Later in her room, she started toying with the glass, and cut herself. It was by accident, but Alice was mesmerized by the sight of blood, and loved the pain from it. It made her feel like all the bad was leaking out. She began to do this, and eventually her parents walked in and, predictably, freaked out. That's when Alice learned to do this in secret. Over the years she got better and better, until eventually she went too far. At age 10, she cut too deep, and she passed out from blood loss. She woke in a hospital, and her parents didn't show up. They had enough, and couldn't take it. She was put in a facilitly for people with 'problems'. Her parents and brother visited occasionally, but not much. Once she got ahold of something sharp, she cut herself obsessivley, and hurt anyone to get in her way. Eventually she rejected everyone's visits, and she was moved to different asylums, only recieving visits a few times a year.
Other: Keep sharp objects AWAY from her. She can and WILL use them to hurt herself.
Disorders: Self mutilater, Obsessed with death.

Personality: When the "Numbers'' aren't talking to her she can be a quite an enjoyable person to be with. It's obviously easy to make or break any relationship with her and she is mostly happy to be with people. She doesn't enjoy hurting people but that's only when she's really herself.
Biography: At a very young age she started to hear the voices in her heads, she would call them the numbers. and they could be any numbers, such as 9 or 52. They quickly took a turn for the worst, they used to be talking about happy, cute things like playing but then as she got older they turned into murder plans. They would tell her to kill the family pets, mother, father and siblings. The Numbers would rarely stop talking to her while she was young and even though her younger and older sisters cared for her the Numbers always talked about them. Not all of them were bad, though some were. Her parents treated the numbers like they were real while she was young so that she woundn't dissagree or anything to that nature. He older sister, Veronica and Astra had gotten into a fight anf when her sister had gone the extra mile Astra ripped a dress from her closet and did what the Numbers told her to. She tried to choke Veronica. With all of the yelling and screaming it was hard for her parents not to hear and they literaly had to pull them apart.
A couple of years later a couple of robbers came to rob their house and while she stayed hidden she watched her family get murdered, which didn't help her case a bit. Once the police arrived they had found her in the puddles of blood laughing and they assumed that she had murdered them. She was taken to the aslyum at the age of eight and has been there ever since.
Other: Take her black mask and you have a problem on you hands. She is a big writer, she will just sit in a corner and write... or draw. Sometimes she Speaks Swedish because she is mostly Swedish.

Personality:Kali has a dark personality, and often secludes herself. She gets violent when she is touched by anyone. She has imagined friends, but nothing that would permit any mental disorder
Biography: Kali led a normal life. Her parents thought that her imaginary friends were harmless, and for the most part, they were. She was an only child, so her imagined friends were to be expected. Some kids at her school picked on her, and would try to get her angry. It never really worked. One night, her house caught fire, no one knows why, her right eye was badly damaged, (it was already not well from birth) so the doctors removed it. Everyone got out safely, but that's when she really changed, and was sent away.
Other: She loves to draw on the walls, floors and anything, really
Disorders: easily angered, doesn't like any contact with people, has only one eye

Personality: Akio is cruel and heartless. He only cares about hurting others, and he will sometimes bring people he finds interesting to the asylum, even if they're not crazy.
Biography: Akio was born a normal human. At age 20, he was captured by a group of demons who, sensing the power inside of him, tried to kill him. However, Akio was able to unleash his full power and destroy all but one. The one that survived, confident that Akio would obey him, turned Akio into a demon. With his new-found strength, Akio killed his "master" and began to terrorize the city. He saw insane people, and founded The Asylum.

Personality: Anastasia is the kind, confident, and stubborn person. Her personality is usually outgoing and fun, even though at times she can be shy. She handles pressure pretty well, and she doesn't hold grudges. In certain times she can be serious, and pretty strict. She still has the kid in her though. Her odd style, and short stature usually has her confused with a patient, looking like she is a young teen doesn't help either. Anna always has to wear a badge to show she is a worker, and not a patient. The badge is the only thing she will wear of the dress code, refusing the scrubs or lab coat showing that she works for the Asylum. She feels like the patients would connect with her more if she seemed like more of a peer, than a worker.
Biography: Anna goes to college part time, and works at the Asylum part time. She wants to get a major in the medical field, and she figures this would be the fastest way to get experience. The job also pays pretty well, since it is the only thing keeping her in school. She lives in an apartment on campus, her parents gone long before her schooling at the university.
Other: She loves talking with the patients, and listening to them. She will listen to their stories and their life. Anna doesn't judge, she also doesn't talk about her life or family to anyone either.

So when she was 18 she went into the army and was a nurse there for 2 years. Then she got board with it. It wasn't fun anymore. Tori when found out they need workers here one day and got a job here.

