QUESTLINE: Planting the trees As you walk around the reservation, you notice a few former War clan members squabbling amongst themselves. They seem to have dug several rather large, impressive holes.
"Did you bring any seeds?" The female clansmember seems extremely agitated, literally harping on the male. He in return, says nothing. "We need seeds of strong saplings, nothing else will support our huts."
She suddenly spots you. "'You there! Come here." She points the ground, where a few small seeds are buried." I need you to go to the Weeping Forest and find tree seeds exactly like these ones. We need to grow the strongest trees."
Before you can argue she points you in the direction of the Weeping Forest. Oh well, better get startedOOC - Roll a 100-sided dice and match your dice roll to the results below. Keep on rolling until you obtain at least 2 perfect seeds. You have completed the RP once you have fulfilled this requirement. - 1-20: The tree you manage to find and scale is weak and sickly. It does not seem like it will be suitable - 21 - 40: You find a particularly large tree, and rather nasty too, as it swings its branches, nearly disemboweling you on the spot. You manage to snag one seed from its branches before you have to flee away from it. +1 seed- 41 - 60: The tree seems to be very promising, but it seems to only be budding at the very very top. The branches are too dense to fly, so you take the dangerous trek of climbing up, but can only reach one seed before you fall back down. +1 seed-61 - 80: You look around, trying to find your way... you could have sworn you took this path before. You feel a little lost.... - 81 - 100: You see a suitable tree, but before you can grab at it, a minipet runs away with your find. Maybe you should find that minipet and skin it...

Zhi wasn't sure what a War Clan member would need a short Conquest Artisan for, but she walked forward none the less when the figure called out for her. The War Clan had forgotten their trees? Not even the saplings? Zhi's brows pushed together, and after a moment, she nodded. "Of course. I would be glad to assist in further rebuilding." She was then instructed to go find some tree seeds out in the Weeping Forest. She gave a light bow, and then moved out into the woodlands.
Zhi's back arched slightly as she attempted to look to the top of the trees, sifting through their branches with her eyes. Now, where would she find one of these seeds? Almost immediately she spotted one, and brightened up. That wasn't hard at all! As she moved to reach toward it though, some speedy minipet whipped past and stole it. She frowned, resisting summoning her bow and shooting down the thing. It had had a nice pelt, perhaps it would've been a soft texture to work with...
No, no, Zhi wouldn't let herself be so distracted. She'd lost one seed. She needed to find another, now.

Eisheth was walking down the Sanctuary looking for some additional work to do: today was yet another lazy working day, and she was floating in her thoughts, trying to get used to the idea the island is no more, over and over again. No Oasis with the oily water, no crops... and some of them were very, very interesting, she wished she had studied them more. Two War clansmen were arguing about the seeds: they were going to raise the trees to support their houses. Well, that sounds like a nice work. Anyway, Eisheth clearly needed to be dragged out of her thoughts, or she would literally go insane without any Insanity. She had always been curious about the trees on the War island; how did they manage to grow so high to actually support the houses? The funny thing was, War horsemen did nothing to assist the trees, they were growing themselves. Perhaps, she can find some new and interesting species in the Weeping forest... at least, there's something to study. Right near the entrance to the forest she noticed a large, gnarly tree; it was swinging almost disemboweling her. However, having a good experience in dealing with the plants, Eisheth managed the snag the seed. She was studying it curiously when the alchemist noticed a young female horseman in colourful and vivid clothes. " Conquest...", she realized. " Hello there!", she addressed to the lady. " Are you looking for the seeds as well?..." ((1 seed obtained!))

Zhi's attention was on the trees before her when she heard the sounds of movement, branches rustling and...was that the sound of one swinging? But there was no noticeable wind to cause such an action... Confused, she looked back, in time to see someone with an exposed rib-cage, and thus most likely from Famine, snagging a seed from the branch of what seemed to be an animated tree.
After a moment, the figure spoke up, addressing the situation at hand. Zhi gave a short bow and nod. "Indeed I am. It seemed you already have found good fortune in your search as well." The other woman had already found a seedling, after all. Perhaps they were a plant specialist?
Whatever the case was, Zhi continued to look around, trying to spy another seed that would match the Faminer's. All of the trails seemed to look similar from this point though. Had she already checked those trees, or not?

Eisheth started the conversation easily, like she was in a good mood. " Oh yeah. To tell the truth, I hadn't really seen trees so huge before... well, I may have seen some big trees in the Human word, but you know.. they are like not real. You've been to the lairs in the human world, right? Ah, of course, you had, I ten to forget mostly only those who were in lairs survived". Eisheth remained silent for a bit, until it got awkward. " Sorry", she gulped. " I'm still... trying to get used to. You know.
Actually, it's not difficult. I'm not that good in plants, I'm an alchemist actually. But seriously, they are just big crops. Approach them as a master, you're simply going to harvest what you need. They normally feel the person and their attitude, almost like the minipet. Look!", proving her words the alchemist snagged another seed from the nearest branch. ((1 seed obtained, 2 totally!))