Personality: Not quite cruel, but cold. Bakura likes seeing people squirm. Though in all truth it’s from years of being on the other end of the stick.
Biography: Bakura started out his life rough. After growing up in an abusive broken home he looked he was going to make a good life, until he had the breakdown. After that he spent a few years in a mental hospital and was eventually let out for good behavior. He now works at the asylum and can’t wait for hell to break loose.
Other: Has a fear of needles when there aimed for him, but has no trouble playing ‘tag’ with patients when he has to do medications. He prefers Frilly or other wise girly clothing and is often mistaken for a girl because of it. Out of all the workers, he probably the one who should be admitted.

Lost in her delusions... ~~Katika Nerus~~ ~Katika sat in her room playing with one of her kittens and writing a story. She lazily dangled the cat toy above the kitten's head as it reached up and pawed at it. She smiled, her story was quickly developing. Only a little bit left until it'll be done, she thought happily. Closing her eyes, she pictured herself in a dark forest, just like the character in her story. She ran, looking for any way out. She was snapped out of her vision by her cat sinking it's claws into her leg. Slightly annoyed, she dangled the toy again. Katika couldn't keep the laughter from her eyes as more of her pet ran up to her and rubbed against her.~ ...insanity has taken control Not even crazy... ~~Kuraia Woods~~ ~Kuraia sighed irritably. She wandered the halls of The Asylum looking for something to do. She wandered into an empty room. She began humming softly under her breath. Her singing slowly stretched out and drifted into nearby rooms.~ ...yet still stuck in hell Driven crazy by power... ~~Akio Senka~~ ~Akio laughed cruelly as he surveyed the screen. I knew placing security cameras around this place would be good, he thought. The look on their faces... ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Λnastasia ɔ ross ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Anastasia seemed to almost skip when she bounced into the building. She had her badge on, as always, to show she was a worker and not a young patient. She greeted the guard with a smile and a wave, like always. Every patient she came across she made sure to wave and smile. She stopped by the front desk to check in, and to get her daily duties. Her job was to give medication, spend time with the patients, and do anything that Akio needed. She shared the daily news of the day with the women at the front desk, including that she just got her new apartment decorated. All the trivial things she talked about with her coworkes, leaving out her most personal things. She walked down the hallways, with her clipboard. Stopping to make sure everything was in place and there were no mishaps. Even if there were, she would have to call on the guards to help her. She was to small to deal with a rampaging patient. Her speed would help with the most part, but other than that she had no way to defend herself. She sighed, her job was way harder than she imagined. She would just have to make the best of it.

" What is your tactics soldier? Are you going to survive!?"

Alyce blinked as she came back to reality, And again looked ahead to see the litte girl twirling in a fit of echoey giggles around the halls. This girl shimmered a bit as she moved, as did most of her hallucinations did. The little girl had a pale blue night gown on, and hair as red as fire. The girl called herself Mary. Mary... Alyce always loved that name..."May I ask what you are doing ?" Alyce asked. The girl paused, her back to Alyce. Then with a sudden twist she faced alyce. Mary's expression was frightened. Which made Alyce regret she even asked. The girls small, round finger pointed towards the corner of the wall. And there it was...a camera. Alyce sighed, and her lips pulled into a smile. Placing herself right In front of the camera she put her arms behind her back. She rocked back and forth on her heels. "Akiio? Are you watching us again?" she asked,. Knowing she hadn't seen him today. Alyce also knew the video had an Audio part, and hoped that Akio would answer. She was bored, and despite Akios rather mean ways Alyce wanted to talk too him...or at least someone .

¯¨'*•~-.¸¸,.-~*'€rîs Segaðµs¯¨'*•~-.¸¸,.-~*' Eris sat on the edge of her bed tapping her foot against the floor in a steady rhythm "I do quite like the color purple" she spoke cheerily to one of the many hallucinations that were milling about her room. To anyone passing by the open door they would have seen her smiling and chatting animatedly to the thin air but in her eyes she was speaking to a large group of familiar friends. She shook her head and laughed out loud at something one of the hallucinations had whispered in her ear "You're a silly one Arthur" she hummed tracing little patterns along her wrist.

"Yes I can" she said with a happy voice. Sometimes this happened, a random power of some sort would come into play in her mind. Then it would be gone in a moment. In this case she just read his mind. When he didn't answer she sighed and sat down against the wall, flattening the ruffles in her dress. As she did this she began to sing, which would cause anyones heart to skip a beat. Alyce had many years of practicing her voice, and it became quite hypnotizing in a way. The litte hallucination Mary sat across from her, memsmorized by her singing.
"Alyce? Why are your songs so sad?" the girl asked.
"what do you mean?" alyce asked in a curious voice.
"There always sad. Why?" the girl asked once again.
"I don't know..."she said with a sigh and a shake of her head. The only reason she was sad now was that she was lonely