Zhi nodded along as the other woman joined in the search, listening to the Famine Clanner chatter on. "The trees here are quite large." She agreed, half her attention on the conversation while the other half voiced again on finding their necessary supplies. After a brief period of silence, the Faminer apologized. What for, Zhi couldn't tell. Ah, the new Clan...? The Artisan gave a consoling sound, and spoke once the other had finished. "Of course. Many will be troubled in these tremulous times. If you need to speak your worries, I will not stop you."
Zhi listened with a bit more attention when the figure brought up their point. The alchemist tamed another tree, and her eyes widened slightly. Impressive indeed. How did one go about taming a plant...? Could that perhaps be a new art?
Determined to try out what she'd seen the alchemist do, Zhi quickly sighted on another seed. As she reached up to grab it, another minipet swooped in and snagged it right off the branch, toting the seed away in it's claws. Zhi's face reflected her vague shock and not-so-vague-anger toward that minipet. She looked back over her shoulder to the Alchemist and spoke again, rather sheepishly this time. "Ah, I do not think that these minipets want me to take the seeds."
Santime (I think we have enough, I'm just rolling to see how badly Zhi fails at all this. XD; )

Trira I got my two, but it's ok! I'll be happy to RP with you until you get 2, as well! Btw, if you want any alpaca hunting together, I'm up for it, too smile " Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Eisheth, the alchemist, and pleasure to meet you.
We on Famine had very few of the plants; our climate was harsh and arid. So we got used to a balance of taming / caressing each plants, like ti was an animal. Think about it as about art: it's normal you don't have good results when you first try, but you do it again, and again, and finally master it. Well, I think you can explain it better than me: we never really had "art" on famine, our ways were strongly practical". Eisheth smiled remembering old days, and couldn't help laughing. " So, how are you doing here? I haven't been to the Conquest place yet, but everyone says it's already beautiful."

Zhi looked up from her inspection of the trees, eyes widening slightly when she realized she hadn't introduced herself earlier. What a breach in politeness on her part! She gave a hasty nod-bow in response to the introduction and spoke herself. "Ahh, I apologize for not introducing myself eariler. I am Zhang Zhi, an Artisan, but you may refer to me as Zhi."
Like an art? Zhi could handle arts. Learning and performing arts were her life, after all. "Ahh, perhaps I can do that, then." She gave a nod, approaching another tree and looking around for a seed within it's branches. She returned the idle chatter as she looked, "No art? That is a tragedy within itself! Surely this will be rectified now that all of our people are one. Although, all things are artistic in their own way, like the lilt in a sound or the shades of a plant. Even the dunes of your lands are beauty in their own form." She gave a nod (despite not actually having seen the dunes at any close distance), continuing with a proud tone, "I certainly hope it can gain back it's former beauty. What we have now is the remains of generations of culture and art, but I hope we can return it to it's glorious state once more. Of course, we can share the beauty with the other clans as well."
She noticed another seed and swept out her arm for it, managing to catch it from the branch before the plant could actually injure her. She gave a smile and held up the capture seed, joy and pride etched in her features.

" It's nice to meet you, Zhi. I hadn't had an opportunity to study.. I mean, to encounter Conquest clansmen before. But now.. personally I think, we shall all stick together, after all, not so many of us survived. It's our only chance to rise again", Eisheth smiled sadly. " Oh! See? I told, it's not that hard! What was the art you specialized in?.. In Famine we hadn't much time for art, everything we did was quite practical: we had to survive in the landscape.. but the concept of doing something just for the beauty of it really fascinates me. It's so unusual!
Actually, I've been thinking of conducting some research or may be practicing some simple famine alchemy, when we will be more settled down here. Because, you know, without practice all your skills manage to fade away. So.. if you want, we can teach each other, or probably combine our efforts to create something useful and beautiful. It's just a random suggestion, I don't insist!", the alchemist laughed. Trira Yup-yup, it's fine, I had a lot of RL stuff as well; just checked for Phase 2 announcement in the guild! So thinking how to use this opportunity

" It was nice to meet you, Zhi. I'm glad we've met here. I'm sorry, but I have to get going now... please, think about my offer. I don't want to insist, or anything, but I will delighted with your company", the alchemist sent a soft smile to the artisan. " Bye!" That concept of art... All her life Eisheth was taught there's no higher value in the world than practical use. Logic was her religion, and usefulness was her art. The seed hunt turned to prove her way right, but... she couldn't help thinking about the "art" thing. There were Four Clans of the horsemen once, and they were all ancient and such; they all have their traditions and ways. Of course, she believed Famine was the best, but other clans had their own, sometimes very difficult to understand concepts she never actually bothered to be interested in. Well, in fact she never even had an opportunity to sudy other clans that close. But perhaps the end of their world accidentally has an affect clans couldn't achieve in generations: it made them closer to each other. She had a lot of things to think over. [EXIT] Trira Sorry, dear! I really try to catch up with Phase 2, but I'll be happy to RP Eisheth and Zhi together later anytime! Looks like Zhi made a very good impression on Eisheth, and she would love to study him more!
